突然間想食餃子, 上嚟openrice見到呢間係第一間pop up 嘅, 又咁近屋企, 不用多想就過嚟lu ...
好好彩唔使等, 不過冇白菜餃 ..... 最終2個人叫了10隻韭菜湯餃 + 10隻雲耳椰菜煎餃.
這晚人是蠻多的, 坐滿店之餘, 亦不時有人叫外賣. 但我們的食物大慨10分鐘便上菜了.
其實韭菜餃料很足, 味道亦如一般廣東餃子, 豬肉應該沒有太多調味. 個人認為如湯是較濃味的話, 那便最好 .... 可惜湯較淡, 讓湯餃一味較為遜色 ....
但雲耳椰菜餃很香, 雖然豬肉調味不太夠, 但有店家的辣醬補足, 雖然有點辣, 但和煎餃好搭配.
還是會期待下次再來可試白菜餃.
It's not easy when you want dumplings and JUST dumplings, just where you can go when you want dumplings and nothing else?
Well this place pops up on the top when I searched on this site, and with the added benefit that it is close to my home. It was an easy decision.
They sat us quickly and well ..... no bok choy dumpling. We settled with leek soup dumplings and cabbage w/ woodear potstickers - 10 pcs ea.
The food came in ard 10 minutes, which was quite fast with a packed restaurant with quite a lot of people came by for take away.
The dumplings are very well stuffed (?), I meant there were a lot of fillings inside each dumpling. The leek dumplings would have tasted good if the soup had a strong, porky flavor since their soup base is a pork bone soup w/ some kind of herb. However, the soup was rather blend and this was a disappointment.
The potsticker, on the other hand, smelled really good, but was only tasty when we ate it with their house hot sauce, which was one of kind. A bit spicy but a tasy addition to the dumplings and potsticker.
I think the biggest thing that let us down was the fact that usually the Cantonese way of making dumpling doesn't have the habit of marinating the pork inside the dumpling tasty, and this is why I didn't really like the dumplings much this time. However I think if I ordered leek dumplings as potstickers, I would love them.
Now I will return here someday, but only to try to bok choy dumplings ....
