On the last day of the year of Rat 🐀, it’s time to have a nice lunch to wrap up the year. Finally got to try this authentic teppanyaki restaurant. Finally got to try this authentic teppanyaki restaurant. SANKA is a traditional Japanese teppanyaki restaurant that blends together with classic French techniques, creating a East meets West fusion culinary experience.
The environment is quite nice with 12 seats in front of the curved teppanyaki bar, and there’s 2 private rooms too.
As we were not that hungry, we went for the SURF AND TURF COURSE, including appetizer, daily soup, Homard lobster🦞, Premium Kuroge Wagyu Sirloin steak, and dessert.
Daily soup was pumpkin soup 🎃! It was served at the right temperature and the texture of the soup was very smooth and creamy😋 (guess there must be a lot of cream inside 🙊) anyways, who cares as long as it tasted soooo delish!!
We were lucky enough to be served by the executive chef of SANKA, Yamashita San! 🤩
Homard lobster 🦞
This lobster was perfectly cooked and the lobster meat was very chewy. The sauce was made by lobster and that elevated the freshness of the lobster.
A5 Wagyu Sirloin Steak
LOOK at the marbling of the wagyu!!
Same as the lobster, the wagyu was executed perfectly in medium as we requested. The inside of the wagyu was in THAT PINK COLOR!! The wagyu steak was super soft and not too oily. It was served with onion, san chiu and wasabi. I JUST WANT MORE OF IT!!!
Then, it came to the fried rice. The fried rice was seasoned with a little bit soy sauce. Not much flavor in it, but it smelled quite nice.
The greedy me went for Chiffon cake with salted cameral ice cream 😝
OMG! THAT SALT CAMERAL ice cream, nuts and chiffon cake went very well together. It was finished in 2 minutes ✌🏼
Sake is a must to pair with teppanyaki
This sake was very easy to drink, and it came small in size!! Recommend
Overall speaking, this is the best teppanyaki experience in Hong Kong so far, from soup to main course to dessert. The food was all perfectly executed. It wasn’t too pricy, given the authentic Japanese chef’s cooking skills. Will definitely visit for dinner later
