也是先來一客麵包籃,麵包籃內有數款麵包,分別有Dried tomato foccacia、意式麵包、意式的酥餅及Grissini,先談那意大利香草蕃茄麵包,吃起來不夠熱及鬆化軟熟,麵包是有點包香的,但又不是太強,而那乾蕃茄發出的微酸又不太起到應有的作用,始終也是覺得在Aspasia那邊的好一點;另外的意式麵包也是挺硬身,而且麥味不夠濃,正自心想是否意大利人也受了東歐人的影響,連麵包也變成它們那樣子,此乃題外話了,吃着這個不太有麥香的麵包,也正好讓我有藉口一嚐那三色的醬,分別為意式乾蕃茄醬、意式香草醬及意式豆醬。

意式乾蕃茄醬味道頗濃,挺有蕃茄味的,而乾蕃茄浸在橄欖油中,吃起來有點油潤,一點兒也不乾口;意式香草醬是三者之中最為濃烈的一款,香味直攻鼻腔,味道鹹甜平衡有致,剁得幼細的香草浸入一點橄欖油中,味道濃得來也很是不錯;最後的意式豆醬在平凡中見不平凡,在普普通通的豆蓉內滲入了一點火腿肉末,吃起來有火腿的鹹香,又有豆的香味,不錯。

另外兩款的麵包比之前所述的兩款也要好,意式酥餅薄薄的一片,吃起來是酥脆十足,牛油香強烈,妙!Grissini也是做得不錯,外脆而內鬆軟,真的是第一回吃到像樣的Grissini,之前吃的,不是整條也是硬得人掉牙的,就是整條也如軟皮蛇一樣,而此處就同時做到以上的質感,而且吃起來也帶點牛油香,很不錯呢,究竟這兒的Grissini是否全港最好的呢?也許要到Grissini吃過它們的Grissini才知。

有美食又怎可以沒有佳釀呢?在Wine List之中選了其中一款紅酒的House Wine,是Bolgheri Rosso 2007,百多元一杯也不少的,喝起來是非常平易近人,充滿了果香及甜美,酒也是醇香而一點也不澀,相信其單寧應該不會太高,時下不論吃紅肉白肉,越來越多人也說可以是照喝紅酒可也,相信也不是每一款紅酒也可以與魚類等鮮美的食材同吃,但這一款應該是沒什麼問題。

Appetizer我們點了Antipasto Delia Casa Alla Romana,意即可以在那The Roman Antipasto Table上,任取食物一次,而店家容許客人用盛食物的碟也挺大,可以讓我拿多一點,和女友一起分享,走到了Antipasto Table,也真的有挺多的食物供選擇,但似乎Angelini的Weekend Brunch也不比它少,但大路的也是一應俱全,每款的食物店家也只是放了一點點,如Parma Ham,整碟也只放了八塊,可能店家是想保持食物的新鮮度吧。

小小的枱面也放了十多款迷人的意式頭盤,菜類的有紅椒黃椒、蕃茄乾、煮鮮菌、黑水欖、西蘭花及燒茄子等,比較出奇的是沒有意國有名的火箭菜;另外也有不少的滲有肉類或全肉類的頭盤,分別有豆炆豬腩肉、意式蛋批、清煮吊筒帶子蝦、水牛芝士與蕃茄、煙三文魚、巴馬火腿及哈密瓜及兩款醃肉腸。小弟吃自助餐的宗旨是樣樣都要試,今次也不例外,又是拿到整碟也滿了,回去與女友分享。

上述的醃菜大都是以酸酸的黑醋及橄欖油醃過,吃起來有油潤感而又酸酸的,很開胃,加上隱隱發出的橄欖油及陳醋的香味,真的非常對味,尤其是那切成片狀的茄子,將茄子切成薄片後再網燒,然後才以橄欖油及陳醋漬之,吃起來除了有上述的香味外,更有燒焦了的茄子發出的陣陣炭香,很是不錯,吃了三片也還想再吃。

肉類當然也很是不錯,豆炆豬腩肉味道調得剛好,紅菜豆軟腍粉粉的,一口咬下即化成一團粉,在口中散發出豆香,豬腩肉也是炆煮得不過火,味道濃而不嚡;意式蛋批少少甜而有蛋香,質感鬆軟有層次感,不錯;清煮吊筒帶子蝦真的是純吃海鮮的清鮮,幸好上述三種海鮮也不負眾望,吊筒軟腍起來又有咬口,不會如吃橡皮膠一樣,帶子軟腍有彈性,味道清甜,最後的蝦看起來有點玻璃,但咬下又是爽口清新,是很對版的一款頭盤。

接下來還有水牛芝士與蕃茄,本人愛吃此道,所以愛之深,恨之切,蕃茄仔是清新好吃的,但水牛芝士的味道淡得過份了點,而且不夠腍身,不太像樣;煙三文魚很有魚的油香及咸度非常適當;兩款醃肉腸也真的是很稱職,切成薄薄的一片送進口,仍然是鹹勁十足,令人滿口的口水也變成了海水,但肉香的油潤仍舊存在,所以又是一對版之作;最後介紹的也是很多人愛吃的巴馬火腿及哈密瓜,也先淨吃火腿試其味道,味道確是甘香美味,但個人認為其香味絕對是可以再豐厚一點,然後再加了哈密瓜同吃,哈密瓜非常香甜,其甜度剛好抵消了巴馬火腿的鹹味,吃起來有肉香及果香在口中混合,感覺很是不錯,這個頸盤二百五十八元,吃這麼多的美食,真的可以說是超值。

接下來就喝碗湯,點了Stracciatella Classica Alla Romana,即是用上閹雞及牛肉作一個清燉肉湯,內有一點點巴馬芝士及西芹,然後再加上蛋花而成,誰說只有中國人懂煲湯?這個清燉肉湯,也先不要談其他配料,光光是喝那口湯,已經是妙不可言,湯清如帶點黃色的水,但味道喝起來是很有肉香,而且是一點也不膩,雞及牛的配搭使得肉湯的香味及濃度取得了平衡,加上蛋花來喝,也是非常對版,但個人而言,蛋花的存在價值不大,而巴馬芝士及西芹的味道也全不突出。

主菜要了Costolette Di Abbacchio Alla Scottadito Con Timo Limonato,簡單點說就是炭燒羊架,羊架燒得滿有焦香,加了點百里香及檸檬汁來燒,味道更是簡單而豐富,一口咬下羊架的肉,表面有炭香,而肉質就非常鮮嫩,着了師傅燒成Medium也是對版,吃起來就既有肉香而一點也不會「痴」牙,加上點點百里香的香味及檸檬汁,既香又平衡了一點油份的膩滯感,加上那羊架骨頭 的部份也是滿有炭香,黏着骨的肉筋味道又濃又勁濃炭香,真的不比啖啖肉的差,所以以每塊羊架價值過百元來說,還可以說是值得的。

最後也來一客此店有名的意大利飯,我們點了Risotto Carnaroli Ai Funghi Porcini O Alla Crema Di Scampi,即甜蝦煮海鮮意大利飯,意大利米用上加了忌廉及甜蝦一起熬出來的海鮮濃菜湯來煮,當中也應加了點芝士,飯粒是煮得粒粒也圓潤飽滿,吃起來煙韌有致,加上同時感受到濃濃的海鮮濃菜湯味,濃烈的芝士味及也是濃厚的忌廉味,真的是很好吃,最妙的地方也是莫過於,上述的三種味道沒有一款是特別突出而搶了風頭的,它們全都是配合得很好的,默默的各自各發揮其味道,這個意大利飯,真的不要說笑,和女友是共同的認為是感動到想喊的,可是面頭那三顆甜蝦就真的是太過普通了,吃起來不太甜美,而質地也當然傳承了甜蝦軟腍腍沒咬勁的特色,對我而言真的不大吸引,但總括來說,也真的是一個不可錯過的意大利飯。

飽餐了一頓後,也真的再容不下甜品了,但也至少有店家送的Petit Fours,Petit Fours用上兩層的銀碟盛着,底層的是五件曲奇餅,而上層的是四粒巧克力,五件曲奇餅其實總共有三款,其中一款表面有nuts,吃起來不會過甜,而且有nuts的香味,另外的兩款都也是甜得人掉牙齒的,其中一款的與感像極Mrs. Fields的曲奇餅,外層有丁點脆,但整體是軟腍腍而且非常甜身,另外的一款有些牛油的酥香,但也是太甜了,畢竟我不是甜魔呢。

另外那四粒巧克力同樣也是甜得人掉牙齒的,兩款白色的巧克力分別內藏榛果醬味及拖肥糖味的夾心,味道濃郁得吃不到巧克力香;黑色的那兩款分別是Chocolate Truffle及梅子醬或莓肉醬等的餡,Chocolate Truffle那款的巧克力夾心真的是很濃香幼清,但始終最多也只不過是50%的黑巧克力,而且味道太甜,莓肉醬的那款反為比較好,至少其果酸平衡了一點甜味。

有甜甜的Petit Fours,當然就要來兩杯咖啡來為這餐飯作結,今晚和女友點了Cappuccino及Double Espresso。Cappuccino的奶泡上有點巧克力粉,呷一口一看,其奶泡不夠厚也不夠香,但算是按本份的Frothy,但就是不夠綿密,其反光度也不高,似乎打奶泡的技巧也是需要改善,咖啡的味道算是不錯,在奶味當中還感受到濃濃的咖啡甘味,相信其咖啡豆是Roast得挺厲害的。

Double Espresso要上六十多元一杯,此處在咖啡Pricing方面是跟外邊的咖啡店的有所出入,Double Espresso比Cappuccino還要貴,也真的是第一次遇上。嗅了一下,喝了一口,心知不妙,Crema層其薄,而其咖啡的香味亦不太強,反而喝下去是如上所說,咖啡豆是Roast得挺厲害的,有Italian Roast的風味,但咖啡味濃而苦,是很平面的一種味覺,絕無立體的甘香,也好奇問店員是用了什麼豆,他說是用了Illy的阿拉伯加咖啡豆,坦白說,我也買過回家自己沖,印象非常不佳,而是夜的Espresso,也是同樣的教人失望,以一間被稱為香江最好的一所意大利餐廳,沖出來的Espresso是此質素,確是有點說不過去,比我之前在Angelini,也不要和其他比較好的咖啡店比較了。

雖然最後的咖啡不太好喝,但整夜的食物物質素,用餐環境及服務也真的是非常不錯,加上能和您一起享用,真的是很高興的一頓晚餐。多謝您的悉心安排,多謝您大破慳囊為我做的一切,真的非常感謝您。

巴拿馬火腿+ 哈蜜瓜, 煙三文魚, 不用說, 跟平日的水準一樣高, 但只吃了數片, 要留肚吃甜品嘛!

焗龍蝦, 呢個嘛嘛地, 雖然係新鮮焗起上, 但肉質不太鮮味, 有少少淋, 龍蝦味也欠奉, 浪費咗個胃的quota, 唔抵...


意粉, 以前會有好多種配料俾你自己揀, 但今次只有兩款. 意粉和長通粉的質地, 口感很對辦, 可惜配料係吞拿魚, 什菜之類, 就差了點...

燒烤大蝦, 見佢d 凍蝦咁好味, 就要咗個燒既, 鮮味差不多, 但落咗太多salt, 好鹹哩... 唔得!


主菜, 各人可再係menu 揀一個主菜, 平日通常我會要羊架, 但brunch 有鴨肝, 我當然要呢個啦... 又再次挑戰自己的極限...ohno
外表略嫌煎得太燶了. 不過, 鴨肝都幾濃味, 沒有醬汁, 配上沙律菜, 減點油膩, 更合我意.

終於到了甜品時間, 今次見到個甜品枱, 有少少失望, 比之前的好似少了點. 說不上少了甚麼, 但st honour 過往像小山丘似的, 現在矮了一截. 侍應說是有些客人略嫌之前的太漏, 所以改良了一下. 不過, 幸好味道仍沒變, 酒味的custard 係我很喜歡, 很特別, 唯批底似乎不夠過往的鬆脆.

而tiramisu 也改了小杯裝, 呢個改動真好好, 乾淨, 精緻很多. 呢個久違了的酒香, 好好味, 果然係royal garden 的皇牌, 好想再食多個哩!

藍莓芝士餅, 芝士餅較坊間的鬆軟點, 芝士味濃, 批底也不膩, good! 可惜topping的藍莓太多太甜, 要give up d 呢...

麵飽布甸, 呢個我諗我好少會讚好食, 但呢度既, 點講呢? 我都唔知點解, 但覺得麵飽和旦係混在一起, 平日總覺得佢地係被迫放埋一齊, 唔夾. 但呢個好match, 係天造地設的一對.

另一驚喜係呢度的panna cotta, 我覺得d 雲嗱呢籽係表面, 已好喜歡. 食了一口, 真係好香, 好滑, 放入口, 就可以直接吞下
又滑又好味, 正!

見到琳瑯滿目的朱古力, 真係放不下. 今次仲有haagen dazs tim,... 我滿心歡喜的拎了一杯至愛咖啡味, 點知真係好飽, 食咗幾啖咋...
好可憐的haagen dazs, 和好可憐的我哩!

呢餐最好的係甜品部份, 不容置疑啦! 若sabatini 有淨係甜品的buffet, 我諗我再努力都冇用...一定肥到暈咗....

What can I say? Expensive, but worth it. Buffet lunch on Saturday - a choice of many, many appetizers - yummy Artichokes, juicy capsicum, hugh tiger prawn, soft mussels, parma hams, dried beef, salad of many kinds...... AND a lovely bowl of bread. It also comes with unlimited supply of sparkling wine (pretty good one). Then comes a half-lobster - nice, soft, creamy, juicy baked. What can I say? Expensive, but worth it. Buffet lunch on Saturday - a choice of many, many appetizers - yummy Artichokes, juicy capsicum, hugh tiger prawn, soft mussels, parma hams, dried beef, salad of many kinds...... AND a lovely bowl of bread. It also comes with unlimited supply of sparkling wine (pretty good one). Then comes a half-lobster - nice, soft, creamy, juicy baked. Then the soup, then the 1st main course - the paster, then the second main course - sea bass, lamb rack......, come to surprise - free red or white wine goes with the meal, then buffet dessert, then tea or coffee.

Oh! so satisfied after such delicious meal.

Excellent service too!

Cost a bit more - but worth the pennies

燒烤部的多士、燒蝦和燒雞、每人一份的半邊芝士龍蝦也很不錯~


因為這個自助餐是半自助形式的,所以主菜和pasta也是每人自選一份,
Pasta可點各式不同的pasta配白汁或蕃茄汁,白汁比蕃茄汁香濃,意粉軟硬度剛剛好~

Main Course我選了鴨肝,份量十足及煎得外脆內軟,水準之作,

而朋友選了燒羊架(指明要較生一點的),我不吃羊所以未有品嘗~
主菜可配紅/白酒,我不喝酒,試喝了一小口就全杯留給朋友了‥‥真的不懂欣賞

甜品也有很多選擇‥‥可惜此刻我己蠻飽了,

只吃了一件St.Honore和一小杯的Haagen-Dazs雪糕便已再吃不下,
最後來一杯熱Cappuccino為這一餐來個完美的句號~


估不到這個buffet, 我們足足吃了三個多小時,邊吃邊聽著Live band唱歌,就像身處外國一樣,非常滿足~

星期日是我生日, 老公陪我慶祝, 食中午特設半自助的buffet.一入餐廳就已愛上那種格調, 有特色的decoration, 但不會太豪華的感覺, 讓人感覺很自然. 人客雖很多, 不會太靜, 但也不太吵; 又有live band, 氣氛愉快食物推介有:長腳蟹, 火腿配哈蜜瓜, 龍蝦, 鮮蝦, 煙三文魚, 鴨肝. 食物都很新鮮可口 另有sparkling wine, red wine, white wine, 也很好.甜品就普通, 但不會很差.另由於我生日, live band給我唱了生日歌, 經理也適時送了一個cake給我, 上面有candle及生日牌, 牌上還有我的英文名跟著經理拿出相機拍照, 送了一張即影即有相片給我們 很意外!!總括而言, 一定會再去, 因為食物真的不錯!!

今次來食生日飯可能今次坐的位置開揚好多,環境好似比上次romantic(睇0下張相)今期餐廳做緊mediterranean sea菜式。服務員介紹了幾款,我們選了一項,但服務員去完廚房之后走來話果條魚賣洒。何其失望?!頭盤:tomato soup with mussles and calms 正!個湯好有海鮮味,酸酸地,幾開胃。主菜:飛魚:去了其骨,再落配料烹調。食落好明顯條魚的肉地系梅既,不過煮法加番分。甜品:tiramisu 蛋糕。最中意外邊那塊寫著Tiramisu 的蛋糕片,另整個蛋糕很特別,亦令個蛋糕甜度適中。贊!

was introduced by Mr Choy (his books haha) many years ago, i forgot how many times (more than twenty) i come here, but it is really my fave, never disappointed: - cold starters- Risotto with prawn- Prama Ham- Grilled Chicken- lamp chops - pasta- tiramisu- chocolate mousse cake- cappuccino - the wine (both white and red)and, so on ....... and the band. hahaha. The only thing i don'y like is the space between the table and table is too narrow, unfortunately it is very common in HK restaurant.

我們都選了自助頭盤,可從外面自助餐檯揀選喜愛的餐前開胃菜,品種繁多,如煙三文魚,巴瑪火腿,蜜瓜,肉腸,雜菜批,番茄,水牛芝士,燴endive,茄子等。滿滿一碟,令人吃得開懷,蜜瓜甜美,配巴瑪火腿是天造地設,火腿亦淡口,雜菜批是有幾種菜蔬焗製而成,青豆,番茄,西蘭花等,可能熱的會更好味,煙三文魚的味道不腥,質素也不錯,唯自助餐檯上,配料如洋蔥圈,檸檬角等欠奉。放檯的麵包籃有三種麵包,而我最喜歡Grissini 麵包條,外脆內軟。

我們邊談邊吃,可能已消磨了一小時來吃這頭盤,也忘記了問可否添食,實質滿滿的一碟也很豐足,主菜也跟著上場了。

好友看著端來的 pasta,完全找不到任何似結他形的物體,喚了替我們落單的服務員來,他解釋不是結他形意粉,而是結他弦線般長的意粉,這跟先前我們聽到的有很大出入,好友有點失望,服務員很有禮貌地說如不喜歡可更換其他,友人說不用了。事實上,我們毫不會懷疑真有結他形狀的意粉,我們見過字母粉,ABCD,廿六個字母有齊,蜆殼,蝴蝶,甚至網球拍形的。說回這 pasta,是用茄汁底,魚肉粒像是冰鮮魚,但不腥,有數種菜蔬同煮,但似乎不應放椰菜花,有點不太夾,意粉韌度則好,這碟水準不高。

外面扒過的黃鰭吞拿魚腩,中間刻意不全熟,以免太「鞋」,肉質肥美,味道很好,燴白豆很腍,與魚很夾,美中不足,青口味道有點「壓」,整體算合格。

吃過主菜,侍應甜品車推過來我們檯前,有數款餅食,如拿破崙,tiramisu,apple crumble 等,友人選了tiramisu,我則選了chocolate mousse cake,也點了 cappuccino 和咖啡,附上的 petit fours 是杏仁,榛子餅兩款,充滿果仁香,tiramisu 友人都吃光了,應該不錯,而 chocolate mousse cake 的朱古力很幼滑香濃,甜度適中,咖啡味太濃烈,個人不大喜歡。

回家後,上網查看"chitarra' 和 "topinambour",原來 "chitarra" 是用一個長木盤,兩邊拉滿如結他般的鐵弦線,將壓好的麵團轆成薄片,放在木盤的弦線上,用木桿推壓,長幼條的意粉便擠了出來。是造意粉的用具放滿結他的弦線似結他,絕不是結他形的意粉,也不是如結他弦線般長的意粉。而 "topinambour" 是"Jerusalem artichoke" 即是薊,或稱丫芝竹。也好讓我知多一點點。

環境算是不錯,食物質素很好,廚藝則有進步空間,侍應的服務很慇勤,唯食物知識仍有待極大改進,是沒有訓練?還是訓練了,沒有好好用心記著?不得而知。

未遇莎芭天妮,像是蓋了面紗,朝思暮想,令人有幻想,但揭開了,卻又未算驚為天人。

之前食過午餐都已食過回味, 今次介紹給家人一起去食星期日中午特設半自助的 brunch buffet麵包都好食頭盤 : 龍蝦、瀨尿蝦、鮮蝦、煙三文魚、風乾牛肉、水牛芝士,看得人花看眼亂,事實上全都是高質素的,試想想吃完半邊龍蝦後,再大大啖吃煙三文魚,輔以芝味濃郁的水牛芝士,當中的享受真是非筆墨所能形容。不容錯過的還有馳名的 Parma ham with Cantaloupe Melon,味道帶點鹹香的巴馬火腿,配以香甜的蜜瓜,是個不錯的組合,個人認為味道比海鮮更吸引,故毫不客氣地吃了好幾轉。主菜 : 香煎鴨肝好正, 其他主菜都好正, 仲有可叫他們給我們試佢地出名的意粉甜品 : 已不大吃得下, 種類多我要了我至愛的Tiramisu, 因這處是最出名, 有HD一杯杯雪糕任食**已愛上, 下次一定再來!!

但我們都覺得這頓生日飯食得很盡興,唯一的遺憾當然是那首消失了的"情人"啦!

Back to the food. The waiters offered us sparkling wine or fruit juices as soon as we were seated. The sparkling wine was okay, but I quite liked the orange juice with pulps.

There was a starter buffet which consists of the following:

Chilled seafood (Lobster, giant prawns, mussels and crab) - They all tasted fresh although the crab was little on the salty side. The prawn however was excellent.

Cold cuts - I am not an expert when it comes to cold meats, but my bf who is an expert in this said it was very good.

Vegetables (grilled aubergine, sun dried tomatoes, mozzerella and cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, grilled courgettes, stuffed pepper with tuna, articokes, etc) - some of them had the chargrill taste that I really like. Most of them were upto expectation.

There were also smoked salmon (I would have preferred slightly more salty), spanish omlette, beef caparcio (tastes a lot better if you add a bit of lemon juice, salt and pepper) and salad leaves (very fresh).

Besides the cold starters, there were also tomatoe soup, sashimi toast (absolutely delicious although not very Italian) and pasta. There were either a tomatoe sauce or creamy salmon sauce with linguine or spaghetti. We ordered creamy salmon spaghetti and it was al-dente and very tasty.

One thing that I have to mention is the bread basket. I love the long white bread stick. I don't know the name of that type of bread, but it was warm, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

There were a choice of 5 or 6 main dishes (Foie Gras, Pasta, Steak, Grilled Chicken, Cod Fillet, ..) We both ordered the cod fillet which came with capers in tomatoe sauce and wild broccoli. The fish was pan fried - the skin was crispy and the meat was very tender.

To finish the meal, there were the dessert buffet and coffee. There was a chocolate mousse wth vanilla mousse. I thought that was the best dessert out of all the ones I tried. I thought the tiramisu was average because I could taste a lot of alcohol at the bottom layer of cake, but none at all at the middle layer. The blueberry cheesecake was just okay. The fruits (blueberries, strawberries, etc) however were very fresh.

The coffee was not the best I have tasted but it was okay.

Overall, I think the food was excellent and authentic. The service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was good. The cost was reasonable.

We were welcome at the entrance and led to our table which is at the far end of the restaurant. The décor is reasonable for a causal dining environment and definitely not grand. But the immediate feeling is that every single inch of space was utilized to put up as many tables as they could without any consideration of the patrons. You could literally shake hands with the patrons at the table next to yours. The setup is more for family gathering and friends reunion and definitely not suitable for couples who would like some breathing space and a bit of peace and quiet. Caprice of Four Seasons or Petrus of Island Shangri La is miles better.
There were more tables than the staff could handle and obviously the service is not attentive. However, you can see the staff being very busy, running round to try to serve each table but
There is a movable side table which is attached to our table. To our surprise, one purpose of the side table is as a transient area for the bottles of water ordered by the patron next table, the plates with finished meals collected from near by tables, etc. We have been t virtually all the top dining places in the territory and have never come across such experience. This is totally unacceptable and all I could say is that the staff there just didn’t have any common sense on how to serve in a fine-dining restaurant or is Sabatini supposed to be a fine-dining place ?
Regarding the food, we had crab meat with fried soft cell crab and Parma ham as appetizers. Followed by seafood soup which is excellent but my mushroom soup was nothing special. The scampi risotto my wife had was not again nothing special but my char-frilled yellow flounder fish was tasty. Overall, the food is OK.
The 30 oz T-bone steak seems to be a popular choice and we can see many people ordered that for sharing. The problem with the steak was the way it was served. The serving staff would slice the steak into portions by your table. The are two major issues with this way of serving : (1) the whole operation takes about 10 minutes and by the time the sliced steak was served on a plate to you, it should be at most warm and not sizzling; (2) the slicing was done on a chopping board and needless to say the meat juice would all be lost and you would not get a single drop of it. Is this the Italian way for serving steak ? Didn’t they know these issues or people having it didn’t know how a steak should be served ?
Nevertheless, I would not go again due to the service and environment. And for $1800 per person, there are many much better choices, Petrus or Caprice would remain my top favourite. Sabatini is just not up to standard in many ways.
