老牌餐廳,友人好想一試,去啦。一入去,好有70年代feel,格仔檯布,用老套d字係。。。好浪漫。主題試的是$160($170?有點健忘)-100g的牛。真係幾貴。唔記得是那類牛或位置。好似係Chicago prime rib。當晚最細都要700g。友人目的是一試,咁只好試啦。一上檯,巧大塊吖~~~ 。 侍應是用車推出嚟,巧grand呀~~~。佢地好細心問我地要唔要影相先,俾我地影完相先上碟。碟上還有一個焗薯。侍應會問你要唔要醬。非常好。講番牛,我地要5成,真係好耐未食過剛好5成的牛。外皮燒得剛好,但唔覺炭燒味。內裡紅紅的但血水全收。於是,軟滑的牛慢慢走入我的口中。味道厚,有肉味,可惜,呢一塊比較多肋了,真是美中不足呢。焗薯ok ah..焗得不錯呢,奶油,煙肉等基本野啦。菜就無dressing 啦。由於驚太飽,叫了一個基本沙律,可以自己加醋及 Oliveroil。菜,一般,無咩特別甜唔甜。只為清清腸胃。整體不過不失,全晚得幾檯客,很適合傾計。而服務員個個都好好態度,真係好難搵喇。

外皮燒得剛好,但唔覺炭燒味。內裡紅紅的但血水全收。於是,軟滑的牛慢慢走入我的口中。味道厚,有肉味,可惜,呢一塊比較多肋了,真是美中不足呢。焗薯ok ah..焗得不錯呢,奶油,煙肉等基本野啦。菜就無dressing 啦。

由於驚太飽,叫了一個基本沙律,可以自己加醋及 Oliveroil。菜,一般,無咩特別甜唔甜。只為清清腸胃。

整體不過不失,全晚得幾檯客,很適合傾計。而服務員個個都好好態度,真係好難搵喇。

這個價錢超乎我想像……

味道是偏酸的。
甜味不多,表示沒有下太多的糖,感覺會健康一點。
材料豐富,有番茄、椰菜花、蘑菇、西蘭花、小唐菜和紅蘿蔔等。
吃小唐菜的時候,有洋葱的味道。
或許是味有相似吧。
因我已表明不吃葱蒜的。

意粉是偏硬而帶嚼勁的那一種。
不是綿軟的口感。
這煮法應該是比較貼近正宗意大利煮法。

廚師炒得很乾爽。
完全沒有多餘的醬汁。

其餘三位是點套餐,有餐湯、飲品和甜品
我的是單點,沒有套餐選擇。
不過,店主後來也給我免費的飲品和甜品
餐湯是以牛骨熬煮的,因此不能送給我。
(其實,即使不是吃素,也有很多人不吃牛,以牛骨煮湯是否不太好?)

另外,無論是點套餐與否,也會有一籃麵包。

不過,這個是有薑汁味的。
而且打了不少空氣進去,口感便很輕軟。
也有吃到小泡泡的口感。
甜度適中。

到餐廳慶祝結婚紀念。看完評價後,本來都有點猶豫。但吃過後,卻真不後悔。待應服務態度專業,友善。經㕑師介紹後,頭盤點了鵝肝。鵝肝外脆,火候適中。之後便是蟹肉磨菇湯和田螺。湯是很有驚喜的。蟹肉份量和味道恰到好處。田螺就不過不失。吃完頭盤後便是期待已久的主菜,800g 的Chicago Prime Tomahawk。點的時候還真有點兒覺得價錢略昂貴($160-100g),但吃過後真心覺得物有所值。不同的位置,有不同的口感。肉質鮮嫩,很有牛肉味,不用配任何的調味品。伴碟看似簡單,但原來伴菜是從荷蘭空運到港,非常新鮮可口。不可不提的是那個美國空運 bake potato,配上sour cream ,bacon and onion,真真十分好味。總括而已,此餐廳是以食物質數為主的餐廳,並沒有什麼很fancy 的配件,但如果很注重食物質數的食客,真應來一試!

之前在附近工作,偶然一試這間舊式扒房,覺得很不錯,所以星期六又來吃午餐,12點左右到達餐廳,人不多,有點包場的感覺。餐廳裝潢懷舊,燈光暗黃,用上紅白格子餐布,桌上還放著鮮花,頗有格調。選了兩個set lunch:Grilled augus sirloin steak 和龍脷柳配薯蓉。先上一盤面包和餐湯,面包盤份量不少,分別有軟身和硬身的面包,配上是日餐湯蔬菜湯,味道不差,只是比較上一次的洋蔥湯,洋蔥湯更出色。Grilled augus sirloin steak安格斯牛扒,叫了7成熟,但肉一點也不老,還是很juicy,雖然這款沒有跟source,但肉味濃郁,只加Salt去煙燻已經很美味,根本不需要加任何source。伴菜的薯仔和紅蘿蔔也好吃。龍脷柳配薯蓉﹐龍脷柳味道普通,反而薯蓉不錯,很好味。隨餐附餐茶和甜品。是日甜品是香蕉蛋糕,味道不差。

呢間野食完真係無得唔寫食評.我只可以講lunchset係呢個價位<講緊170蚊再加一>一個人嘅消費. 食物質量唔應該係咁. 我同幾個同事唸住lunch黎食, 環境好classic古典英倫風,紅白格子枱布. 160蚊牛扒set無sauce. 要170果隻先有.我叫左mushroom sauce. medium rare. 塊扒上到黎我真係O嘴. 薄到我唸都係厚過麥當勞豬柳少少. 真係離曬譜. 可想而知,薄到咁嘅扒我嘅mediumrare無令我失望地變咗welldone.我覺得170+17嘅lunch貴都唔緊要. 但起碼應該要有反咁上下, 而唔係俾人攞黎同大家樂比較. 仲要等張bill等咁耐.好老實,一個好唔愉快嘅lunch經歷.

朱古力梳乎利好味,廚房很細心的把份量分開兩小碗去焗,方便我們分享。

其實這晚餐味道是不錯的,但以這份量誠意配菜來說,我寧願光顧Grand Hyatt。我支持老店要持續落去,所以我們專程光顧,定價高一點無可厚非,可是食物出品要跟價格成正比才能叫客人再度幫襯啊!

侍應奇怪的推介原因是什麼呢?是買了很多大蜆要推銷嗎?還是餐牌上沒有大蜆可以自由定價推高帳單呢?不得而知了!

我們以為只吃四款食品會不夠飽,豈料吃罷連甜品都吃不下了。整體而言,我們都滿意這頓晚餐,食物的確好,服務殷勤,不過價錢偏貴,幸好本月正有八折優惠以慶祝四十週年,值得把握機會一試。

It is the restaurant where my family celebrated my mom’s 50th birthday. As we walked up the stairs, the place was so quiet that we could hear the noise of breathing. The decoration of it was like the old fashion style Chinese Steakhouse with much dimmed light and red and white checkered tablecloths. The hygiene was okay as far as I observed. Moreover, the food brought to us was in perfect timing with right angle facing to us. For the taste of the soup like “red soup” and crab soup was rich and flavourable while for the breads were soft and crispy. When we all finished the appetizers, the main course we ordered like Grilled Angus Steak, sirloin steak was juicy with no sauce. The sauce like hollandaise sauce added were according to the preference of us which was aiming to suit everyone tastes. After the main course, it is the dessert time which contains cream cake which is not too sweet and just right. What’s more is that this restaurant provides a free Volcano cake to celebrate my mom’s birthday which surprises me much. My mother was thrilled and this was a wonderful day for my mother

Went to Louis steak house last night with a friend after visiting the book fair

The place is very old school, red and white checker table cloths, candle etc.

Didn't expect is to be so expensive though, so we had high hopes.

We ordered two mushroom soups, a SeaSalt salad and of course a Tomahak US Prime steak. The steak is charged by the ounce 


We didn't take photos of the salad and soup, it was a little above average. The claimed the ceasar salad was a signature dish. Can't remember exactly how much it was, but is was roughly $90. It's basically a salad mixed in a cheese bowl with a nice mustard ceasar dressing. If you ask me, I think it's a little overpriced for you get.

The Tomahawk steak however must be the spotlight of the evening. Cooked to perfection and served in front of you. Haven't had such a nice slab of meet after returning from the UK. Just take a look at the photo and you can tell.

The bill ended up like $1800 for 2 person.

I think what's makes this place good value for money is the friendliness of the staff and the smile you always see on their face. The boss is also there having nice warm chats with the customers. 


On a side note, they serve fresh oysters and scampi. We weren't really craving for raw food that evening though but maybe we will try next time when we visit.

Also, every little fine details justifies the priciness of the place. Customers have access to fresh sea salt and pepper for their own seasoning.

昨天是我的last day,男朋友來接我,兩大袋東西搬返屋企。就在附近慶祝一下~其實因為就在公司附近,LUNCH也有時會來,其實說不上高水準,亦不便宜,但求又近又不用等位。第一次晚飯時間來,八點多吧!只有五枱左右。安排了卡位,很有情調。但因為靜,以及卡位椅背不是密封,隔離枱兩位說話都聽得很清楚⋯⋯說到吃的,男友說一定要試花膠,$550起,100g。磅了$650一件。其實是很中式的感覺,上菜時是用砂鍋的 (笑),在西餐廳吃也是第一次。值不值真的見人見智,花膠是很厚身的,最厚部分應該有1cm,一般不容易吃到,而且炆得很好,軟身得來有彈性,而且汁的濃度很合適。讚 走的時候我才發現,門口牌已經在推花膠~另外,頭盤還點了牛尾湯及生蠔~ 牛尾湯我很喜歡,湯濃濃有點蔬菜蓉。生蠔就可以啦,掛住食都忘了是什麼蠔,好像是法國的⋯⋯ 落單時推介的,但我覺得不夠新鮮,其中有部分有輕微鯹味到主主菜,是肉眼扒,medium rare,完全沒有太硬和有咬不開的筋的問題,面層又煎得香香的。很不錯總括,價錢貴,但我就是喜歡這種老香港味道~ 一試無妨~而且埋單時,他們說由當天開始食品八折慶祝40週年!就去支持一下吧~

As we walked up the stairs, we thought that they weren't too busy because of how quiet it was. However, once we got in, we realized how packed it was. Everyone was just really quiet in there. Haha. 
 I know this place has been around for quite a long time, and it was like a old fashion style Chinese steakhouse with the dimmed lighting and red/white checkered tableclothes that reminded me of picnics. As for hygiene, it didn't seem to be a concern in any way.

Service:
The staff were all very polite. They were really particular about the setting and presentation of the dishes on the table to my surprise. When they placed my steak down, it had to be put at a certain angle, and when I moved it, they moved it back. How hilarious! Also, I have never experienced such quick service in my life. Literally a second after we ordered, our soup was already on the table! 
 I liked that we didn't need to ask for anything. Everything was brought out to us with perfect timing. 


Taste & Value:
It was hard to make out the hand-writing on the menu, but we figured it out. 
 Both my cousin and I had the Grilled Angus Steak ($140) that came with soup, bread, dessert and coffee/tea. The soup was the classic Borscht "red soup" served at Chinese western restaurants. I was happy with the taste of the soup, as it was rich and flavourful.
A lot of times, I find this soup to be watered down and tasteless. Also, dipping the soft bread into it was a pleasure. I personally liked the bread on the left more, but my cousin liked the toasted bread crackers on the right more.

When we almost finished the soup, our steaks came out. The server asked us if we wanted some hot mustard on the side and we both said yes.The steak came with some potatoes, carrots and corn.  I thought the portion was decent. Although there was no sauce, the steak was very good. We both had our steaks cooked medium well, but still the steak was juicy and not tough. I guess salt is all you need and a well seasoned piece of beef needs no sauce to be good.

After devouring our steak, we had the daily dessert, which was a coconut meringue pie with a cup of coffee. I thought the pie was soso, as it didn't have much taste, especially the meringue. To me, the crust is always the best part of a pie so I enjoyed the bottom of the pie more, where there was also custard spread over.

Final Verdict:
I thought $150 was a bit expensive for lunch. I don't think the food was worth that price, but at the same time, the service and environment made up for it.
