Hong Kong has so many good restaurants that I am always on the look out for something new, somewhere I haven’t been to before. If I am to go to the same restaurant repeatedly, the food must be incredible AND reasonably priced to reflect the quality and quantity served. Well, been drawn to Pici lately, largely because of this winter weather and Christmas spirit, which just got me craving for good pasta and pretty much anything European/western😂 Their Tagliolini truffle is my favourite for sure!

Their Tagliolini truffle is my favourite for sure! They are so incredibly generous with the truffle shaving, and their handmade tagliolini just has the perfect bouncy al dente texture, topped with just the right amount of cheesy truffle sauce, an amazing combination that both smelled and tasted fantastic!

We also tried their Pappardelle with beef cheeks, which was a hearty dish that was delicious. It cooled pretty quickly (or maybe we ate too slowly😂) which made the pappardelle a bit too al dente towards the end.

I have heard great things about their Lasagna Classic, though I myself was not too big of a fan. It had too much cream between the pasta layers and I would have preferred more beef ragu and more tomato based sauce.

For starters, we had the usual hearty homemade meatball, but this time, with their tuna tartare. I was surprised by how good the quality of the tuna was! It had that sweet umami flavour I love in tuna sashimi/sushi!

My all time favourite pasta spot in Hong Kong to date! For starters, we had their Homemade meatballs and beef tartare. Meatballs and tomato sauce are truly a match made in heaven, such a hearty and comforting dish. I love that their meatballs are relatively lean, might not be as satisfying for some but absolutely perfect for me 😉 As for the beef tartare, I quite liked the addition of sliced mushrooms, cheese crispy and red radish, which added to both the texture and flavour profile of the dish.

As for the beef tartare, I quite liked the addition of sliced mushrooms, cheese crispy and red radish, which added to both the texture and flavour profile of the dish. Personally though I am not that keen on beef tartare as it doesn’t seem to have much flavour on its own🙈

Their Tagliolini Truffle was absolutely phenomenal and my favourite pasta of the evening. It had a beautiful aroma of fresh truffle😍 I loved the cheese shavings which melted into a creamy sauce with a delicious savoury kick, and their handmade pasta, with a chewy bouncy eggy texture, just tied everything together perfectly😋

We also had the Chitarra King Prawn 🦐, al dente squid ink pasta served with two huge king prawns, both with a bouncy texture and a sweet aftertaste. I loved that mild hint of seafood flavour peeping through the tomato-based sauce, which kept me reaching for one mouthful after another😍

Our third choice was the Orecchiette ‘Nduja, the orecchiette had such a fun shape which held on to the sauce really well, it was aso chewier than the tagliolini and chitarra Its cheesy sauce with blobs of Italian sausage was very hearty and satisfying though definitely on the filling side.

今晚出開嚟灣仔,行到去星街嗰邊,搵到呢一間意大利餐廳,個感覺都幾良好。價錢唔可以講大眾化,不過唔算貴嘅意大利餐廳。入到去,樓下剩返啲high tables, 咁就行咗上樓上嗰度坐。可能因為早,我哋入到去唔算多人。環境感覺好外國. 我哋嗌左唔多嘢食,嗌咗一個cold cut, meatballs 同 牛面珠意粉。肉丸個面唔單止已經有芝士,原來喺肉丸裏面都混入左唔少嘅芝士,我唔知道算唔算正宗,不過就比起其他餐廳食嘅meatballs應該比較正宗一啲! 個意粉個牛面珠燈真係好滑好淋,而且再加上個意粉好彈牙,我直頭唔記得咗影相🤣其實坐到咁上下,已經全部坐滿晒。所以我估如果平日冇訂枱,應該都唔係咁易有位坐或者要排隊。離開嘅時候已經有一條小人龍排隊等入座。

漏咗講一到就有一袋包。其實啲包望落去又乾又硬,不過後來吃落原來很香軟,但醋比較酸,我個人不太喜歡。

呢度嘅pasta真係好出色,特別欣賞Girasoli Truffle WC。其貌不揚,貌似一粒大雲吞,入面包住超香濃生蛋。但一切開,濃濃蛋汁流出,混合Truffle一口咬落去,滿口都是濃濃的蛋香和truffle香…好美味呀!

頭盤:麵包 & Chef's Selection Cold Cuts & Baby Kale Salad
麵包係用紙袋裝住,好有特色,法包雖然有啲硬,但點埋個Olive Oil。Parma ham, coppa ham鹹香十足既冷盤,好香口,再加埋個Kale Salad好fresh,配合起嚟可以中和個鹹味,係唔錯的選擇。而雲遊大思係好鐘意Kale架。

Classic Lasagna
經典牛肉千層麵焗得好香,表面有脆脆芝士層,麵條重蛋味唔乾身,配合酸蕃茄醬同芝士白醬,夾埋中間的鹹香牛肉碎,衝擊味覺享受,又唔太漏,真係好好味。

Fettuccine Pork Sausage
辣味豬肉腸寛麵,個辣汁係少少辣的,但好有刺激味道的感受,配埋個寛麵係一個好好的配搭。呢款都係可以再Encore的款式。

甜品係雲遊大思最鐘意的Tiramisu,custard味幾重,好creamy,手指餅浸得啱啱好濕,咖啡味好濃,口感一流。

整體評分:8分
整體環境簡約,Bar枱設計未必坐得舒服同埋可能有少少迫,但勝在食物質素高挽回不少分數,正宗手工意大利麵,出品勁優質同妹味,甜品的Tiramisu勁度推介要叫嚟食呀,真係好好味架。

yes people are not wrong. their truffle pasta is indeed ASTOUNDING! imagine every bite soaked with truffle cream, the chewy texture of the pasta and the strong aroma of black truffle from the thin slices of truffle. it would be perfect if there was less oil. Been longing to visit this Wanchai branch Pici for a long time as many of my friends mentioned that it is the best branch in Hong Kong.😎 Although the shop was smaller than expected and it was a bit noisy upstairs 😕🐟Tuna tartare: Tuna cuts were fresh and tender, and the combination with some mashed avocado and pickled red onions definitely woke our tummies up for more food! Love the starchiness and chewy texture of the orecchiette, pasta shaped like eats. Italian sausage was very delicate, I wish there was more! The nduja sauce was creamy and spicy, with some sweetness to reduce some heat🔥

🍝Pasta of the day: Mussel Pasta
Got to be my most favorite dish of the night. Mussel was sweet with remains of the saltiness from the ocean. Sauce was incredible as it soaked up the flavors of the seafood, creating a taste of the ocean.🤩👍🏻

Very milky and creamy yet not too sweet pudding to finish off the meal. Jam was very berry like and could be sweeter!

☕️Tiramisu:
Ladyfingers soaked in strong espresso along with some rum. Your must order dessert to complete the PICI experience.

晏晝突然間好想食pici,即刻叫咗朋友去等位,平時如果大約一點去食一定要起碼等幾個字,真係好多人食!已經試過幾次啦,今次就是第一次試嘅千層麵🤪😚真係超級邪惡又多熱量,不過一次半次就唔緊要啦哈哈!呢個千層麵唔好睇佢細細盤,一個人食一定食唔晒!所以我都係同朋友分享,千層麵表面係微微烤焦既芝士,鹹香味十足,芝士味都相當突出!不過建議同面一齊食,如果唔係就真係鹹左啲Pici主打手工麵,啲千層麵略嫌軟咗少少,但係調味一流,都算幾高質

呢個千層麵唔好睇佢細細盤,一個人食一定食唔晒!所以我都係同朋友分享,千層麵表面係微微烤焦既芝士,鹹香味十足,芝士味都相當突出!不過建議同面一齊食,如果唔係就真係鹹左啲

Pici主打手工麵,啲千層麵略嫌軟咗少少,但係調味一流,都算幾高質

最後我點了提拉米蘇,朋友則點了意大利奶凍,味道也很不錯。

吃飯期間,侍應生都很有禮貌和友善,常常幫忙添水,並會詢問我們食物的質素。他們會待客人吃過前菜後,才上主菜,不會趕著客人走。週末睡到自然醒,然後懶洋洋來吃個早午餐,與朋友家人聊聊天,是過一個休閑下午的好地方。

First time trying the 𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚 𝘽𝙚𝙚𝙛 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙚. It was amazingly done. They went for a more mushy approach that you did not need to chew much but the flavours would already explode. The truffle aroma was very nice on nose and mouth. Worth a mention is the egg yolk. Super rich and super sweet‼️

Their weekend brunch is a great bargain that they feed you with loads of pasta🍝 The 𝙂𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙞 𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚 was my favourite in the last visit. It was like a giant ravioli in sunflower🌻shape. It was stuffed with a whole egg yolk together with truffle paste and shallot. Just amazing🤩

The other two pastas were 𝙂𝙣𝙤𝙘𝙘𝙝𝙞 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙣 and 𝙋𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙞. My two types of favourite pasta🥰 The gnocchi was chewy and the tomato sauce was packed with prawn flavour. Just love that. The pappardelle was okay as expected but I just could resist to slurp them😋

食完一個意粉唔係好飽,但都冇理由一個人試兩個意粉咁誇張。所以叫多一個甜品令到呢餐更加完美。餐廳甜品得兩款,選擇唔多。唔知係咪因為呢排食咗好多西餐,間間都話自己嘅提拉米蘇係最出名🤣🤣,呢間手工意粉餐廳都唔例外。佢地甜品賣相就一般啦,係最正頭正路樣唔係打卡款,味道都係中規中矩,係最傳統嘅味道。

總結:我幾鍾意呢間餐廳嘅環境,基本上係半戶外進餐幾舒服。服務都好好,不過灣仔呢一個區域通常請全英文侍應,餐單有一大堆完全唔識既意粉名唯有手指指🤣,所以如果有多份半中文Menu我會更加開心。手工意粉質素合格。甜品就一般,應該只係因為太傳統已經滿足唔到我啦😅。 純意粉來講有少少偏貴,到此一遊系列。
