This old restaurant is situated inside an old building in TST. The signage and everything was old. I felt like I traveled back to the 1970s.Of course we ordered the Peking duck which was not bad. The pancake was thicker and more chewy than the ones you would normally get in HK. I liked that texture although some of my friends didn't really appreciate that. It all went downhill after the duck. The prawns were in thick and soggy batter and it's like it's been sitting there for days already.

Of course we ordered the Peking duck which was not bad. The pancake was thicker and more chewy than the ones you would normally get in HK. I liked that texture although some of my friends didn't really appreciate that.

It all went downhill after the duck. The prawns were in thick and soggy batter and it's like it's been sitting there for days already. Worse still, it's completely tasteless and dry. We all just had one bite and then left the whole dish untouched.

The shredded beef in pita bread was also disgusting. The shredded beef was like beef jerky. It's so hard that I thought I was eating toothpicks.

Oh my god, this whole place is just not worth it. I wonder why it has survived for so long.

Obviously, it's a place for tourists as it brings them back to the Hong Kong in 1970's or 1960's and it would be an interesting experience for them but I hope they would not think this is a typical Hong Kong restaurant. Avoids if you can.

是晚朋友生日飯, 一行6人,八點一個字去到,等齊人大概八點四點菜,一嘗老字號店,食物味道係唔錯,不過真係唔係特別好, 我相信好食過佢嘅真係仲有好多間,只想講服務真係十分差!!!!其實唔係平,仲要睇你面色,成餐飯兩位應該係資深嘅員工企正隔離,係咁望住我地食嘢嘅進度,每一碟差唔多食完就幫我地夾起晒去其中一人嘅碗,咁佢就可以收碟喇,食個雲吞雞我一食完又倒俾我,食完又倒俾我,我連續食左三碗,當然係因為佢又可以快啲收起佢喇。成餐飯全程望留意著我地,真係好唔自在😑最離譜就係我地叫左個火腿津白,我竟然食到粒直不甩嘅釘書釘omg😱😱相都未影得切,其中一位資深員工已經成碟拎走兼毀屍滅跡!仲話唔收我地哩碟餸嘅錢。仲有我以為佢地收十一點,10:25pm 已經熄咁一啲燈,哩個時候,我地叫資深員工加加水,加好之後,友人倒左杯水俾自己,好快那位資深員工將我地整胡水拎走埋😤😤😤仲要叫我地快啲食,佢話佢要收野==,好似趕我地走咁,真係激到成肚氣! 為免影響友人生日心情,我先無爆出泥。順帶一提,雖然佢地唔收切餅費,所以佢地係無雪蛋糕嘅服務嘅,佢地只會幫你keep起你個蛋糕喺佢地個水吧度。真係百思不得其解仲有咁多人幫襯,

食左十幾年皮片鴨,食來食去都係鹿鳴春最好食,沒有肥膏,肉質鮮嫩加彈牙,食鴨必定係呢度其他菜餚夠晒特色。座位寬敞,環境寧靜,最重要係唔趕客,食飽飽傾下計,伙計仲會斟埋茶水啤酒,咁好服務邊度搵

因為約左屋企長輩食飯,所以揀一間老字號中式菜館。鹿嗚春最出名的是片皮鴨,相信鴨係即叫即燒,需要d時間等候。亦會全隻鴨推至客人桌前才切片,確保無偷功減料鴨皮很脆,肉質合格,雖然油較多(鴨很肥😂😂😂),但餐廳用既係厚皮,亦較為吸油。因為用厚皮,所以女食客的話好快就會飽。然後嗌多籠小籠包。小籠包對於我而言,最著緊的只係夾起時,包底會唔會痴住張紙,會唔會一夾就穿。只要溫度夠,味道一般唔會出事。而今次皮身較厚唔易穿,可以品嚐埋包入面既湯汁。

晚飯去了鹿嗚春,真是很多年沒有來過這裡了!平日訂位容易D,但都坐滿!裝修格局都很舊式!花生,酸甜椰菜作開胃前菜!Hubby至愛煙燻素鵝拼燻魚素鵝ok,但燻魚骨多肉散!鍋鎉魚塊,做得很好,魚件內加了荀捲超沾粉來炸,醬汁小小辣,很好吃!乾炒牛肉絲,配埋燒餅一同吃。成品有點像牛肉乾!很有爵口!吃完後,牙齒有點軟!整體水準有點失望!

一段時間沒有去過鹿鳴春,是晚跟中學同學一行六人在那裡飯聚,平日晚市依然滿座。先來我點的冷盤素鵝,煙燻很香,這種煙燻的香味在其他地方很難吃得到。火腿津白煮得夠入味。好友說她之前吃過後一直念念不忘的爆牛肉,帶辣的,幸好不算太辣。爆牛肉最好配叉子燒餅。主角北京填鴨來了,水準依舊,不過個人認為薄餅過厚了,太鮑肚呢。甜品時間,我點的豆沙窩餅。還有拔絲蘋果,很好吃啊!

This night we had our family gathering in this old beijing cusine restaurant. There are a total 12 of us so we ordered a set dinner (sorry I forgot the price at all!)First there is a shark fin soup, and I really don't encourage anyone to order this in fact. I gave it a one-star not becasue it taste bad, but for the environment. First there is a shark fin soup, and I really don't encourage anyone to order this in fact. I gave it a one-star not becasue it taste bad, but for the environment. In fact all my family members said it tastes super good and the volume of shark fin is very generous, but i suggest everyone to order other soup. I believe they will taste good as same as it does!

After that there are assorted marinated platter. There are marinated beef, duck, tofu and my favorite jellyfish! All the meat are well-flavored and absorb all the flavours of the sauce. Jellyfish is also very tasty with a crispy texture.

Stir-fried shrimp is also one of my favorite dishes here. The shimps taste light and refreshing, and you can tell the shrimps are extremely fresh and tender.

Scrambled egg white with crab meat. Personally i dont quite like this dish becasue it is a bit oily and greasy. As i know to cook a good scrambled egg white with crab meat, putting in tons of oil is a somehow unavoidable, but a good dish shouldn't like so oily if the chef are skillful enough.

This dish is called 叉子燒餅 sesame pockets with sauteed minced beef. The shredded beef is quite salty but it comes perfect with the pocket, which is crispy and making great taste.

Then it comes to my favourite dish throughout the night! Beijing Duck here is not skin only, it is also served with some meat. Skin is crispy and FAT, meat remains very soft. Some other restaurants tends to serve only skin but to me the is a perfect balance between skin and meat. Served with chinese pancake, chinese leek, sweet sauce, this beijing duck is definitely a must try item here!

Sweet and sour fish is also very tasty! Another highlight of the night. The fish is first fried to perfection, with a crispy and flaky skin while the fish meat is still so soft and tender. The sauce is also very refreshing!

Last but not least, the 高力豆沙 red bean paste souffle balls, gives a great sweet end to the dinner!

Now let's turned to food, we ordered the set menu for up to 8 people and added 3 extra dishes. Our group had 5 guys and 8 ladies; comparatively, the group can consume a reasonable amount, and the portion sizes exceeded our requirements.

1) Pre staters (slightly salted soft beans and cabbages soaked in vinger)

As with Northern Chinese cuisine, they start with cold sides to "open the appetite", the taste and texture of both very excellent, however, they served the same size portion for a table of 6 and a table of 13, which to my mind was a little disappointing.

2) Mix platter (cured roast pork, jellyfish and vegetarian duck)

The platter is served with a flavoured soy source mixed with the seasoning of the pork and a light mustard. The mustard didn't really go well and amongst the group, we felt this may not be the authentic way. The jellyfish was nice and chewy and well flavoured. Vegetarian duck were filled with crisp and lightly cooked veg, mainly carrots, wrapped with beancurd skin, a light taste, but excellent texture.

3) Stirred fried fresh shrimps

The shrimps were coated with a light layer of corn flour and maybe soda, the flesh was clearly not fresh. However, can't really fault them, flavour was good and the name of the dish didn't state they will use fresh shrimps.

4) Sharks fin in chicken soup

Without doubt, this is one of the attractions we came for; the pot was huge, enough for 1.5 servings of 13, so mathematically, more than 2 per person for an 8 person set menu. The soup was just fantastic, thick, rich and not oily. They had a whole medium sized chicken inside and sufficient sharks fun to share. Nearly everyone wanted more. On the not so positive note, it was eaten with some hard buns, as it came with the set, they served the standard 4 (i.e. half per person); I personally felt they could have offered another 2 buns as a gesture of service. The buns were plain, and designed to soak the soup, but none of the group felt it was a good match, so no lost there for only having a small bite to go with the soup.

5) Peking duck

The second highlight of the evening! The chef sliced the duck in front of us, and watching the mastery was a good experience. As standard, it was served with pastry, cucumbers, spring onions and Hoi Sin sauce. The pastry was very interesting, it was freshly made, but it was very thick and floury! I personally preferred thinner pastry and so did others. the spring onions were not sliced equally, and once again, I felt they could have served an few extra slices of pastry given the numbers. The meat was juicy and Hoi Sin sauce was slightly warmed, a pat on the back for not serving cold sauce straight out of the fridge. Overall, a little disappointing!

6) Peppered Chinese perch

A very very well fried fish, crispy on the outside and juicy meat in the inside, timing was perfect! The sauce was a sweet and sour, similar to the sauce used in Shanghainese version of Sweet and Sour fish without the pine nuts! It was not as strong in taste, so less vinegary; but the sour was a little sticky, too much corn flour! Overall, good dish, but not exciting!

7) Chinese mushrooms with seasonal vegetables

The dish was purposely named so that they can use any vegetable they desire, as broccoli is not really a Chinese veg! I would have thought Green Pak Choi or Kale would more appropriate. The mushrooms were soaked well, easy to chew and had a nice mosit texture.

8) Petaled veg dumplings

A surprise to me, the fragrance of the veg was astonishing, very rich, very well filled, and the pastry was good, came out nice and hot, straight from the steamer! The only disappointment was that the waiter couldn't confirm what vegetables were inside the filling! We all tasted spinach and broccoli, but I found the taste more complex and felt there could have been spring onions, kale and Chinese cabbage!

9) Grilled pork knuckle & lamb ( not part of the set )

A lovely crispy skin, similar to a Chinese Roast pork, the meat was juicy, and cut into nice size chunks!

The lamb was soft and they somehow managed to remove some of the game smell that some people find disturbing! It came with a sauce which I'm guessing was used to marinate the meat. A soy sauce base with some spices and maybe Worcester sauce.

10) The dessert - Bean paste doughnuts

Warm and soft, very well made, not too sweet and the bean paste was rich in flavour. One of the best I've had!

In conclusion, $340 per head including 3 bottles of beer is not bad for an authentic Chinese dinner! Small elements of disappointment, but worth the soup, lamb and dumplings were well worth it.

到清炒蝦仁,個味OK但係漿左D,又唔上醋有D奇怪。白飯既飯比較淋,唔亁身。

總括黎講,呢間京菜唔會再黎。因為食物難食同冇咩賣相,根本就冇興趣影相。

Waiter又唔知點解冇咩禮貌,成日過黎騷擾你,搬下你D碟呀咁,好多時傾緊計都俾佢打斷話題。服務唔好。野食偏貴,有D覺得簡直收的太貴,一定唔會再黎,寫呢篇野係唔想大家俾呢間餐廳呃。

京燒羊肉, 這個係另外點的, 我見食評話好好味, 好多人都會叫, 所以叫左一個例牌試下, 好香呀,例牌都唔少喎, 羊肉好淋身, 又唔會好酥, 但好好味, 唔可以話係JUICY, 但係真的好淋, 又有一種好香的配料味, 羊肉都好入味, 又容易食, 真的好正.

這一餐實在太豐富呀, 不停的食, 好滿足呀, 仕應服務都好好, 因為真的好旺場, 但我們有一個蛋糕, 呢度係唔收切餅費的, 雖然冇幫我們雪入雪櫃, 但都KEEP起, 同埋都有提供碟俾我們, 又唔會限我們食完要快D離開.
