入正題評論一下食物質素。食物上枱既次序唔係好跟Menu,先係嚟咗個香辣薯仔粒、椰奶醬拌青口蜆肉同埋醋漬芒果菠蘿🥭🍍

青口蜆肉好新鮮,海鮮味配埋佢既椰奶醬汁係超級好食!我仲特登叫佢留返啲椰奶醬汁俾我送飯食 ☺️

其餘兩個Starters係啲地道嘅斯里蘭卡小食。

個醋漬芒果菠蘿真係辣到流水口(真心),應該改名做口水芒果菠蘿🌶🌶🌶,反而香辣薯仔粒就唔係好辣。不過我覺得要尊重餐廳廚師既背景同文化,餐廳應該保留佢嘅獨特性,唔好因為要遷就客人而改變調味,所以辣到流口水是正常的!

然後就上左個蟹肉炒餅。蟹肉絲、椰菜、Naan炒埋一碟,真心覺得好特別!亦都冇諗過會咁好食,口感好似切碎咗嘅Taco一樣 🌮 如果世界上所有Wrap or Taco都可以咁樣Serve就唔洗食到成手醬汁 🤭 口感真係好得意,值得一試。

到主角Jaffana Crab 🦀 老實講有少少失望。
隻蟹睇落好龐大,點知原來得個殼,打開啲肉得殻既一半,期待左一整日見到隻蟹有啲傷心。相片睇落隻蟹鉗好大,其實蟹肉得一半 <<<有一種建築面積很大,實用面積卻很少既感覺> >> 😭😭😭 對於一個食開海鮮既人黎講,一開隻蟹就知咸水養到瘦晒 🦀 醬汁嘅調味, 完美覆蓋左隻蟹嘅唔新鮮,ig啲Foodie成日都收咗錢呃人 🤥

我覺得最出色嘅係椰香飯,有椰香味同時米飯粒粒粒分明,配埋青口既椰奶醬!一絕!🥴

餐廳侍應好似對酒冇乜了解。諗住食重味海鮮飲杯Sour & Foggy既白酒,一支大概$500,都預左佢食水深架啦,不過開心食蟹無所謂,點知隻蟹咁瘦 🥲 希望餐廳睇到個食評,幫啲蟹增肥,咁我下次先再幫襯啦。

Kothu係斯里蘭卡好傳統嘅街頭小食!將軟熟嘅薄餅切條,加入蔬菜絲、大量香料等炒成。呢到嘅kothu面頭仲舖左隻超靚嘅太陽蛋。薄餅索左汁之後,口感竟然變得煙韌而唔係腍啤啤,幾得意喎。隱藏其中嘅4隻蝦超鮮超彈牙!但整體都幾辣下,不妨撈埋蛋汁一齊食,濕潤啲又解下辣

又一斯里蘭卡signature美食!圓碗狀嘅薄餅 四圍薄脆,中間鬆軟煙韌 口感有啲少少雞蛋糕。店員教路可以好狂野咁用手摵成細細塊 蘸中間嘅蛋汁又得,蘸 Crabs Galore嘅咖哩汁亦得!得左!

Came here for dinner to celebrate anniversary. Ordered one fried roti with crab and a main small crab dish. Two cocktails are ok. And a bottle of mineral water. HK$1200? Totally not worth it. Crab is tasty but way too small. Much smaller than what the waiter told us when I asked if it’s like the one in the tank on display. What’s annoying is after the bill came, a waitress brought two glasses of cava telling us it’s free from OpenRice. Why didn’t you present this earlier? So we could order and p

What’s annoying is after the bill came, a waitress brought two glasses of cava telling us it’s free from OpenRice. Why didn’t you present this earlier? So we could order and pay for the cocktails? Honestly we didn’t care about the free alcohol, just toasted and didn’t even finish but it’s just annoying. Also the bill came with an extra “donation to Pakistan”. No one asked us before it’s added to the bill. When the bill came the waiter asked if we are willing to make a donation. There’s a 10% service charge on the donation, too! Again, don’t care about a few dollars but just annoyed.
Also don’t wear light color clothes because the crab has sauce that splashes around when you try to crack it open.

Black Sheep集團是由兩位南亞的商人開創的連鎖飲食集團, 所以對它的南亞菜, 例如是印度菜餐廳的New Punjab Club及Rajasthan Rifles, 也會相當有信心. 今次我們吃的Hotal Colombo是主打印度隔離的斯里蘭卡菜, 還以為它是以小菜及咖喱為主的家常菜餐廳, 但原來它主打蟹宴, 人均四百多元有蟹, 有Carbo, 有前菜, 也有三道小菜, 比起不少主打吃大閘蟹的食肆更為抵食.斯里蘭卡的土產泥蟹, 最出名的是牠的超巨型蟹鉗, 其尺寸可以媲美一隻普通的大閘蟹, 相當多肉, 拿起上手好像吃雞脾的感覺, 肉質細緻而且鮮味十足. 其他部份除了同樣啖啖肉外, 外殼較薄, 要處理也不會太狼狽. 用上黑椒汁處理, 微辣但胡椒香味濃厚, 也帶有奶油的甜滑, 無論是伴蟹, 伴飯還是伴Naan吃, 也相當可口吸引.小菜的青口和蜆肉以椰奶醬煮成, 口感順滑, 不辣但仍然帶咖喱香味, 青口和蜆肉去沙充足, 吃起來肉質飽滿, 同樣地不錯. 另一道是雞肉碎配上酸醃菜, 味道濃烈得多, 又酸又辣, 上面荷包蛋的蛋汁將所有食材黏合起來, 另有一番風味. 炎炎夏日, 吃完熱辣辣的美

Hotal Colombo is famous for her mud crab. The size of crab here is very huge with the crab claws are equal to the size of a normal crab. Using black pepper sauce is very delicious and can be fitted with crab or naan or rice. The set dinner with big crabs, two appetizer and three side dishes costed around HKD $450 per head which is cheaper than many HK restaurant eating hairy crab.

店外粉紅雜貨鋪已經是中環熱門打卡點,裡面係隱藏的特色斯里蘭菜。Lamb Kari $128鍾意食羊肉嘅朋友就唔好錯過。羊羶味濃郁,炆到好軟熟,入口即化。本身重味既咖喱都難以蓋過羊肉味,反而成為完美搭配。Paratha $48搭配Lamb kari既主食。強烈蛋香味,外層煎到焦焦脆脆,外脆內軟。除了Paratha,餐廳提供飯,薯條等主食給食客選擇。Egg Hopper with Kiri Hodi & Pol Sambol $88Hopper係又米粉&椰奶製成的薄身碗餅,中間有著一個半熟雞蛋。一個來自斯里蘭卡的特色菜。薄身的蛋餅,焦脆外側。一片片撕下包住椰子碎+洋蔥碎,再點上椰奶漿。椰香和蛋香都完美配合釋放出來。Chili Garlic Tiger Prawns $148虎蝦係蝦型中最大既一種。蝦身有我手掌咁大。虎蝦肉厚清甜,而且較易吸收。香辣蒜頭汁完全融入肉身。入口已經感覺到蝦的鮮味,咀嚼後辣味出來,惹味十足。中環特色菜來講價錢合理,味道絕對對得住個價錢。

First time to explore the Sri Lanka flavours, very much like a mix of Indian and Malaysian, had a feeling that the dishes are same same but different. Was an ok experience but the signature hopper (last photo) was simply a plain pancake but costs hkd88... pricy and not worth it. Rest are OK, but didn't make me want to visit again

It was a delight to find a unique culinary gem in the city area. The restaurant offers a Sri Lankan dining experience. I was impressed on how they presented their dishes in a very sophisticated manner. The foods look and taste good. I enjoyed the bacon and egg hopper! Definitely a must try in Hong Kong. The service team were very accommodating.

粉紅復古雜貨店是中環Soho的一個打卡熱點. 粉紅外雜貨店背後原來隱藏着一家特色斯里蘭卡菜餐廳 - Hotal Colombo.餐廳主打多款斯里蘭卡地道美食, 而且店員非常熱情, 他們會很詳細講解菜式, 所以第一次吃也不用怕. 原來斯里蘭卡菜很多都是很辣的, 朋友說辣得他們都不能好好品嚐, 所以我第一次嘗試便點一些少辣的吧. 粉紅復古雜貨店是中環Soho的一個打卡熱點. 粉紅外雜貨店背後原來隱藏着一家特色斯里蘭卡菜餐廳 - Hotal Colombo.

餐廳主打多款斯里蘭卡地道美食, 而且店員非常熱情, 他們會很詳細講解菜式, 所以第一次吃也不用怕.

原來斯里蘭卡菜很多都是很辣的, 朋友說辣得他們都不能好好品嚐, 所以我第一次嘗試便點一些少辣的吧.

Chicken Kothu
在斯里蘭卡,kothu 是以其作為主食,這片切碎的餅和雞肉切碎,加入雞蛋、洋蔥、胡蘿蔔、青菜等,佐料種類豐富, 辣味在第二時間才品嚐到, 非常開胃.

青口和蜆肉配合帶點辣的青檸椰子醬汁, 有點像泰國的椰汁雞湯. 青口蜆肉都不少, 味道鮮甜, 好吃是好吃但這道菜不太地道下次會點其他菜式.

味道像印度咖哩, 甜甜辣辣, 有魚、雞、蔬菜可以選擇, 當天我點了魚, 魚肉非常嫩滑, 與咖哩味道很配合, 而且很少骨, 都是一些很大塊的骨頭, 所以不用怕哽骨麵包一起吃.

Egg hopper
屬於斯里蘭卡獨有的麵包, 造形象鳥巢很特別, 比較印度薄餅更加薄身, 側邊微微焦脆, 帶有淡淡的椰子和蛋香, 配合已經點了的咖哩, 相當好吃.

no idea what to pick so we asked the staff to pick for us🫢 surprisingly we love all the food served esp the sambol😛 seasoning & saucing are kinda strong yet still be able to taste slightly a bit of the coconut flavour which is interesting🤣

Pic 1️⃣: Bacon & Egg Hopper with Lunu Miris and Chicken Kari
— Probably my favourite dish of the day, haven’t had an egg hopper in ages and this definitely reminded me of how good it is! This was super fragrant, especially with the bacon and the taste of the egg was rich. Very freshly made and piping hot so they recommend you eat this as soon as it arrives. Chicken kari was slightly watery but still quite flavourful, nice accompaniment to the egg hopper.


Pic 2️⃣: Shrimp Kothu with Kari Sauce
— This was sooo good!! I’ve never had this so I had no idea what to expect but this took me by surprise! This was super flavourful and spicy, especially the kari sauce that came with it made me sweat a bit 😂 - this was definitely the spiciest curry out of the 3. Thought the texture of this was interesting, its like chewy noodles/bread?? but anyway, I really enjoyed it. The veggies were super flavourful as well, soaking up all the sauce and spices of the dish.


Pic 3️⃣: Yellow Rice with Brinjal Moji, Papadums, Cucumber salad and Fish Cutlets with a choice of Fish Kari
— Hmm, this was alright. The yellow rice was a lot wetter than I expected and not very flavourful. Also didn’t really enjoy the fish kari as it was a bit bitter for my liking, quite watery and not very flavourful. Also the fish in this was suuuper fishy and didn’t seem fresh. I LOVED the brinjal moju tho it was so good!! I want a portion of it to take home 😂


Pic 4️⃣: Devilled Chickpeas and all 8 of their sides (yoghurt, acharu, seeni sambol, salad, papadums, lunu miris, fried sprats and pol sambol)
— Menu said I could only choose 4 sides but they said I could have all so I did 😂 Most of these were more sauces/spices than sides but still very interesting. Really like the papadums as well, was a good snack whilst waiting for the food to arrive. My favourite side was the watermelon salad and pol sambol.
