and that sticky toffee pudding‼️ moist, gooey, and the ginger butterscotch sauce is absolutely to die for! Love the bit of heat it gives off and how it’s not overly sweet! dare say it’s one of the best in town!😻

for mains, the ox ribs rossini and schnitzel were nice too. Butttt the schnitzel to us just deemed a good schnitzel and nothing too much a of surprise🙈 the red wine jus was nice, the anchovy buerre noisette was beautiful, but we were definitely expecting something more refined given it’s considered as one of their signatures🙈 and the size was HUGE! Good if you’re sharing among a group but a bit heavy for two if you have another main, especially since the coating is very dry. So stuffed it felt like we had to force food into our stomachs🙈 Had no choice but to give it up:/ (we always try our best to clean our plates!) Perhaps we just aren’t much of a schnitzel person haha🙈🙈

▫️and the cocktails didn’t really suit our taste either🙈

Service was welcoming and enthusiastic☺️ but here’s the thing - 1. we booked a bench table but they forgot and brought us to a dining area table (we did get to sit at the bench table at last so it’s ok), and 2. We were there for a celebration and asked if we could get a message written in the dessert plate beforehand, but they completely forgot about it 🙈 not like it’s a big deal but def things they could improve on🙊

overall, good vibes, friendly service & decent food. but we were def expecting more from that price and michelin star reputation🙈

Not many places executed fish & chips well, in fact, rarely do I find a legitimate one. This was exceptionally well cooked and with clever twist on the complementary curry remoulade sauce which was super delicious. The key to success rest on the fish batter which was light, crispy and fluffy, yet the fish was still very tender and moist. Freshly made crispy spiced fries completed the flawless main course.

What can I say, the pudding looks absolutely inviting 🤤 Pouring the sauce over simply added that little drama. The pudding soaked in ginger butterscotch sauce was a winner! Love the ginger undertone, perfectly balanced the overall sweetness. The ice cream on top was just the icing on the cake, contrasted against the warm pudding.

Dark chocolate fans out there be alert! This ain’t ordinary lava cake, it’s extremely decadent and intensely rich (almost bitter but it’s how I liked it 😋) dark chocolate fondant. If only the center was more liquid, it would’ve aced it. The mint vanilla gelato was perfect accompaniment to the richness of the cake.

Came here after work for dinner. We have ordered their Roasted chicken & lobster “pot-au-feu”. The lobster soup was the best I have ever had! Just wish the portion of the lobster soup was bigger cause it was delicious. Foie gras & chicken liver parfait was amazing. Must order their DESSERTS

這個小波波外貌平平無奇,但一放入口,薄脆的外層入口即化,芝味非常濃郁,而且creamy 的芝士餡料在口中爆發。那濃濃的芝士香味中,陣陣大茴香籽的味道,雖然栗子蜜糖味唔係咁突出,但味道帶一點層次。

這生蠔焗得剛剛好,生蠔十分肥美,加上菠菜、香蔥和荷蘭醬,味道更有層次,口感更為豐盈。但個人覺得醬料的份量比較多,有點兒蓋過了蠔的鮮味。

忌廉芝士配煙三文魚是穩陣的配搭。
這挪威煙三文魚和我在北歐吃的味道和質感都差不多。同樣的鮮美嫩滑,沒有太多的脂肪紋。加埋忌廉芝士,味道更為滑溜豐富。美妙的是一點點檸檬香和爽口青瓜,令油潤的煙三文魚多一份清爽的感覺,不錯。

這水煮鱈魚已經切成小塊,拌以滑溜的洋蔥忌廉、香草、韮菜、檸檬和堅果等。魚肉剛剛熟,保持幼嫩的質地。每一口的口感十分軟滑,而且味道一點也不單調。帶一點洋蔥和香草香,但味道和剛才的一道菜有多少類近,同時有著濃濃的北歐風味。

羅西尼牛扒烤得表面微焦,而選用的部分是牛腩部分,半肥半瘦,肉質極為嫩口帶脂香。最正的是把牛扒配上肥腴的鵝肝,鵝肝的豐腴與牛腩的肉汁共舞,脂香肉嫩,好像滋味雙重奏,是這晚的亮點。還有烤洋蔥,味道也不錯。

甜品有點像聖誕的麵包布甸。布甸溫熱濕軟,當中夾有一些乾果,帶一點薑味。再加上拖肥醬汁,味道更為香甜,甜到我有點膩。再沾一些軟滑的呍呢嗱雪糕,口感更香滑creamy, 同時也減低了拖肥醬的甜味。



今天的晚餐水準不錯,但由於早曾到訪主理北歐菜的Frantzen’s Kitchen, 心𥚃不禁作出比較。相對之下,個人比較喜歡Frantzen’s 的味道。但若是性價比而論,雖然味道沒有嘩一聲的驚喜,但這兒的定價和份量都比較恰意。

Food was very nicely presented with flavour slightly on the strong side. Waiters were pushing their wine paring quite hard but what we saw on the wine menu didn't really catch our eyes. Interestingly though, cocktails they offer were a great pleasant surprise! We tired the tasting menu that night, and apart from the fish dish, which we found it a bit overcooked, rest of the dishes were very enjoyable. Particular the beef dish at the end! Portion was large, but the slow cooked beef strip was incredibly tender and full of flavour! Foie gras on top was a bit too big for my liking but did magic when I use that as a "dipping sauce" for the steak. 

The toffee pudding was a great way to end the meal too, rich but not too sweet, didn't think we can finish the entire dish but before we know it, the pudding was sitting very comfortably in our tummy. 

Great value for money, will come back again for sure!
