Been hearing alot about this new restaurant so I decided to give it a try, i live around the area so it was easy to find.The restaurant is known for its 24 month parmesan cheese wheel, which was good but was not the highlight of the meal. The parmesan cheese pasta was good, full of cheese flavor, but i felt that it was a bit rough as maybe the cheese wasnt melted well enough? We then had the seafood handmade pasta. This itself was the best pasta dish i ever had in Hong Kong. From the fresh seafood, to the handmade pasta the dish was a steal. There was so much fresh seafood flavor, and the chewiness of the homemade pasta was a delight. If this was sold at sabatini, giando, or any other italian establishment, it would probably be half its portion and double its price - probably wouldnt taste as good too!
Short ribs were ok, sauce was on the sweet side as the base is balsamic vinigrette but the short rib had so much flavor and could have fed 4 people! Really good price vs value.
Lastly, we shared the French Onion Soup. I've been trying to find a place with good onion soup in HK for years and have finally found one. The bread is thickly slice, with lots of gooey cheese. The soup itself is so flavorful once the cheese is mixed in! They definitely thought about balancing flavors since the cheese is salty! So good that I want one now!!
The venue itself is very comfortable, can tell that they spent alot of time and effort into the design. The terrace is beautiful and will be perfect during autumn / winter, but right now it is too hot.
The only bad thing I would write is that the food wait time is a bit long, it was quite busy, kitchen is small, and i know its new, but food is way beyond good, wine list is acceptable. I just hope they improve the food time cause at one point i had to wait between 20-30 minutes between a course (Thats why im giving service a low rating)
Going to go back within the next 2 weeks! Highly highly recommend
