兩塊薄身豬扒沾上薄漿同炸,炸得金黃色的,撒上芝士粉作點綴後,再放一少撮沙律菜和一小碟茄醬,即大功告成也﹗豬扒炸得不太油膩,咬下外香脆而內鮮嫩多汁,煞是美味。不過,部份豬扒的邊位明顯炸過火了,有點乾硬之感,宜多加留意火喉的拿捏。小妹吃時,只伴上鮮爽沙律菜同吃,並沒有加上茄醬。

一間好味既西餐除左有美食之外, 其實環境都幾緊要, 重落西營盤站既PICCOLO 分店, 離地鐵站不遠, 雖然係細細間半開放式既BAR, 即是門口有高枱, 但入面仲有幾張木既長枱. 裝修比較簡潔優雅, 多用像家裏才有既裝飾佈置.感覺舒服食物方面, 有PAMA HAM, PIZZA , 意粉, 我個人好喜歡佢既免治牛肉蕃茄意粉, 睇落去紅色一團好似好油, 其實入面有整碎左既菜做中和, 令口感不油利, 而且蕃茄醬不太甜, GOOD另外, 值得推介係佢有吾同味既啤酒, 荔枝, 燈味, 幾得意若下次有機會經過都可以坐低叫杯野飲, 好個小食, 係一個同朋友傾計食野既好選擇

Piccolo in Italian means “small”, and it pretty much describes this lovely and intimate eatery. It’s almost 2-storis high with wooden fixtures packed alongside. Space between tables is limited but really – this is what makes a casual Italian restaurant!

Noticed they’ve just revamped the drink list with 3 virgin drinks and a pretty wide selection of mixers. We settled with 2 non-traditional mixers in the end - Tropical Ale (virgin) and Blue Blue (non-virgin).

Hid under a handful of rocket, Buffalo Mozzarella was wrapped with Parma ham. Seriously, please have a small bite to begin with – feel the sourness of Balsamic Vinaigrette wandering, followed by the creaminess of the mozzarella, and wrap up with the saltiness and genuine texture of Parma ham.

It’s time for Pizza to kiss our stomach. The crust was baked in this red-brick stove with 350’c – 400’c for 3 minutes. So you can easily imagine how crispy the pizza is. That said, the taste of the whole pizza was dominated by, surprisingly, the rocket salad. Adding Tabasco was the solution for us.

Best thing last – favorite Linguine Carbonara! They actually serve Angel Hair and Spaghetti too but we still find Linguine goes best with Carbonara. We loved how the egg and cream were cooked so thick and dense, not to mention the perfectly al Dante pasta texture. None of us showed the gesture of “sharing” – sorry for failing the Italian ethos! 
Good restarants serve good food with good service, great restaurants serve passion and make diners feel like home - Piccolo is definitely one of the greatest restaurants in town! My second home really! 
Other Info. : You shouldn't expect top-notch quality service here, but rather, a family welcoming you back to this lovely place. Food is great. Environment is good. But what's most important for me, is the Italian ethos that Piccolo upholds.

店如歐洲的小酒館,最耀眼是那紅磚砌成的、炭火在紅紅的燒着的圓形大烤爐,薄餅師傅更是star  actor,三兩下、半空飛揚便把麵團拉薄,三兩下併好材,放進炭火旁烤,烤爐這麼熱,年輕的師傅還是氣定神壇不徐不疾手不停手。

第一個來的pizza,是芝士茄醬火腿加rocket leave, 我認為pizza 祇合用這些饀料,我常想尊重食物的意大利人看見pizza上有菠蘿粟米千島醬金菇,會否暴跳如雷?眼前的pizza 芝士泡泡還在跳動,pizza 新鮮得像在呼吸,熱辣辣,芝士在牙齒咀邊糾纏,這才是pizza, 美中不足是炭烤味不濃。

另一個是supreme pizza,有芝士慢煮洋葱菇和辣腸,慢煮的洋葱吃不出有什麼特別,菇不是意式品種,有點失望,腸也不特別,這pizza不supreme,有點失色。

白酒蜆天使麵據說是必吃之選,蜆的確十分鮮甜,湯汁就是天上妙品,天使麵就落得配角也不如。

Carbonara 的汁濃稠有度,每條意粉也coat 滿汁,滋味十足,祇是白酒蜆太美味,被小小比下去。

Ribs太乾,不美味,反而potato wedges 新鮮炸起,又香又脆,十分好吃,沙律也crunchy,配角勝出。

蕃茄雜菜燴雞腿是令這餐飯祇值ok 的原兇,賣相已令人沮喪,一隻煮太久的雞腿,配沒蕃茄的茄紅色汁,零零落落一段西芹幾粒籮卜,如碟子有一勺飯,那就是不折不扣一碟水準十分一般的茶餐廳碟頭飯,但這份雞是$150,最要命不單是入口味如嚼爉,更是雞凍汁凍,即使配角沫了olive oil 的脆法包很出色,也難忍心頭氣,ribs $198,細份、貴、不好吃、更是涷。

老板賠了不是,送兩份dessert,精美,但我不好甜,也早掃興了。

飯後走着從前熟悉的路,從前都消失了,滿街是cafes 、bistros 和 fine dining restaurants,是陌生的國度。

人間何世。

哦!意大利菜!想當年大學畢業旅行,其實只係幾年前,去左歐洲打個轉,第一站就係意大利羅馬,的確係一個好正既地方,可惜係我當年係窮遊,無乜點食過啲地道菜。不過印象中既PIZZA係好過咩比薩小屋好多。

一坐底,個虎烏楊就幢左個牌係我同女皇前面,當堂嚇一跳!做咩唧你。原來係想話我知TODAY SPECIAL,張張枱既客都無一幸免。我最唔中意煩,女皇又唔話事,咁我問一問虎烏楊有咩撚手,就話AFFETTATI正、PIZZA MEAT LOVER新、PANZANELLA SALAD清。就咁啦!

之後黎個AFFETTATI。佢有4隻唔同既肉,本將軍只係粗人一個,咁專業既名佢講一次我梗係唔記得啦。由要淺色嗰塊開始,順時針咁食,虎烏楊話係因為口味應該由淺到重咁食。淺色嗰塊係有開心果肉。之後嗰塊係最常食吧。然後係28年既,唔太咸,比一般既HAM清。最後係面豬登肉,真心,之嗰啲同E塊真係唔同層次。嫰、滑、有肉味,不言而喻,我都食得出係好野。

最後PIZZA MEAT LOVER,係薄PIZZA。其實唔使試都知係正野,你睇個爐,你睇個SIFU我食咁耐佢燒咁耐,邊有得輸。佢個BBQ SAUCE係佢既靈魂,令到個餅好JUICY。個虎烏楊話黎左D新BEER,ALOHA!DRY飲就點都係藍妹係王道,但係有D荔枝味,食住PIZZA飲都OK。JOLLY SANDY咁。

點知女皇話飽到HIHI,叫我食埋佢。搵笨。我諗啲野叫多個人黎食都仲得。

最後仲要黎個TIRMISU,問咩呀,你夠膽問女皇頭先點解話飽,宜家又要叫多個,將軍3思呀,女人有2個胃是常識吧。我直腸直肚,好食就係好食,唔好食就算女皇迫我我都係唔食,女皇係知架。個TIRMISU係好食既,淡淡既酒味,濃得黎味道均暈,又唔太甜。本將軍係好少食甜品。哈哈。

真心係幾好食,價錢都可以,但係老老豆豆真係有啲遠,開左港鐡都係咁話。有機會經過先再覆桌啦!

自從堅尼地城通車後,實在是我們這些愛好四出搵食的食家之福,畢竟電車真的太慢,坐地鐵真快很多呀!這款意式沙律不像其他餐廳的濃烈,反而很稔身,三色椒均是先煮過再上碟,配以處理過的青瓜,而且加上意大利黑醋,雖然沒有加芝士,反而易於消化也很醒胃很適合我這種腸胃不好之人細意仲紹由粉紅色的HAM順時針吃到最後,其實是很多餐廳都會忽略的重點,次序要是亂了,吃到後面你會覺得很寡,而且一開始吃濃味也會過度刺激舌頭,短暫麻痺味覺有了前3者的點綴,24個月的PARMA HAM有相當的豬肉香,加上最後濃郁豬面頰,就好像在吃新鮮的半熟AGED STEAK,再多的調味也蓋不過本身的鮮味不知道剛剛吃的是不是從這些腿割出來的呢 侍應強調2種醬汁均是自家制的,右邊的蒜片加上微辣的茄醬非常醒胃,拼上魷魚圈對味蕾很有衝擊但也不夠左邊的LEMON MAYONNAISE,LEMON味雖不重,但就令幼滑的MAYONNAISE多了一些層次感,想起也流口水喔喔喔 從夏威夷來的荔枝香啤酒,光是嗅已經很正,已經算是很清淡的啤酒非常適合女性喝啊開放式廚房加上炭焗爐,代表他們對衛生有絕對的信心,看看師傅準備的時候把一家人吸引得特意去看就

點了一份炸calamari,也點了一支big wave ($60)

大少不吃海鮮,也不吃炸物,最不好酒精飲品。偏偏這是我的最愛,他是最寵我的,由得我吃這個喝那個。Calamari是新鮮的,不是冷藏貨色,彈牙,鮮味,魚肉充滿水份,不會一味乾身又難嚼。這麼香口,我懷疑店家用了啤酒發烤了炸粉,否則如何炸出又香又鬆的炸物!不過幸好我的大少在,吃不了太多,因為怕肥,叫他把東西吃光光!其實我還可以繼續吃,不過我知道他不會吃,但我真的很想把他塞肥,正努力找方法中。

Chef cheryl’s tiramisu and Panna cotta ($60)

好不容易又一天,我們都吃飽了,店家的甜品選擇貴精不貴多,但我下不了了主意吃那一個(我明明吃飽了,真想不透為什麼每次吃完正餐都想吃點甜食,安已不)

最後我家貼心的大少,讓我吃了兩款,酒味濃郁的tiramisu,香滑幼細的Panna cotta,都是吃在咀裡,甜在心裡的。大少說我肥死了,再吃,肥到好像有了五個月身紀了,我把tiramisu都吃光了,再說我就會停手了!

吃飽了才不過十點,送大少去乘車後,我走回家洗澡,呵呵,大少真好,堅尼地城也是很好,很方便,地點又近中環上班的大少,這樣真是完美的一天呢!

店員續一的將前菜拿上檯,先來的是炸魷魚圈,炸魷魚圈連同檸檬沙律醬和辣蕃茄醬放在一個精緻小藍子內, 就是這個賣相也很吸引, 魷魚圈是即叫即炸的, 所以拿上檯時還是熱辣辣, 入口煙煙韌韌而非常香口, 再配上一點檸檬沙律醬或辣蕃茄醬, 是一道上佳的佐酒前菜。

主理人誠意推介的沙律,單看外表已知道是大埋頭的, 內容相當豐富, 有青瓜、蕃茄仔、橄欖、火箭菜、麵包粒、生菜等等, 蕃茄仔鮮甜多汁, 青瓜爽口, 新鮮爽脆的生菜配上火箭菜, 跟加入的紅酒醋在味道及口感上都是好拍檔, 是一道開胃的前菜。

店員也送來很豐富的凍肉併盤,可以在7款凍肉中選出4款做成併盤, 選了12個月巴馬火腿、24個月巴馬火腿、莎樂美腸、熟火腿, 伴上一小碟芝士粉連橄欖, 用木板奉上。各款凍肉吃起來味道算是非常好,當中較喜歡鹹香有致的24個月巴馬火腿, 莎樂美腸也越吃越有味,油脂豐香,而12個月巴馬火腿和熟火腿,也好吃。

到了主角上埸, 送來的就是煙三文魚薄餅,薄餅項目是這店的招牌菜當然有一定水準。薄餅底烘得比較乾身而外層微脆,口感較爽脆也有麵粉香味, 這就是用炭爐烤出來的效果, 煙三文魚帶有豐富的鹹香味,味道鮮明也甚好吃的, 實在令人越吃越想吃。

第二個意粉係。BOLOGNESE 有TOMATO SAUCE, 免治牛同咪菜,怠覺清新,比想像中不油,OK!
最後我地點左個米蘭式既PIZZA, 即是同HK 既好吾同, PIZZA比較薄身, 用既料亦吾會好似HK 甘誇張甘多. 我地點左個TODAY SPECIAL 既MORTADELLAwith ROCKET
薄脆既PIZZA皮上面配上芝士火腿, 然後上面放上新鮮既ROCKET 菜, 十分MATCH, 我很喜歡

總括而言, 食物味道, 環境, 我都好滿意, 若下次經過我都會再黎食!

Piccolo Pizzeria & Bar is located at Davis Street, the most westernised area at Kenndy town packed with pubs and restaurants. The street was filled with crowds chatting with a beer on hand. One would expect the same at Piccolo. but it was surprisingly quiet the night we went. The interior is cosy with warm yellow wall with Italian papers and posters adorning the walls. A vintage looking bar with worn suitcases, spinning desk globes and clocks is situated in the middle of the restaurant with ham legs hanging on the rack. The night gets more crowded the latter it goes and generally carries a good vibe.

At the far end of the restaurants lies a closed kitchen with huge window display showcasing their brick oven. Pizza are made to order and cook right in front of customer's eye.

As mentioned, the menu at Kennedy Town is much more extensive than the branch at Tai Hang with lots of snacks and pasta dishes. Beer option is limited but they do carry interesting craft beers so its worth a try!

The Chicken Wings - HKD100 is to be loved. Served Hot, cooked right with crispy crust and paired well with the mayo. It was however a bit pricey, asking for a hundred dollar with only 6 wings.

Rosticciana, baby back ribs marinated in Italian sauce was commendable! It was perfectly cooked, utterly tender with charred crust. The flavour was more impressive, with an interesting flavour that I could not describe. I just really love it.

Finally here comes our pizza! The Pizza Panchetta with Italian Egg - HKD168 was a devilishly appealing and delicious. The soft cooked Italian egg was orangy, ozzy and sweet. The tomotao based bacon pizza was one comfort food you need after a day of work. Just\make sure you had the pizza quick as it cools down pretty quickly.

Last, we had the Chef Cheryl's Tiramisu and Panna Cotta - HKD60 for desserts. They are in good portioned so each of us can have a spoon of each. Between the two, I prefer the pannaa cotta more.

I was not entirely satisfy by the food offering tonight especially their paste dishes. Yet Piccolo's pizza is kept at high standard and indifference from their Tai Hang branch, If you are craving for some pizza and are happen to be around the area, come to grab one here at Piccolo Pizzerie & Pub.

用雞蛋來烤薄餅,倒是第一次嚐試,原來是意大利傳統食法,吃時要將蛋黃弄開,讓蛋汁流入餅皮及附近每一個角落,濕潤乾脆的薄餅大地,令煙韌的部份更為豐盛,除選配意大利雞蛋,也有本地雞蛋的選擇,價錢當然會便宜一些,但意大利雞蛋的話,蛋味是吃得出會更香濃更帶出意式傳統風味。

作為一間以家庭為本的餐廳,溫暖的環境狀態是必要的,所謂溫暖是由外感受到內。簡單到連一杯熱可可也能煮出甜度與質感度皆適中的效果,這是一種愛的表達,沒有求其的表現。
