I have heard good things about this place. I was glad when my friend suggested to have lunch here.The lunch menu is simple so it was easy to choose! I ordered the egg with mayonnaise and herring caviar for starter. It was delicious! For main course, I ordered duck confit which was flavorful. Both courses were kinda sinful 😅My friend ordered the prawn cocktail and grilled fish fillet. The healthier options 😁Food was simple but good!

Food is is ok, but service can be improved.1. When I arrived the waitress asked me to scan the "QR code" from the wall( this is normal and she was just doing her job, which I totally understand). I asked her if there is the possibility to leave my contact details on paper, the waitress said only the option of the app is available. I didn't expect this at all when even entering museums you have the option to fill your data in paper and before entering they will call your phone number to verify yo

I didn't expect this at all when even entering museums you have the option to fill your data in paper and before entering they will call your phone number to verify you are giving real information.
Honestly, if it wasn't because my friends wanted to try this restaurant I would have left and go to another French restaurant as there are several in Hong Kong and similar price range.
2. They don't serve water, if you want water you need to order it and it will be billed as they dont serve Tap water, totally understand the restaurant support sustainability but I think a serving a glass of water without any charge is acceptable specially when the price of the dishes are not cheap.
3. The minimum space between tables it wasn't happening. So they force you to scan the "QR code" but the space between tables they dont follow! They didn't even have the transparent dividers... come on, even the local noodles restaurants have the dividers...
4. The waitresses would come every 15 min to check if you have finished the dishes, luckly they didnt ask until you really finish it, but their presence coming and going time to time it was kinda annoying.
I wouldnt say the restaurant and food is amazing, is just ok, as I have been in other restaurants similar as this one where the lunch menu price is similar and environment and service is better than this one.

One of the best french bistros in town! The menu is quite extensive, it took us some time to finally decide what to order.. - classic beef tartare - coquille saint jacques (Scallop)- Rossini de boeuf (beef tenderloin, pan fried foie gras with truffle sauce) - passion fruit cream brûlée I love all the dishes we ordered, the most impressive dish would be the scallop, the butternut purée totally blew my mind away! One of the best french bistros in town!

The menu is quite extensive, it took us some time to finally decide what to order..
- classic beef tartare
- coquille saint jacques
(Scallop)
- Rossini de boeuf (beef tenderloin, pan fried foie gras with truffle sauce)
- passion fruit cream brûlée

I love all the dishes we ordered, the most impressive dish would be the scallop, the butternut purée totally blew my mind away!
Everything was just so on point . The passion fruit cream brûlée was sooo delicious too, $78 for 3!
Everything was incredibly good yet the price tag is really affordable!

Definitely wanna come back again to try their other dishes.

以為淨係嗌咗兩個前菜,一個主菜會唔夠飽,點知個主菜係個煎鵝肝加牛肉又係好膩一碟菜。佢嘅伴菜有焗香咗嘅栗子好好味,好有驚喜嘅伴菜,應該話佢係啲細節位都有擺心機。

💡整體嚟講 食物質素很不錯😋
很有法國餐館的味道 而且午市價格相對上比較抵食🤩
但環境比較嘈吵同逼 沒有悠閑嘆法國菜的感覺
係之後啲人走晒先至feel到😂
如果唔鍾意太多人迫埋一齊 最好避開繁忙時間~

Bouillon經常聽到朋友推介這間在上環的法國餐廳但是因為平時Booking都比較full最終今次第一次光臨果然沒有令我失望。食物質素,環境衛生也是絕頂基本上都諗唔到唔好的地方

Love the decor, good selection of wine.  Sadly though l won't be heading back.  Four of us dining at Bouillion, three of us ordered starters and all came separately.    My eggplant dish was a slop on the plate.  Frog's legs, 4 bodies on a plate as a starter with brown sauce and no garnish.   Mixed green salad, romaine sliced super finely  with a nut dressing and sprinkle of parmesan, something l can toss at home!  However, my 6 small escargots cooking in oil and herbs were petite and good as a s

Love the decor, good selection of wine.  Sadly though l won't be heading back.  Four of us dining at Bouillion, three of us ordered starters and all came separately.    My eggplant dish was a slop on the plate.  Frog's legs, 4 bodies on a plate as a starter with brown sauce and no garnish.   Mixed green salad, romaine sliced super finely  with a nut dressing and sprinkle of parmesan, something l can toss at home!  However, my 6 small escargots cooking in oil and herbs were petite and good as a starter.

Wasn't impressed how the Western waitress was dressed in a crop top and white jeans, bit too much flesh shown for my liking in a restaurant.

第一次同老婆仔去上環依一間法國餐廳食lunch,好彩佢預先有訂位,一去到就可馬上入座。依間位於荷里活道的法國餐廳,只容納到大約30位左右,裝潢亦簡單整潔,餐牌就只有英文同法文。我地俾安排坐在吧頭,坐吧頭嘅樂趣就係可以一路食一路睇廚師整野。我哋就叫左兩個lunch set,前菜係ouef mayo &caviar ,一口魔鬼蛋加濃郁的蛋黃醬配上魚子醬,簡單而清新口感。Terrine de foie gras,自家製鵝肝醬加上新鮮紅莓jam配上麵包,一絕。主菜就有beef tartar ,法國傳統菜之一,味道層次豐富的生牛肉,值得一試。Lamb confit &mash potato ,油浸羊肉配上薯茸,會有少少羊騷味,喜歡食羊嘅會較易接受。最後,我地叫左個芝士拼盤同埋dessert of the day, passion fruit cream burlee,係幾有驚喜的,香滑焦糖燉蛋加埋熱情果的芬香,做結尾係最好的。整體黎講,依間法國菜係可以回頭,但就係嘈左啲。。。

賣相好特別,用咗熱情果殼整焦糖燉蛋🥰 但最期待嘅甜品反而最失望🥺 先講下其實以熱情果甜品黎講,算係好濃味同好香❤️ 不過以焦糖燉蛋黎講,就無乜蛋味😢 雲尼嗱香又比熱情果嘅酸味蓋過😭 一份有兩件,都算幾抵嘅🤣

- 不過侍應係完全沒介紹每對蠔係邊到來,邊對開始食先。。。

- 賣相一睇,同垃圾崗沒分別。我自己屋企煮飯擺盤都比佢好。

I have made reservations 2 weeks ahead and I could not believe they offered a bar table instead of a proper table for dinner. Anyhow, they managed to give us a table after we requested. This 350g beef striploin stockyard Wagyu A7 wasnt up to our expectation. It was such a big disappointment that it was far beyond the texture of tender that wagyu should have. Not recommending this!!!

Overall speaking, the food quality was solely average. The food was served quite fast and felt so pushy. The waitress came every 15-20 mins to ‘check’ and interrupt, which was quite annoying. It was a recent popular restaurant but I wouldn’t expect the service to be at this standard.

星期五超多人去食午餐,座無虛席。午餐餐牌略加了小小價錢,$228 (前菜加主菜)。我們特意選擇三個不同的菜式來試。首先試了魚子配雞蛋,好淸新,超多mayo醬。跟住我們試了來白Britanny的法國生蠔,好新鮮,帶有濃郁的海水味。我們繼續試試檸汁醃魚生,魚生都新鮮,汁沒有南美洲的酸,但十分清新,食到爽脆的青蘋果絲,還以為是青芒果。這個terrine de fois gras 勁多酒味,十分濃郁的酒after taste. 主菜我們叫了beef tartare同煮牛肉來分享。Beef tartare好新鮮,有水準。反而煮牛肉就比較韌,如果佢塊牛肉可以霖些就好了。甜品Dessert of today,我們選擇了Creme brulee來試,食完十分飽。

Almost every dish was excellent! 
 I especially loved the juicy scallops in the buttery cream sauce with essence of truffle. 
 The yellow wine sauce of the chicken was mouth-watering too, and I couldn't stop dipping my fries in it. 
 It was a perfect combination. However, the chicken itself was a bit on the dry side. The salad had a nice touch of wasabi  arugula and olive oil, but the texture of octopus was a bit chewy. It needed some work on the flavors as well. 
  The passionfruit crème brulee was a bit sour for my liking. I prefer the original version. 
My friend loved the classic Beef Tartare which was flavorful and well balanced with the egg yolk 
 He could finish that dish on his own!


Dinner for 2 people (with a bottle of wine) was : HK$2132.


Overall, a great place to check out for casual French cuisine. I would love to come back next time to try their steak!
