這個Scotch Egg是這裏的招牌菜,很多人都說這裏的Scotch Egg是全港數一數二的,其實並沒有很多餐廳在做這個菜色,他是用一隻蛋外面在包裹着一層肉碎,再沾上麵包糠去炸,所以切開可以看見很分明的層次。

再點了個炸丸$122,食物跟酒一樣出色!


感覺很舒服,每個人都有自己的comfort zone ,私隱度頗高互不打擾。值得一來!

Nice place to unwind. Inside is cozy and very nice place to chill away from loud and wild party people. A place to go if you want to just chill have a drink with simple snack while listening to a nice relaxing music. The lightning is a bit dark but I like it.

But we were quite surprised by the no nonsense flavors that came with it. Food was made whole heartedly, such as the fries remained crisp with truffle flavor when it cooled. Salmon rillette was another dish that positively surprised us, mainly because the menu didn’t described much apart from “crab meat, salmon, capers”, so we weren’t sure what we’re getting. Oysters were fresh. Roast beef sandwich was meaty and juicy. And sticky date pudding, highly recommended!

Overall we’ve enjoyed our dinner at Stockton. It’s definitely not fine dining, but a great place for well made cocktails with upscale pub food, live music and good ambience.

This dessert is the reason I came. SO gooooooood!
The cake is moist itself, with many dates that you can taste the bites.
Sweetness is perfect with the scoops of vanilla ice-cream to balance.

Next time if we come, we will try out their cocktails because seems like the bar is the star no the restaurant.

最後,還來了一份carrot cake,我是很喜歡吃carrot cake的;這個carrot cake,賣相有點不一樣,但味道跟傳統的差不多;味道不會太甜,蛋糕亦不是很實的那種,配上那cheese cream,很美味呢。

之前的全是炸炸炸,所以Salmon Rillette不是炸的小吃,顯得特別矜貴,三文魚醬及三文魚籽醬軟滑香濃,其實都幾飽肚。

終於等到最後的甜品時間了,每次都要吃的是Sticky Toffee Pudding。在柔軟濕潤的質感下,還有點彈彈的感覺,加上那股焦糖甜度卻充斥於口裡,而且微微的溫暖與凍冰冰的雪糕成為了強烈的冰火對比,為是晚劃上完美的句號,令人難以忘懷。

Not to mention The prettiest “Forty Four”, it is served in a big fish glassware, and aromatically covered with coconut oil fat-wash, a mix of Plantation Barbados Rum, Koko Kanu Rum and Fino Sherry, topped with marshmallow, lactart, aromatic bitters and finally, egg white. Coming to some decadent food, we have the signature duck scotch eggs. It has a nice crunch with a gooey yolk, made with chorizo, seasoned with paprika, drizzled with aioli, sitting on a bed of shredded green cabbage.

The black truffle risotto balls are also very crunchy with a creamy center, whereas the salmon rillette has been made deliciously with chives, pink peppercorn and salmon roe, served aside toasted rye bread. It is my favourite!

Finally, their desserts are absolutely divine. A sticky toffee pudding is a must-have, thick, moist and rich, topped with an amazingly sweet and sticky toffee sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream; deconstructed carrot cake, beautifully plated, pecan nut cookie crumble and a scoop of cinnamon ice cream to finish.
