One of the stops we made in the weekend guided tour is this old and nostalgic eatery that sells soy milk, tofu fa and local food. We tried the fresh bottled soy milk, it’s really good, smooth and full of flavour. The soy taste is strong, with medium sweetness, very good for quenching our thirst. Another highlight is the pan fried pork bun! It’s So Good! Hot out from the pan and it’s crunchy at the bottom! Very soft bun and stuffed with a delicious pork filling. I wanted to have two of these.

We tried the fresh bottled soy milk, it’s really good, smooth and full of flavour. The soy taste is strong, with medium sweetness, very good for quenching our thirst.

Another highlight is the pan fried pork bun! It’s So Good! Hot out from the pan and it’s crunchy at the bottom! Very soft bun and stuffed with a delicious pork filling. I wanted to have two of these.

德興隆豆腐鋪,聽其文縐縐的名字已像是上世紀開業的舖頭,直接打嚮是一間做豆腐的店舖,該有六七十年歴史。賣各類豆製品,亦有鍋貼,煎包等。店內掛了一張懷舊廣告畫,摸式似六十年代粵語片的宣傳海報設計,寫上「著名冷熱荳腐花、衛生凍荳漿」。基本上,這店舖像懷舊模型店的放大版。今天吃的是熱豆花,要熱的因感覺上是新鮮剛做出來的。不愧是「著名」,真的名不虛傳,豆腐花超級滑溜,且有豆味,不用加糖或甜漿,已經夠香甜了,非常正。

對於港島的老店,我是沒太多認識,因為我自小新界長大,若不是朋友帶我來德興隆,我也不知道北角有這麼好吃的豆腐老店呢。朋友原本蠻擔心找不到德興隆,附近在重建,幸好德興隆仍在,若搬遷也不知道那裡找。我們先來煎釀豆腐,牛肉包,凍豆腐花和凍薑汁豆腐花。熱騰騰的煎釀豆腐超大塊,豆腐表層煎得微微焦香,魚肉鮮嫩無骨刺,豆腐軟滑無比,口齒留香。牛肉包同樣有份量,拿上手沉甸甸的,包底煎至金黃,帶點脆度,不會軟綿綿的,包皮咬起來頗煙煙韌韌,牛肉肉餡肉味濃厚,十分討好。凍豆腐花和凍薑汁豆腐花最大分別當然是有薑汁和沒薑汁,朋友喜歡細細品味豆腐花的原味豆香,添加些許黃糖提味,簡單便是好滋味。至於我較鍾情薑汁豆腐花,薑汁可驅風暖胃,而且這薑汁辣而不嗆,配上柔滑的豆腐花,非常順口味美,很快地把薑汁豆腐花挖得光光的。我們仍未夠喉,追加一份鍋貼,這鍋貼真的不得了,餃皮香脆不用多說,內裡豬肉餡料鮮甜多汁,咬時大大噴汁,即使我們小心翼翼吃著,還是被肉汁彈射。

牛肉包同樣有份量,拿上手沉甸甸的,包底煎至金黃,帶點脆度,不會軟綿綿的,包皮咬起來頗煙煙韌韌,牛肉肉餡肉味濃厚,十分討好。
