餐牌紅色字的招牌菜式,我order燴雞(待應無介紹甚麽汁)好似紅酒燴牛腩的汁,但無紅酒味,但汁是ok,但雞肉真是無雞味,鞋鞋地,點解?大快活,大家樂,家鄉雞,都是雪雞,但有雞味及香滑,why??

友人的香煎鱸魚拌意粉,賣相好靚,我試一件,無味,鞋,why??自己買急涷魚煎好味過佢。

另一道,慢煮豬腩肉,都滑,好似燒肉再用汁煮,皮脆脆地,只嚐到汁味道。
燒羊架,夠騷味,最ok,及格。

因為地點,環境,賣相,汁才給ok分,否則是負評

My brunch main was an eggs Florentine. This was served with a small jug of grapefruit Hollandaise. The poached eggs were poached perfectly.  They were laid on top of a bed of spinach and toasted English muffins. The Hollandaise was desribed as grapefruit so was a bit more tart than usual. It was ok but I think I would have wanted a more creamier texture.

The food was ok. Nothing exceptional about it. I wasn't a big fan of the Hollandaise and wished they stuck to the classic version. Latte was horrid and was clearly not expected. Service was lovely though with a thoughtful checking in from the staff. But food was a bit disappointing so would probably not return.

哩排真係好想好想食牛扖,行行下就去咗pacific place入面一間法國餐廳,餐廳乾淨大方,manager見我哋睇緊craft beer就即刻同我哋介紹邊隻濃邊隻淡,好warm。我同朋友一人叫咗一杯craft beer同rib eye,而appetizer方面我就叫咗一個三文魚之類嘅嘢(唔記得嘢名哈哈),朋友就叫咗龍蝦湯。龍蝦湯呢我就冇試,但根據朋友挑剔嘅口味都話係好味嘅,加上佢一口氣飲晒成碗,咁應該真係好味。而我叫嘅三文魚乜乜乜其實就係蛋沙漠加煙三文魚粒,加上olive點綴,而中間嘅就係cream cheese,成個配搭十分惹味,有趣又驚喜,真係比個like比諗哩道菜出嚟嘅人。而重頭戲rib eye,side dish係薯條,薯條脆度唔錯,不過對於鍾意食粗薯嘅我嚟講當然想佢整得再粗dd,至於rib eye,我同朋友都係叫medium rare,就選材料嚟講,哩塊rib eye太多筋同肥肉,而且牛味唔重,而哩塊rib eye值接近500蚊,所以我覺得性價比係低嘅。抵讚嘅係craft beer十分唔錯,我同朋友都讚不絕口呀~~~

友人既前菜, 係餐廳其中一樣推介菜式. 鵝肝賣相肥美, 望落好似好鬼好食, 所以在下豪不客氣叫友人切少少黎俾在下試下. 又真係幾好味喎! 鵝肝本身夠肥美, 煎得亦夠香, 食落口有應該要有既入口即化. 底下既榲桲汁 (梨汁啲朋友) 同塊脆多士平衡番啲油膩. 而甜酒汁醬所帶既獨特甜味令呢道菜喺味道層次上更豐富, 又甜又油, heavy得黎好guilty啊!!! 讚多樣野係核桃, 出面包左層糖衣, 咬落鬆脆, 為每一口肥美鵝肝之間作一間短暫緩衝~

同樣係推介菜式, 同樣係法國傳統野, 而家新派既法國餐廳已經好少見到呢個菜式了. 田螺好細心地折晒肉, 然後浸淫喺用牛油, 牛油, 同牛油, 點解講三次? 因為真係真係好多牛油… 仲有香草, 碎洋蔥造成既醬汁, 拎去焗. 焗出黎外面脆一脆, 裏面… 油一油, 依然都係好多油, 不過堅香!!!

田螺本身冇咩味道大家都知, 重點係佢夠大隻, 好肉地, 配埋個sauce又係好heavy, 不過超惹味! 就咁空口食真係未必頂到佢既重量, 將佢地配埋面包食就好多了.

友人既主菜, 在下當然又打稅. 三文魚煎得肉香而皮脆, 重點係冇過熟, 仲保留到三文魚既魚油, 魚肉保持juicy同tender, 讚! 最怕食到啲乾憎憎既三文魚扒. 不過, 如非必要, 在下都比較少喺西餐叫魚食, 呢道食材始終屬於中菜~

呢個真係唔話得啦, 先唔講味道, 淨係份量都贏晒, 青口起碼有成25-30隻, 仲有薯條一大兜, 邊個話法國菜碟大餸少食唔飽人架?!

青口鮮甜, 重點同三文魚一樣, 都係冇overcook, 最怕青口熟過頭跟住縮晒水, 得番手指甲般咁細隻. 好多時候食海鮮, Less is More, 青口要好味其實唔駛點整色整水, 只要青口本身靚, 簡單烚兩下, 配埋個濃淡適宜既白酒忌簾汁, 已經係一道人間美味. 跟番傳統做法, 青口係會跟番啲薯條, 點蛋黃醬食又得, 點番落個白酒忌簾汁度食都得!

頭果15隻的確愈食愈好味, 不過好味還好味, 由於白酒忌簾汁加薯條配蛋黃醬, 你都咪話唔飽唔濟, 所以食左3份2之後, 在下就極力誠邀友人試食, 最好試晒果3份1.

爭扎過究竟叫Tarte Tatin定呢個甜品好, 特登問一問侍者拎意見, 佢推介Cherry Clafoutis, 話呢個比較特別, 然後補充話佢自己個人就唔太鍾意, 食既時候會挑走晒啲車厘子, 咩料… “我唔鍾意但我推介”, 係咩方法既銷售技巧… 不過就係咁反而令在下更想試, 即管信佢一次~

其實呢個甜品似面包布甸, 軟軟綿綿, 車厘子焗完之後濃縮左, 變得更甜, 配上櫻桃酒, 香味十足, 車厘子既粉絲不容錯過! 最後加埋暖身既布甸, 好warm咁為呢餐飯劃上句號.

伴碟既有鮮忌簾, suppose要撈埋落去一齊食, 不過在下最近立志要將腹肌兄弟們打散, 將佢地分番開六舊, 所以並未品嚐~

野食野飲COMMENT

菜式係走傳統路線, 並無什麼特別花巧, 賣既係傳統法國煮法, 食得出佢地啲野比較down to earth, 唔會見到泡泡, 雕花雕草既擺設, 欣賞餐廳忠於原著, 並無隨波逐流, 跟隨所謂既普世價值.

不過… 話雖如此, 呢道既食物的確比較 “有營養”, 久唔久黎一次會係賞心樂事, 每日都黎就麻煩準備定身後事~

服務COMMENT

一半侍者係外國人 (高級地方嘛), 一半local, 基本上佢地既服務都好好, 又有禮貌, 亦都會主動問下我地啲, 野食啱唔啱胃口.

環境COMMENT

雖然唔係坐喺餐廳入面, 而係outdoor 位置 (不過都係喺商場入面, 係有冷氣的, 所以為室內既outdoor), 原本以為會人來人往有啲嘈吵, 但可能由於商場實在太高級既關係, 出入既都係高檔人士, 所以同 “嘈” 呢個字拉唔上任何關係, 就係咁在下同友人又過左個寧靜既午膳.

以Lunch黎講, 每人四舊水講唔上抵, 不過喺金鐘PP呢啲高級地方, 可以坐得舒服享受一個高質既午餐, 連杯咖啡都只係賣緊3x幾, 其實喺某程度上都算還可以.

Excellent. Loved all 3 waitresses who attended to us. They were friendly, agreeable and helpful. Also gave you a feeling that you were being taken care of.

But...but...the star of the show is...the food!

A well-seasoned lobster bisque, intensely fresh, lobstery, and the consistency was just right - not too thick, but not watery at all. The consistency was similar to that of a proper Borscht soup served at Czarina's, or Queen's cafe (not the watery type). Even my mother who is a picky eater had high praise for this. Recommended.

I ordered this. I love crab cake. This one was just the right size for me, with a substantial amount of real and fresh crab meat, with a crunchy panko exterior and a soft, moreish interior. It tasted delicious. The seaweed butter medallaion on the top added to the creaminess and the small side salad dressed with a light vinagrette helped to balance out the full, rich flavor. The only improvement I could think of is a reduction of the thickness of the crust, because it is slightly bready and too "crunchy" for a crab cake, which I think requires a katsu-like lightness. However, the flavor was perfect. Highly recommended.

I ordered this, and finished 101% of it. This is what made my day, my month. First, I have never had this dish before. Second, don't be deceived by the word "steamed" and think tasteless, bland old peolpe's food. Think fresh, perrrrfectly salted / seasoned, tender, sous vide style fish fillet stuffed sandwiching a delicious mushroom mousse. I wish I took a photo of the cross-section of the fillet, but it tasted too good and I just couldn't think of anything else while ploughing through my entree. 

Must-order while it's still on the menu. Must order. 

Parsley veloute helped add some herby flavor to the fish, making it even more amazing. Straw potatoes added texture - basically a thin french fry, very crisp. 

Perfect dish. Can't stop raving about it. I would have this again anytime.

The pork was perfectly cooked - juicy, tender in the middle, slightly pink, but seared well on the outside. Nicely seasoned. Apple is always a good complement to pork but I would have preferred something like applesauce as opposed to cubes of cooked apple, because applesauce spreads more easily. Maybe a combination of both elements on the dish would have been perfect. Recommended.

Lacklustre. Portion too small, and flavour unremarkable - not too fresh. It was surprising because I thought, given the outstanding lobster bisque, it would not be unreasonable to expect amazing things from this dish as well.

This is for 2 men. This is a colossal piece of meat. I have no comment because I am not seasoned consumer of steak. I just know that the whole thing was ravenously inhaled by 2 men. When I picked at the meat hanging from the bone, I found that it was very oily and greasy, with a deep smoked/ grilled flavour, which I love (I love anything that's charred). The triple-cooked hand cut chips were...yummy. And so was that barnaise sauce. I think...if you like beef, you would love this. Cooked medium rare.

Not bad. But, not remarkable. This one was slightly overcooked and a little bit thicker than I would have liked. The orange sauce wasn't alcoholic enough and a tad too sweet, so were the candied orange peels. But - all in all - it is not too bad. I think this would be a good choice to end the meal, coz it's very French, and is not too heavy. Liked the citrusy end.

These were complimentary, and very unappealing. Far too sweet, basically chocolate-covered chocolate ganache. 

Conclusion
Will definitely be back for the highlighted items. Their lunch menu is almost identical and also at the same price..curiously. But but. I will be back. 

Sole fillet, don't get switched out yet, pretty please. I want you in my belly one more time.

Plat du Jour is a relatively new restaurant replacing the rather average tapas “bar” Zelo that has been running since 2010 but was unable to stand the test of time. Even before walking in, Plat du Jour exudes undeniable Parisian bistro charm and would draw the attention of anyone walking by.

Billed as a classic French bistro, Plat du Jour nevertheless feels slightly too upscale sitting in Pacific Place and with its brand new red leather banquettes and marble-topped tables lacks that homey touch of a straightforward, traditional French bistro. The design is elegant, but modern. Service is decent, but waiting staff would not go further than necessary.

The place is not completely filled even on a Friday lunchtime. We ordered the two-course set lunch (starting at $268 or thereabouts) and one would expect to pay roughly $350 per head for lunch as most items on the menu cost extra. Both of us had a Niçoise salad as starters and for mains I had sea-bass while my friend chose pig cheek.

Complementary bread was a disappointment. It looked home-baked but tasted stale and was not much more than a baked dough of white flour. Not trying to be fussy but the bread could give us an indication about how French the key personnel running the kitchen really are.

Anyhow, food came shortly after we ordered and I was pleasantly surprised by the salad – the tuna came poached and the salad was fresh and well-seasoned. I’m typically not a fan of sun-dried tomatoes but those in the salad were superb and instantly added pizzazz to an otherwise everyday dish. The poached egg also made the dish look fancier.

For a place touted as an authentic French bistro, there're a number of dishes that they've got to do right - steak tartare, mussels and of course their escargot. I was a little curious about their classic Escargot Bourguignon so that was how my lunch started this afternoon. But things did not work out as well as planned. The sauce with parsley and garlic butter was nice but less impressive were the snails which were a little small in size and could've been more flavorful. That was a poor start (Grade: 2/5).

For dessert, I went with something printed in red and bold on the menu - apple tarte tartin with caramelized apple, puff pastry and vanilla ice-cream. It's gotta be their signature dish I hope. But was it good enough to be a house specialty? I don't know about that. The puff pastry I thought should have been a little more crispy and that would give it a much more enjoyable bite (Grade: 3/5).

室溫的法包,我留意到放在櫃旁!方面侍客!如果翻熱的話,不論口感及質感會比較理想!
法包包邊略為煙韌而帶有麥香,簡單配上牛油食用已帶出美味!

在我印象中,Madeleine 瑪德蓮總是貝殼形狀!店方出品有點像 cup cake!
 
散發清新芳香的檸檬味,配上豔麗而激酸的紅莓醬,即時生色不少呀!

濕潤鬆軟的蛋糕質感,切開一部份影相,檸檬醬呈流心狀態,令我即時想起朱古力心太軟!
 嚐一點甜品,我已經很滿足了!
