Run is a very good Chinese restaurant which consistently presents good and good-looking food ! For lunch we ordered some dim sum - such as the very pretty wagyu button pastry , shrimp dumpling and charsiu rice roll.We also had the favorite salted chicken which is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside ! We tried a new dish this time which is pan fried Japanese scallop, Jinhua ham and fermented wine sauce! The scallop is big and juicy! The seasoning is just right and I would recommend it

Booked Run for husband’s birthday dinner, checked in advance that it welcome babies for dining in and have been expecting a great dining experience as a one Michelin star restaurant. However I was highly disappointed and concerned with how my family was treated last night. We brought along our 11-months baby and they placed us in the main dining area. However half way through dinner, we were asked to move into a room as our baby is making too much noise (she wasn’t even crying, but you know baby makes noise) and disturbed other diners. Yes the waiter use the exact same word - ‘we disturbed other diner.’ We ended up packing the food for takeaway because baby has a lot of gears to pack, and I am already 8 months pregnant so moving table half way through dinner was not ideal at all. I was shocked and felt mistreated, and sadden that the birthday dinner was completely ruined this way. If they don’t welcome babies for dining or they have a set of minimum age they should have made it clear and I wouldn’t even book this restaurant in the first place. I am also fine if they placed us in a room at the beginning, but not moving tables half way and being told we were a disturbance to others.

In terms of food quality it’s also very average. The cha siu is too salty and I had to drink water all night long. The chicken and e-fu noodles were so average I could simply had a similar dish at a regular cha chang tang that cost me a fraction of the price I pay. Plus We ended up with takeaway boxes and of course the food were cold and we just ended up trashing them.

Average food, terrible services, big question mark in my head how this restaurant even deserve a Michelin star. Do not come to this restaurant if you want decent Chinese food and great customer service, there are a lot more better options in HK. Don’t waste your time and money here.

The pork is too perfect so I'm a bit disappointed with this crab claw dish. This is on the special menu. The Hua Diao taste is like nothing, not strong enough, and some alkaline water 鹼水 favor. However, the crab claw is fresh, just the sauce seasoning can be improved.

I came here for breakfast once after a night stay at the St. Regis hotel. It was OK. Didn't particularly find their breakfast amazing. 
However, my mind was changed after going back for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with my family for a fancy 1 Michelin 🌟 dim sum fix.


Out of my surprise, this place was extremely popular and booked out for a couple of months especially on the weekends. Similar to the popularity of Lung Keen Hing, a 3-star Michelin for Cantonese cuisine. Luckily, we managed to score a reservation for a Saturday within 3 weeks with American Express Platinum Card.👏🏻



We ordered a la carte and shared various dim sum dishes, which included Deep Fried Lobster Spring-roll (HK$ 168), Deep Fried Diced Wagyu Beef with Black Pepper Sauce (HK$  128), Steamed Shrimp Dumplings (HK$ 98) and Steamed Shrimp and Pork Dumplings (HK$ 148).  They tasted good, but nothing mind-blowing.


We also tried their Fried Rice with Mullet Roe (HK$138 p.p.) and Wok-fried Crab Claw with Dried Shrimp and Bean Curd Sheets (HK$ 368 p.p.). Both were flavorful and delicious, but expensive as the price was per person. Especially the crab claw 💰💰💰 Small portion for the price. You could almost get a whole crab at that price, instead of just a claw.

Most interesting and adorable dish was their Baked Crispy Bun with Diced Chicken in Porcupine form! 
  Too bad other cute dishes I wanted to try were already off menu. Their menu changed seasonally.


My favorite was Barbequed Iberico Pork (HK$ 368). 
 Super succulent with crispy smoked flavored on the outside, it was absolutely the highlight of the meal. 
 Perhaps the best BBQ pork I have eaten in Hong Kong. On par with Lung Keen Hing's BBQ pork, which was my favorite.  


Their desserts were also tasty. We got the Dessert Duo (HK$98) which was Chilled Ginger Panna Cotta and Deep Fried Sesame ball with Mashed Pumpkin and the Chill Pink Guava Cream Sago with Coconut Jelly (HK$ 78), which I really enjoyed and devoured. 



Lunch for 3 people (without tea, no alcohol) was : HK$ 3100. 


Overall, it was a delectable but expensive lunch. Get your wallet and taste-buds ready. Worth to try

Deep-fried Matsuba Crab Claw is definitely my favourite dimsum🤩 The crab claw was wrapped inside a taro paste, and then almond flakes was added on top. It was then deep-fried to golden! The outermost shell was crispy, while the taro was light and fluffy😍

這個杏香荔茸松葉蟹鉗,外層非常香脆,裏面的芋泥軟滑,加上鮮味嘅蟹肉,真的是太好吃了😋

Marinated smoked foie gras was definitely my favourite dish at this place! 😍

The smoky taste made this dish unique. The foie gras was served in a pot filled with smoke. It was bit firmer than that you would have from a Western restaurant but it was still creamy.

🤓Tips: If you have the flour leave from the other dimsums (like Spicy deep-fried glutinous dumplings/ fried crab claw), you can eat it with the foie gras. I think the contrasting texture would make it taste even better 👅

Another dish that I loved was the fried rice with dried Sakura shrimp and mullet roe. The Sakura shrimp was fried to a crisp texture and the mullet roe was very flavourful! 😍

For the other dimsums, the presentation and the taste were both excellent. Also, the service was very nice. Unfortunately, I felt that it lacked a “wow” factor and the price was a bit steep. I was more impressed their smoked foie gras and fried rice with mullet roe!
