今天來到新大壽吃午飯,來到新大壽,當然要吃鎮店之寶,板壓鯖魚壽司。夾起壽司,沒有一點鬆散,一口吃下,醋的甜酸味道悠然而至,醇厚而不嗆喉,飯粒飽滿有致,縱然是板壓壽司,吃起來也相當鬆軟而不死實,十分神奇。鯖魚魚肉新鮮厚嫩,用醋浸泡以後,更能帶出鯖魚隱約帶甘的清鮮味。面層的昆布除了更突濕鯖魚的鮮味,亦為整體腍軟的壽司加點嚼勁,增添一份層次感。這道板壓鯖魚壽司吃起來十分開胃,令人食慾大增,雖然夏天並非鯖衣最肥美的季節,不過倒是很適合在這熱得令人倒胃口食用的壽司,我本身並不好酸,但吃到這壽司也食慾大增,一試愛上,要不是太奢侈,我是很樂意多點一客的。相信愛吃酸的女士們,絕對會一試愛上的。不過份執著的「不時不吃」的你,在沒有胃口時,實在值得一試的。今天不太想吃壽司刺身,加上來到新大壽,更想吃些家常料理。因此點了一客豚肉生薑燒定食。過了一會,豚肉生薑燒以一托盤送上來了。一碟豚肉生薑燒,三分一放上椰菜絲,白飯及味噌湯各一碗,很有日本家常的味道。先試點豚肉生薑燒,豚肉用上豚肉薄片,炒得不老,火喉剛好,洋蔥也夠多,這點對於愛吃生薑燒的人來說應該是一大要點呢!值得一讚的是生薑燒的汁不會過甜,一般坊間的生薑燒

原來午市定食還有一杯餐茶,要了一杯熱奶茶,茶與奶分上給客人,足夠細心。而且紅茶用上英式早餐茶,味道芳香,想不到吃過這定食後還能喝到杯早餐茶,確實頗有驚喜。

新大壽是一間老店了,因此裝修頗有點懷舊的感覺,不過店面還算窗明几淨的,相信小昆蟲的事純屬意外來的,環境倒也寬敞,坐得舒適。侍應服務,單說店內的招呼,算是很到位了,加茶添水也很勤快,態度有禮。食物方面,單是板壓鯖魚壽司的味道已叫人感動,足以令我再次光臨。

想食餐好o既為太太提升正能力,於是搵咗呢間食評唔錯o既日本老店。冇乜裝潢,但招呼幾親切。太太叫咗個海膽魚生飯套餐、我就叫咗個日式便當。便當先到,睇落幾豐富~~醬汁茄子,唔咸又入味,唔錯。魚生:三文魚冇乜特別,唔算肥美。另一種不知名o既魚生就比較煙韌,好味啲。沙律,醬太多味較濃,食少少還可以。金菇肥牛有啲驚喜,肉味濃郁,金菇亦爽口。銀雪魚夠肥夠滑,冇特別但味道合格有餘。太太話以香港水準嚟講,啲海膽算好食。我要求比較低,响香港食到唔苦已經俾合格,呢度可以俾80分魚生飯o既三文魚味道、質地好啲,整體新鮮好味。餐飲配咖啡有啲怪,咖啡偏淡,味道一般。午餐價錢只係別府咁o既級數,如果以此為標準,咁味道就值一個笑笑臉喇!

午餐價錢只係別府咁o既級數,如果以此為標準,咁味道就值一個笑笑臉喇!

The worst dinner ever had for months.It was a family gathering and we had a big party of 16. We sat down at 7:15pm and ordered right away. For the first hour, we were chatting and the slow serving food did not bother us much. But as time past, we realized something was wrong with the food. Not the taste and the serving time. We ordered 4 燒鯖魚, but only one dish served, the other one was served to the next table. We ordered 3 豆腐, but onle one served. We ordered 4 天婦羅and each of these came one after another with an interval of over 30 minutes.
the waiter and waitress kept apologing and explained that there were too many customers, but the restaurant was hardly half filled.
we kept pushing for a checking on the orders and our last dish was served by 9:15pm. We joked that we have the finest Japanese dining ever.







if you want to have a place to chat rather than eat, this must be a restaurant that would suit you. otherwise, it is not advisable at all.

雜錦魚生飯
: 三文魚素質自然遠不及刺身的,但都不錯的,鱆紅魚很新鮮,三文魚子則一般,鮮蝦就很鮮甜,很好味~

自製餃子, 味千既同佢比起來簡直一個天一個地, 餃子裡面有很多汁水, 蘸料的味道亦好,

最推薦一定要食既係鯖魚板壓壽司.鯖魚其實係醃制過的, 但係呢個味道真係太美味太美味了.完全超越了一般壽司的概念.

走的時候一個老伯係電梯旁幫我地按鈴, 不停鞠躬講謝謝之類既話, 睇真D原來係老細。

I went there last night with my girlfriend. We booked a table beforehand so there was no waiting time.

We sat down and looked through the menu, and decided to eat sushi first. So we ordered the large sushi platter and the mackerel box sushi (醃鯖魚板壓壽司). I also ordered a bottle of Kirin beer.

The sushi in the sushi platter were very nice, the rice are firm outside but soft and a little chewy inside. The fish is not cold, but not warm enough to have that "starting-to-rot" feeling. The fish have lots of flavour packed and you know it's good when you can actually taste the differences between different kinds of fish distinctively (ie they dun just have a "fish" taste to it). Wasabi has already been put inside each piece of sushi and they work magic with the flavour. The presentation looks nice too.

The mackerel box sushi (醃鯖魚板壓壽司) was my highlight of the night. I love mackerel sushi and I order mackerel sushi everytime I eat out. These little babies taste so good; it might be a bit sour for some people though (as the vinegar tastes quite strong). But I like eating things marinated in vinegar so this is actually quite an enjoyable experience for me haha. The rice are cooked really nicely too, not gooey nor will they disintegrate on contact.

After eating all these sushi, my girlfriend was full, but I still wanted more food so we ordered something so I can keep drinking beer (hahaha!). We ordered the deep fried chicken bones, meat skewer (串燒牛肉) and grilled Shishamo (多春魚), along with another bottle of Kirin.
These tastes great too!

The staff are fast and efficient, and attentive.

We will definitely come back again, there are still many things I still haven't tried like their tempura and their noodles!

- 反而串燒牛肉烤得有點過火,所以肉質比較硬

- 串燒帶子比串燒牛肉做得好,不失帶子之鮮味

(5)鰻魚豆腐煮
- 第一次食鰻魚配豆腐的菜式,估不到係一個唔錯的配合

(6)燒茄子
- 個醬汁不知用什麼來做的,出奇地好好味呀

(7)燒曰本松茸
- 松茸以燒的方法來煮也是第一次嘗試,非常香濃可口

(8)醃鯖魚板壓壽司
期待已久醃鯖魚板壓壽司,最後才出場!
酸酸甜甜的鯖魚,果然好味,別的壽司店是不能吃到的
