三人夜攝中環,之後來到銅鑼灣搵食。友人介紹來到越華會。點了沙薑雞、生炒骨、清炒豆苗、豉油王炒麵、半打生力。沙薑雞,十分普通,普通地差生炒骨,好味道!肉粉比例剛剛好,汁的酸甜度又剛剛好!清炒豆苗,菜夠新鮮,不老。豉油王炒麵,老友話是這裡出名的,全店近乎每桌都有一碟;的確不錯!

My guests wanted a dinner of typical HK seafood and I thought this restaurant would not disappoint. We arrived early as 2 of them had to catch a late flight back to London and Sydney. Crab was of course Typhoon Shelter Crab which is a specialty of HK. This restaurants serves it really nicely, the garlic and chili does not cover the sweet taste of the crab and the crab was not dry after frying. This was $360


The waiter suggested soy sauce prawns as he saw 3 Westerners among us, he said they will love it. It arrived late and they said they were full but loved it after trying


I asked for an inexpensive steam fish and they offered a garoupa for $200. It was fresh and soft even though not one of the famous types of garoupa. We had it with rice and was happy with it

Kai Lan with Chinese sausage and dried meat was really fragrant when it arrived. I could smell the Chinese wine mixed with ginger, they didn't like the meat but I did. My London colleague said kai lan is one of her favourite vegetables


Fried scallops with broccoli, a typical Gweilo dish. I tried one piece of scallop and it was fried till golden and full of wok hei.

Soy sauce fried noodles. A sure win and it was although not as nice as the same dish at Manor House

All the portions were quite big and every dish had its fans. By the time we left at 8:30p.m, the place was packed and getting a bit noisy but the guests liked the local energetic atmosphere. It was a really successful evening and a really good place to bring out of town guests.

昨晚我的大学校友请我去越华会吃海鲜。很爱吃这家的椒盐螃蟹。很大,蟹肉也很鲜美。就是螃蟹吃起来不是很方便。一位朋友笑称:you need to work hard to get the good stuff. 炸豆腐我不是很喜欢,觉得没什么味道。不过炸虾还是很好吃的。总体来说值得推荐。

好幾年沒有光顧, 以前己經覺得要食避風糖炒蟹這類食品, 這間會是我的推介。現在環境好了, 然而食物水準也沒有變。我們是來慶祝朋友的生日, 因為其中有朋友有孕, 我們點的海鮮其實不多。因為不是負責點菜, 所以菜名也不太清楚, 包括: 黃金蝦 避風塘炒蟹黃金豆腐魚柳排骨乳鴿蝦米節瓜除了蟹比較辣外, 其他我都覺得很美味。還要一讚的是, 侍應的服務也不錯, 幫我們拍照外, 看到我們切蛋糕, 他們行過都會八卦兩句, 十分友善。

好幾年沒有光顧, 以前己經覺得要食避風糖炒蟹這類食品, 這間會是我的推介。

現在環境好了, 然而食物水準也沒有變。

我們是來慶祝朋友的生日, 因為其中有朋友有孕, 我們點的海鮮其實不多。因為不是負責點菜, 所以菜名也不太清楚, 包括:

避風塘炒蟹
黃金豆腐
魚柳
排骨
乳鴿
蝦米節瓜

除了蟹比較辣外, 其他我都覺得很美味。

還要一讚的是, 侍應的服務也不錯, 幫我們拍照外, 看到我們切蛋糕, 他們行過都會八卦兩句, 十分友善。

Snail in Chili oil

The snail was not really chili but the meat of the snail was cooked just right not too rare and not to hard.... it was chewy and soft in the inside

Sea Shell scallop with rice noodle

My personal favorite~ yum.....

Some kind of shellfish in chili bean curd sauce

It's the first time having this kind of shellfish never seem it before, the shell look a little like the bamboo shoot and it was nice too.

Fisherman style Crab (Mile Chili)

It's really nice with rice, but if by itself it's a little too salty.

Deep Fry Tofu
Presentation was nice and the tofu it's really smooth inside and crisp on the outside.

My parent and I was impress by the skill the chief have, even though the dishes did not come out quick, but when you finish one dish the next one will be ready to serve..... I'm guessing there are only one or two chief doing the cooking and it's all freshly made.

The food here is great and fantastic and reasonably priced, definitely one of the best food restaurant around. However, place is cramp (not enough space to sit comfortably) and noisy, eat and go type of place as the restaurant is very crowded and the wait staff cant wait to get rid of you, so that they can seat the next group of customers.Must eat :1. Stir fry clams2. Sweet Sour Pork 3. Fried TaofuReservations is a must as they are always fully booked.

Our family went there tonight and we had a satisfied meal there. Their fried tofu, spring onion chicken were the best among the other dishes.Fried oysters were expensive and 'so-so' - their were too salted and the bitter guard with egg white was just too oily. For the water melon soup, it was OK, not grealy impressed. Good for a group of people going there.

很多從新加坡來的朋友都話越華會海鮮好出名,上星期和友人由銅鑼灣向灣仔方向揾地方吃飯時,經過越華會,就入去試下.. 晚上九時多,算得上坐無虛席,只有一張細枱上放了Reserved,服務生問了我們人數後,就話可以先給'Reserved的枱給我們 ???環境OK很光鮮,友人話以前比較平民點,都不知是多久以前,我也不去考究,服務生送上熱茶及腰果魚仔一碟. 我們只點了 :油鹽水大蜆 - 買相都幾吸引有粉絲有蔥白,隻隻蜆都有肉,size都好平均,,油鹽水 ???? 蜆內的湯有濃濃的胡椒味,時間掌握得好好,不會太老仲好有鮮味,但就不像油鹽水烹飪,吃了三份一時,我的後頸出現了有點像蚊咬的現象......後記......胡椒蟹煲 - 期待的蟹煲 終於出場了,可惜上枱時不是熱得好像有聲的煲,蟹是有羔的,但卻是一隻毫無做過運動的蟹,肉質鬆鬆的,胡椒只是一種點綴罷没有給發揮上,吃不到胡椒味..... 過高期望的胡椒蟹煲後話...回家途上已察覺有點不對勁.. 回到家全身都出了風"爛"第二天,面部腫如豬頭,醫生話是海鮮敏感(完全個人問題),友人安然無恙
