6 of us for dinner. What struck us as we walked to our table was how dark it was inside the restaurant.素鵝 as appetizer.Half order of Peking duck. Skin was crispy as they flamed it in front of us.Poorly cut, thick chunks of bland tasting meat.Pork ribs. No different from the one made by my helper at home.4 季豆- soooooo spicy. 4 季豆- soooooo spicy. Although it is fair to expect a little bit of spiciness for this dish, this was off the charts hot.
Mentioned to server, who replied that if we couldn’t take spicy, we should note that the 醉雞煲 that we ordered was also gonna be spicy. Looked at the menu again, where it was not mentioned anywhere that 醉雞煲 was spicy. Not would ppl be able to assume from its name. Cancelled just in time.
手斯鴨炒麵 came next. Someone thought it was udon. I love udon, so no complaints from me.
津白 with ham came next.
Then came the 生煎包. Someone mentioned it’s prob the best dish of the nite. I begged to differ. Base was too thin n not crispy.
Couldn’t decide on dessert so agreed not to bother. Why waste further my precious quota…
