七月下旬‧晴星期日是家庭日,當然要找個好地方跟家人吃brunch。這裡的半自助brunch非常不錯,意大利氣酒及果汁任飲,還有咖啡或茶也只是每人$498,恒生、匯豐及渣打咭都有八折。地方舒適更有個小朋友天地的kids corner,比那些天台燒烤lunch真的好上一萬倍。食物水準很不錯,甜品中的拿破崙更是超水準,鬆化又香味十足,令人回味。

Spaghetti Cavalier Cocco with Boston lobster and cherry tomatoes $398: 7分, 另一客pasta是Min姐的選擇, 就是廚師帽系列的龍蝦意粉. 用上了Spaghetti Cavalier Cocco, 質感彈牙, 比起Gnocchetti是出色得多, 每條spaghetti吸收了個汁, 是幾惹味的. 龍蝦肉份量不太多, 有點點實, 火候控制是出了點問題. 配上的番茄就是幾鮮甜的. 作為店子的招牌菜, 其實我是有更高的期望.

Roasted suckling pig on assorted beans and pulses $338: 5分, 乳豬是店子的另一項廚師帽推介, 但主菜的份量, 一客要$930, 不便宜, 總管就提議大家選擇前菜份量的乳豬, 其實製作方法是相近似, 但價位就相差一大截. 怎知道這個前菜版本真是幾迷你的, 只有小小的一件豬. 豬皮不太脆, 肥肉部份不少, 還好的是瘦肉部份肉質還算嫩滑, 但就有一陣奇怪的香草味. 而底下的豆其實跟件豬好像不太匹配. 這客招牌, 說真的, 認真平平無奇.

Pizza with tomatoes, mozzarella, porcini mushrooms, Parma ham and rucola $228: 6分, 到了薄餅, 繼續是廚師帽的選擇, 薄餅皮夠薄身, 幾香脆的, 但就嫌芝士香不夠突出. 配料方面, 主角是巴馬火腿, 肉質一般, 吃了兩口也是有渣, 也嫌肉味不夠濃郁. 而配上面頭的火箭菜同吃, 是幾清爽的, 跟薄餅同吃是不俗的, 減低了那份油彌的感覺.

Pineapple cooked at low temperature and caramelized with dark rum, lime and wasabi sherbet and coconut tuille $108: 6分, 主菜的部份未算太滿意, 但怎也要繼續吃甜的, 就一口氣選擇了五款甜品, 也叫做掃了大半個甜品餐牌. 五款甜品一次過上檯, 當中兩款更是附上生日牌, 實是相當高興的, 又要拍食物相, 又要拍吹蠟燭相, 又要拍大合照, 一時間相當忙碌. 先試的是低溫煮菠蘿, 還算清甜, 但冧酒味不太突出. 中間的雪葩是青檸加上wasabi, 其實都是青檸味道為主, 不太吃得到wasabi的味道. 而那塊椰子tuille不夠脆, 跟菠蘿也不太配合到.

Soft centered dark chocolate cake with saffron ice cream $118: 7分, 跟著試的就是軟心黑朱古力蛋糕, 流心度一般, 朱古力味道就是幾濃烈的, 蛋糕質感還算鬆軟的. 至於番紅花雪糕, 坦白講, 不太像番紅花的味道, 吃來吃去也像雲尼拿雪糕, 我不說來, 總管, Min姐及文迪還以為是雲尼拿雪糕呢, 似乎番紅花的味道不夠突出.

Warm apple tart with cinnamon and almond cream salted caramel and vanilla sauce $98: 5分, 至於蘋果撻, 熱度只算微溫, 皮還脆的, 不過蘋果實在幾酸, 不夠清甜. 肉桂味道還算帶到出來, 再配上焦糖及雲尼拿醬同吃, 味道還算豐富的. 但蘋果的水準委實影響了這客甜品的水準.

Mistral style tiramisu $98: 6分, 我的生日甜品就是tiramisu, 叫作Mistral style, 跟平日吃開的有點不同. 面頭放上了兩粒馬加朗, 但質感是幾淋的. 底下的tiramisu是濕潤的版本, 不過是日吃到的是幾水汪汪的, 芝士香不夠濃烈, 咖啡酒香就還算突出.

The famed Mistral chocolate cake $98: 6分, Min姐的生日甜品就是朱古力蛋糕, 其實只是相當普通的一件蛋糕, 朱古力味道不算太濃烈, 蛋糕質感有點實, 加上沒有甚麼層次感, 是有點寡的.

整體食物未算太令人滿意, 特別是我們一口氣試了不少廚師帽菜色, 但水準還是麻麻. 服務方面, 店員態度友善, 也好好的幫助我們去作慶祝的安排. 價位方面, 其實正價是不太便宜, 在總管有折的情況下, 還是要$370一位. 在此要再一次謝過總管請吃甜品, 能夠跟Min姐一同慶祝, 真是我的榮幸呢.

Last night, my husband and I had the 4-course set dinner at Mistral. Since they never change the menu for the whole year, I would not be interested if not because of the many good previous reviews.

The dinner started with bread which was warm and good. Then came the cheese with speck ham which was good. However, the following courses were very disappointing! The second course of tagliolini with lobster was well below average. If the menu did not say it was lobster, I could not tell there was lobster. There were only a few (maybe 3) very tiny dices of lobster flesh which were very dry and rough and had no lobster taste. The tagliolini was a bit too soft and not tasty.

The third course was cod fish for me and beef cheek for my husband. The cod fish had its natural smooth texture but not much taste. The baby cuttlefish was too salty. The beef cheek, while quite tasty, did not have the black truffle taste at all. I did not realize that the beef cheek was cooked with black truffle until I checked the menu today. What a failure! The beef cheek has been cooked so long that the whole thing was completely broken up easily.

Finally, the panna cotta was also disappointing. It was just ordinary.

I am most unhappy about the size of the second and third courses. They were of the size for a 10-course degustation menu! But it was only a 4-course dinner! If we did not have the bread and ask for more bread, we would be starving.

Given the tiny size and the ordinary dishes, the dinner at Mistral does not worth its price (which is not high in absolute term). Even though Pierre, Amber, Petrus, and Caprice (Caprice is not good now after getting the Michelin 3 star) etc. charge more than double the amount for their degustation menu, I would rather take my dinner in these restaurants which serve far better foods.

What’s more, Mistral does not provide good service. Even though my husband had finished his water for a long time, they did not refill water. When we told them to refill water, the waiter simply took away the glass and did not come back!

這部紅紅的機器甚為搶眼,後端裝上一塊粉紅磚狀的豬肉,應該是火腿才對,這是 Speck Ham。當日嚐到的 Speck Ham 比 Parma Ham 的香更濃,細查之下,得知 Speck Ham 在醃製前會先去掉骨頭,用香料醃製成熟後再進行煙燻,或許就是煙燻的工序令 Speck Ham 香氣更盛。

每次侍應都只會切出數片,待客人消化得七七八八後再推動機器,服務用心體貼。

吃 Antipesti 吃得滿心歡喜,幾乎忘記了主菜,幸得經理的温馨提示。Restaurant Week Menu 有兩款主菜供選擇,剛好每樣來一份。

先來的是 Poccheri Tossed with Cured Pork Cheek, Tomato Source and Pecorino Cheese。Poccheri 是那個特大通心圓圈意大利麵,質感煙韌,厚薄適中,絕對好吃極了,是我最愛的口感。茄醬味道恰如其顏色般温純,溶和了芝士後,稀稠度剛好讓意大利麵牢牢的承托著,每口麵也平均嚐到茄醬的香純。鹽醃的豬面脥肉切成了小丁,上端是脂肪、下端是瘦肉,頗有中式豬腩肉的感覺。瘦肉柔軟嫩滑,彈性十足、不會過鹹;而脂肪剛好給予麵條恰當的滋潤。

隨後的是 Roasted Snapper Fillet with Braised Fennel Tomato Confit, Black Olives and Sicilian Capers。這道主菜食味幼細富個性,可能用上黑橄欖、油浸蕃茄、酸豆等配料作調味所致。調味均勻地滲進了 Snapper 彈性兼結實的肉質內,一口豐厚的魚肉,咀嚼到一口多層次的味美。若魚皮可再焗得香口一點,效果便完美無瑕了。

最後是甜品時間。Mistral 甜品系例也相當的精緻,看得我也動心,肚飽還是要來一點。

選了 Mistral 的 Signature Chocolate Cake,Chocolate Grissini 加上一點酸甜的士多啤梨,與我的 Latte 應是相當的合拍。

Signature Chocolate Cake 是用純朱古力製造,最初吃時還是覺得有點甜,但愈吃愈喜歡其質感與味道,也不再覺甜了,味道反而相當的討好。

Chocolate Grissini 黏上了一些果仁,賣相極為雅緻,果仁更為朱古力棒增添了脆口與香氣。

Mistral 的服務相當的妥貼,加上室內裝修陳設像家一樣的舒暢,Mistral 為 Restaurant Week 打響了明亮的第一炮,不過一星期的時間確實有點兒倉卒,若是 Restaurant MONTH 會多好呢!

Other Info. : Mistral 有售整個的 Signature Chocolate Cake,喜歡的話可買回家慢慢品嚐。 平日 Set Lunch 的主菜有 4個選擇,正價是 HK$258,Mistral 會是一個優質慢嘆的好選擇。

總結: 下次我會為了龍蝦寛條麵再回去.

環境: 雖然好暗, 但頗嘈, 想傾計可以, 想好靜好靜坐下就差一點

Whole Sea Bass $448 原條海鱸魚用烤爐半蒸煮咁整熟後由女部長在客人面前拆骨起柳, 再淋上用烤鱸魚剩下的魚汁推成一個稀汁, 太座評語: 同蒸熟差不多口感但整條魚起出來嘅魚柳都不少的, 當然我也要幫手啦, 唔會覺難食但沒什麼驚喜, 雖說是起了骨但那是大骨,細的軟骨之類還是有的, 各位食友如果要叫這魚的話最好留意一下自己是否擅長於食魚骨了,太座最後加了句:Seabass呢次都應該是最後一次叫了!

Hare Leg $398 見話這個二月份有入口野味食, 咁咪試下囉, 野兔脾肉去骨捲入香草, 應該係用紅酒浸咗一,兩晚拿去煎封, 再輕輕煮一下, 搞埋個汁出場, 比較西式嘅農家菜, 不過野兔並沒有太重野味嘅味道, 肉質介乎雞肉同豬肉之間, 個汁同肉內都充滿香草, 頂唔順香草嘅人客會暗暗叫苦, 始終這樣煮會有少少”炆”嘅感覺, 唔似平時食開那些香口嘅西洋嘢, 特別在的只是材料本身,
Soft Dark Chocolate with Saffron Icecream $118 呢個甜品待應叫它”心太軟”但來到的是一舊巧克力蛋糕伴藏紅花味雪糕, 或者待應誤解了餐牌啦, 因為餐牌都係寫soft 唔係 melted, 雪糕嘅藏紅花味只係好微, 個蛋糕新鮮整出嚟唔會太差嘅,只係如果要比較的話”Nobu”那個會是物有所值咁囉, 平時寫嘢好少將兩間食肆去比較但有時也有例外的,這裡的整個甜品稍稍偏甜,感覺麻麻地,
Coffee $55 話係illy coffee但唔知點解,杯啡攞到埋嚟,個面嗰層Crema 唔係簿係”無”囉, 只有少量嘅泡浮於面,一般新鮮壓搾出來嘅咖啡都會有啦, 呢杯似蒸餾咖啡樣囉, 雖然個味係壓搾出來嘅咖啡, 但真的唔似樣囉

檸檬茶$55 太座無評語即係無問題啦
跟茶一齊上的Petit four都係十年如一日無變,怕甜的還是覺得過甜,
整體食物質素唔係差只係沒有想像中的令人為之一震的印象,
下次再來晚餐的話可能又是另一個十年後了,

是日為自己點了熱水,侍者加水很密,服務值得稱許;坐下不久,又主動送來四大條grissini,令人馬上忍不住放進口:口感鬆化,配上特色三色醬享用,味道挺不錯,當然還是更期待Grissinigrissini。不夠滿足,還想吃其他麵包的話,就在外面的counter亦可以拿。

這裡一道菜午餐收費$218,兩道菜與三道菜則分別為$248及$258,其中頭盤與甜品都是自助形式,沒可能不點三道菜吧! 外面的appetizer buffet分為沙律部、意式頭盤,以及最吸引的火腿+蜜瓜檯三部分,我在拎食時還見到鄧梓峰,感覺超驚喜;然而頭盤選擇雖多,質素則沒有太特別,最期待的巴馬火腿配蜜瓜只是剛好達標,蕃茄水牛芝士及煙三文魚簡直就是不好吃,較好的有阿支竹、蕃茄乾、大菇、南瓜沙律、蛋批,但好吃的程度也未夠令人回頭。結束頭盤環節之前,還順手試了四款芝士,當中只得帶霉菌的軟芝士較好。雖然質素未如預期中高,不過很久都沒盡情大吃意式頭盤,感覺還是幾滿足的。

考慮餐廳主打南意菜式,來到五選一的主菜環節,就選了有南意風味的海鱸魚及pizza各一,一起分享。兩款主菜同時上檯,二人決定先嚐
Pan-fried fillet of Sea Bass with mashed potatoes, asparagus and balsamic,入口仍然熱暖的海鱸魚,吃得出十分新鮮,皮帶脆而肉質細膩富彈性,然而調味不是特別高明,其鮮味未有充分彰顯發揮。反而墊底的薯蓉超香又滑,配上微脆爽口的露筍,想不到是更加美味動人!

薄餅也是這裡的強項,而原來pizza的配料是可以自選的,侍者很醒目,一見我們皺起眉頭,就主動建議不想選的話也可以全部都點,成為雜錦薄餅,又好。大大個的薄餅上檯,最基本的配料還是蕃茄與芝士,另加少量其他配料;由於焗得很薄身,要原個吃掉原來也是做得到的事。在一眾雜錦的配料中,老公接受不來橄欖粒及鯷魚,要挑出來吃;我則全部受之如貽,覺得有著濃濃意式風味,幾好吃的,不過如再多點橄欖油香,相信會更妙。

吃畢主菜,又到超興奮的甜品環節啦! 見到老公呆滯的眼神,我知道這次又是要靠自己了.. 其實甜品的選擇度適中,要全部試勻也不是難事,是日也做到了;前方的blueberry pistachio cake微甜濕潤,dark chocolate cake有頗濃朱古力味,fruit tart就清新帶吉士甜香,幾款中較值推介;朱古力脆筒與泡芙都已放稔了,Strawberry mille feuille也是敗於不夠脆;帶果酸味的creme brulee令人意想不到,然而質感香滑也算不錯,strawberry mousse則持續不吸引。第一輪的試食結果,最美吃是杯裝的Tiramisu,香甜軟滑、質感對辦!

也沒忘掉一些漏網之魚,其中簡簡單單的cream cake幾清新討喜,水果就只是一般,部分果粒如火龍果已不太新鮮了;又好奇在三色朱古力grissini中,選了牛奶那款來試,其實就只是一條普通朱古力。吃了多款甜品,令喜歡還是Tiramisu,但又未見外面re-fill這一款,老公就向侍者查問,結果他又為二人送上兩杯,令人很開心! 不過這兩杯結果大半都是落我肚,實在很飽呢..

然而這頓飯還未結束的,因為最後每人還有一杯咖啡或茶。我選了caffe latte,風味不錯;老公則揀了cappuccino,必須承認其質素更加出色。另外這裡的厚瓷咖啡杯實在很精美可人,縱然當時已經不太飲得下,但在怡人環境中,手握這樣一杯精美風味咖啡,也是一件賞心樂事。

渣打白金卡有八折,AE卡也有85折,今餐折後只需$470,也是物有所值的。而離開時經過Only Buonasera,與老公都同意只講食的話,OB的午餐其實更為美味;然而The Mistral的環境太迷人,服務又很到位,整體經歷有如去完一次旅行,也是一次很愉快的經歷! 然而飽餐後又要再去覆診,暫時兩口子最大的心願還是身體健康!

姐姐知我愛吃朱古力蛋糕, 特地在我生日時訂了這個神級的朱古力蛋糕。真的不是小兒科, 她完全是我杯茶, 對正我口味!朱古力蛋糕 --> 質地厚實似brownie, 蛋糕身油濕的有黏力, 平心而論味道是很甜的, 但我認為做到這種質感這種份量不配上這份甜度反而失色, 這顯出師傅的信心和率直; 再者我的口味偏甜, 這個蛋糕完全是我的至愛 <3
