come here 3 times a week at least because of family - nephew loves the hokkaido milk bread, dad likes the danishes (i think blueberry and apple pie are the best, better than the strawberry one but that isn't bad too)my personal favorite is actually the brown rice english muffin. it's bland but it's so soft inside and it's not too firm on the outside. i would recommend eating it with a slice of cheese and toasted for a savory treat, or i like it with bonne maman brand chestnut puree (available at
my personal favorite is actually the brown rice english muffin. it's bland but it's so soft inside and it's not too firm on the outside. i would recommend eating it with a slice of cheese and toasted for a savory treat, or i like it with bonne maman brand chestnut puree (available at park n shop/gourmet/great/taste) for a hint of sweetness.
i really liked their chocolate chip coffee stick too but that was a limited edition and i only saw it once about 3 weeks ago.
also liked their sweet potato stick a lot which has bits of japanese sweet potato in it.
their melonpan (japanese version of pineapple bun) has a nice hint of condensed milk flavor to it.
brioche sucre is another classic. its texture is cakey, much like the dough in donuts.
have never tried their steamed cakes before. i aspire to do so one day.
they have muffins now, this is a recent addition and it doesn't look all that appealing - neither bakery-style nor authentic. but then again i have not tried it so you dont have to take my word for it. but it is very small, that i can assure you.
i do recommend this bakery. it's awesome for a post-shopping marathon quick bite!
