總體來說...呢間鋪頭的食物對我黎講係偏淡的!

We always wanted to try some restaurants in Knutsford Terrace until we found this restaurant is participating in the exxxgo deal. After a short while here comes with the Snack Platter. The portion is huge! and thankfully we didn't order anything else! I mean this does not seem like a snack at all, 2 people can barely finish this platter. I love the scotch egg and the mini burger, very tasty and not salty or greesy at all.

It was a pretty good deal considering dining in Saturday evening, even though we dined early but it was a good experience trying one of the main restaurants in Knutsford Terrace~

絲打美食團四圍亂吃,自認豬膽絲打選到鹹豬餐廳。小食選擇了炸豬皮,炸出來竟然徹徹底底的去掉了肥膏的感覺,脆是脆的,然而很硬,可能炸過了頭。招牌德國咸豬手的豬皮還好,很脆口,而豬肉甚為腍軟,配上一些薯茸酸菜,以為可以解膩,但都是淡而無味的。醬燒豬肋骨骨大肉少,兼且肉不夠軟腍,咬到頭痕,汁呈膠面但又欠香,甜味不足,差矣。再來的安格斯牛堡,期望是勁正勁飽肚的;豈料連安格斯牛都可以是乾爭爭的,乾到肉汁都無埋,超乎想像的差,麥當當的普羅漢堡更勝一籌。同類餐廳當中,可謂即比下去。

I visited this restaurant twice in the past (about a year ago). I was impressed both of the time - the food was top-notch and the service was ok. However, this time was downright terrible. I wonder if this has to do with their ongoing expansion across HK.

Let's talk about the food first:
We ordered pork ribs, which we enjoyed a lot last time around. It was succulent, tasty, and the meat was so tender. However, this time, it was god-awful - the meat was so tough, as if it were over-cooked. The complimentary fries were soft and tasteless, unlike last time's.

Also ordered the crab linguine, which was another let-down. The crab tasted nothing like crab; if you don't tell me it's crab, I would have thought it's canned tuna. Luckily, it didn't taste bad and the portion was generous.

The third dish was pork belly. The portion was so tiny. I expected so much more for that price. It was a bit too salty as well.

The last dish was paella. It was the best one among all that we had ordered. (But this place is famous for its pork, so it's mind-boggling that it's the paella that tasted the best). There is a generous amount of seafood and the rice was soft and tasted heavenly. 

In addition to the mediocre food, the service was unacceptable.

There is this ethically Chinese guy who doesn't speak Cantonese. It was obvious that he didn't want to serve anyone - he spoke without a hint of enthusiasm and acted as if he just wanted to go home. He also sounded very arrogant and rude, which was puzzling. 

Also, there is this waitress who was lost in her own world. I am not sure if she is new to this place; if she is, I would forgive her.  If she is not, then she has to be fired - she was slow, unsure about how everything works, unable to understand very clear instructions. She is not rude, just a bit dumb.

This place really needs some serious improvement. I am very disappointed by this particular dining experience. This place used to be extraordinary, but for God knows what reason, everything has deteriorated to a point where I found myself seething as soon as I left the restaurant.

能夠成為餐廳招牌菜,係做得唔錯,絕對值得叫。豬手先經慢煮24小時,再炸,表皮酥脆裏面肉軟,肉沒有乾嚡嚡的感覺,鹹度剛好,配旁邊酸椰菜一起吃,開胃。

德國豬手,就如港式燒肉一般,最重要的還是那層皮。這裡的招牌豬手,皮焗得焦脆,香口非常,不錯。肉的調味稍微偏鹹,但不算過份。肉質方面則不過不失。然而,亮點是墊底吸收了日月精華的紅蘿蔔,甜得像南瓜,但依然有著紅蘿蔔的爽脆口感,一口咬下,那油香伴隨著罪惡感,在口中縈繞不散。

我就主動叫了香蒜忌廉蟹肉意粉,這個似乎有番啲起色,雖然不是好好味的那種,但蒜氣忌廉掌握得平衡,條條蟹肉都不是求其那種,意粉當然可以拿捏得好點,不夠乾身又未夠入味,但都好過那沒有豬手靈魂的豬手。

四個人飲兩round,食兩個main dishes,就盛惠兩百幾,你說正常價,我覺得還可以吧,飲杯酒是可以,但吃餐較decent的晚餐,似乎尖沙咀的飲食高級聯賽,未有資格打入吧。
