They essentially serve Indian dishes with French influences, and the two cuisines complemented each other in every dish. The razor clam kachumber was very fresh and a perfect start to the meal. my favorite dish overall was definitely the steak tartare, which was served on top of potato pavé.
The potato was crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside, and both the textures and flavors went perfectly with the steak tartare. It was so good I could've eaten the whole dish by myself! next the butter chicken came with a very flavorful sauce as well as some onions and tomatoes, which gave the dish a nice balance. The lamb was cooked so well and the quality of the meat was really good. One of the best lamb chops l've had in Hong Kong! lastly, for dessert, we got the fixed sticky toffee pudding, which was a perfect portion and came with some yogurt on the top, which balanced out the sweetness. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant was very homey and comfortable. This dinner surpassed my expectations, and I will definitely come back soon!

“Pondi” the restaurant name was inspired by South of India’s city: Pondicherry - that has a history of colonisation by the French East India Company. I thought this was extremely creative knowing this is a French 🇫🇷 and Indian 🇮🇳 fusion restaurant 🤩🤩. Co-founded by @chef_georgekwok and @floorstoriesbynat who also founded shop B - I knew this meal was going to be something special.

I normally find Indian food quite heavy when you have too much from all the dairy/yogurt 🥛 - but because this also had an element of French in it; it balances everything out. We had the 8 courses menu (for $680 pp) - and it did not disappoint. They also do 6 course for $500 pp. Thats less than $100 per dish 🤩🤩! Every dish were so different from each other, but all were explosion of flavours 🤩. I’m obsessed - highly recommend getting the tasting course as you’re able to taste different plates (and you don’t need to think what to order 🤣🙈).

Mind. Blown🤯 This French-Indian spot's 8-course tasting menu was insane! Lamb chaap, grilled butter chicken and jackfruit kofta were faves. Panipuri was a refreshing twist. Mind. Blown🤯 This French-Indian spot's 8-course tasting menu was insane! Lamb chaap, grilled butter chicken and jackfruit kofta were faves. Panipuri was a refreshing twist. Flavors were bold and exciting, can't wait to come back!🤩

Didnt enjoy their MOMO at all, especially the cabbage flavour, dumpling skin was too thick and filling wasn’t good at all. Pork Momo still having the thick dumpling skin issue but the filling was acceptable. Definitely not worth paying $398 for it!!

I won’t come back for sure, taste was super weird and literally not worth $398pp!we paid total $2600 for 4 persons, including the free flow momo menu + free flow water + one serve of fries + a bottle of red wine

Very disappointed dinning experience at pondi!
Could have better alternatives elsewhere so please avoid this one!
