This place location is a little hard to find, but their food quality is one of the best in central at a reasonable price. Their oyster are huge and fresh! Truffle chicken and fish is a must try, but I think you need to reserve it in advance. Uni risotto and pasta also good! Only thing is that they do two seatings which is sometimes too early or too late for me!

老闆請客,佢預先落左order,所以我都唔知食物名同價錢。不過該餐廳食物選擇唔多,好易估。黑色既係松露,入口好香~底部係sashimi海膽好鮮,味道濃。risotto 好creamy ,但唔會溜。意粉應該係手製,算彈牙。環境:暗暗地幾relax服務:職員無咩笑容

初初開的時候很想試,想經常爆,訂唔到位,在差不多忘掉這間餐廳之際,又有朋友提議去,還輕易訂到位添。 Neighborhood 整個定位是casual fine dining,它在一條橫巷之內,低調、cozy ,菜式經常更換,價錢不貴,裝修有型有款,服務親切;觀乎顧客群都是ABC多,幾個女仔,幾個男仔,似乎適合三五知己聚會,不適合情侶,因為比較嘈。 yellow fin tuna confit “ventresca” 煮熟了的吞拿魚,加上青椒,橄欖做成的一道醃菜,酸味味都幾特別。 Pickled Beef Tongue /Leeks/truffle 薄切的牛脷加上大蔥,雞蛋碎,賣相好靚,truffle 唔會太多,冇搶晒其他味,好食。 Roast lobster/girolle/sweet corn 正常龍蝦味,可惜唔夠熱,同埋如果粟米可以多啲就好。 Sea urchin capellini”carbonara” 呢個唔得,以為”carbonara應該是撈勻啲海膽嗰款,但原來是舖在面在加芝士焗少少,個capellini 冇味,海膽鮮味亦差少少。 Daily meat /roast pige

Daily meat /roast pigeon 出色,外脆內嫩,煮至medium rare ,十分嫩滑,如果唔怕太生的話要求medium rare,否則應該冇呢個效果。

M姐姐深知松露乃XO仔最喜愛食品之一 ,所以一發現其公司附近剛開業o既意大利餐廳「Neighborhood」於新張期內以低價推廣鮮刨白松露,就第一時間通風報信,小肥亦急不及待,即時訂座,拉埋父母一同試食 。其實去食飯之前已經上網查過地址,無奈「Neighborhood」實在過份隱蔽,於漆黑晚上,店舖門面唔多起眼,側旁又有棚架遮擋,就連貴為「中環通」o既大肥爸爸都搵到要放棄,三人更於幾幢私人樓宇間崎嶇o既梯級上迷路 ,最終不得不與餐廳職員通電求助。「Neighborhood」室內環境雖然頗有時代感,但由於燈光昏暗,要欣賞裝修都唔係咁易。餐廳門口有個酒吧及幾張高櫈,其餘散座大多為半梳化式方形餐桌,只有蠟燭照明,情侶光臨應該會覺得好有情調,不過枱布都冇張就好似差咁啲野 ,衛生舒適度都被打折扣。入座後不久,小肥先點咗枝西班牙汽酒「Castell Sant Antoni」黎襯托吓氣氛。因汽酒每杯售價為$90,每樽則為$480,三個人飲一枝又唔算過份,所以就索性叫一樽。處理好飲品,帶上白色手套o既外藉侍應生Cliff哥哥隨即呈上白松露 ,並詳盡地講解餐廳為慶祝新店開幕,現正以每克$27優

十個去「Neighborhood」,大半人都會迷路,唔知餐廳會唔會為此於街道上加插指示,方便食客呢?!除咗位置不便,餐室內o既燈光似乎亦有需要調高。小肥絕對感激Cliff哥哥真誠有禮o既服務(其他伙計就。。。),以及餐館以特價$27/g推廣白松露,亦覺配上和牛他他最為美味抵食,無奈廚房煮製o既其他熱食方面,質素有所參差,如欲吸引食客,當真要下點功夫!

成日周圍食(平至貴都有值得食嘅野), 雖然我寫食評唔算多(因好忙放工已攰到死, 所以有精神先寫), 100篇內唔多過5篇喊樣, 但呢間真係令我不得不一個月後(1月7號食)都要寫返狠狠俾個喊樣!!!

Handmade Tagliolini $135, 見到呢碟野真係火到黎, 好少見到一碟野未食已O嘴黑面, 呢碟野係佢地推介, 黎到原來係一碟碌熟咗嘅"handmade意粉", 完全無任何料, 連汁都無嘅意粉, $135乾住咁齋食真係想講粗口(未試過, 第一係Openrice咁火)!!! 終於明點解佢地推介, 食無任何料,連汁都無嘅齋食意粉, $135真食水超深!!! 材料 vs 收個價起碼10倍!!! 已經O嘴黑面中時, 老d個個女人侍應仲走黎sell黑松露/白松露成$600-$800黎配個"handmade無任何料,連汁都無嘅齋乾食嘅意粉", xyz#%^++ 第一次係Openrice咁火, 如果配埋個黑松露/白松露, 我即係要我食個乾齋食意粉要成$700-$900啦?!?!?!?!?! 佢當自己係米芝蓮酒店級數, 咁嘅價錢我去到好多高級地方/酒店)食個set dinner/buffet啦 (eg. Amigo, 或半島buffet etc).

唯一一樣全晚最好食嘅係個送一人一細舊menu無得點嘅Canele~

成餐食雖然唔貴, 但我旨在食好野嘅人覺得浪費咗個時間, 連食茶餐廳/快餐店都不如(起碼知道自己食咗d乜), 第一次要blacklist一間餐廳~

本來我是沖着她們的一道焗牛肚而來的,不過今期餐牌轉了,香辣牛肚肉凍也唯有招單全收。

以往曾吃過各式各樣的肉凍,但還是第一次吃牛肚肉凍,感覺十分新鮮。肉凍的口感相當特別,既有牛肚的爽脆,亦有啫喱狀的肉湯那種軟腍,絕對是款不錯的冷盤。

小店的招牌菜之一。

菜式的英文全名寫成 "chicken deep fried frog legs",我忍不住請教了侍應究竟炸田雞跟雞有何關係?他呆了一會,最終説應該是採用了炸雞的烹調方法。

田雞腿炸得酥脆無比,肉質嫩滑,味道的確有點像炸雞,倘若醬汁方面能再下多點功夫的話,相信不難取得滿分。

一冷一熱的頭盤之後,是主菜亮相的時間了。

先來一款簡單的海膽卡邦尼意粉。滿以為菜式會有少許新鮮的海膽伴在意粉之上,但原來海膽已被完全混入濃郁的醬汁當中。

意粉的口感實在煙靱而有咬口,這點的確做得不錯,但美中不足的是醬汁較重蛋漿的味道,如果多點海膽味必然更好!

最後一道菜點了是日燒肉的燒豬腩肉。腩肉的肥瘦部分好像梅花間竹一般分佈均勻,口感非常豐富,吃落自然啖啖滿足。菜式簡單以少量扁豆伴碟,扁豆能夠幫助吸取釋出的油份,吃起來不置過於油滯。

Suggested this restaurant to a good friend to celebrate his birthday and made reservations for the 6:30 seating.  Really looking forward to trying the restaurant due to reviews I've read and previous experience at On Lot 10.  Walked in about 5 minutes early.  We were reminded by the hostess that we had to return the table at 8:15, which we were fine with (little did we know what was in store for us...).  The restaurant overall is small and intimate.  It's not on Hollywood Road, you have to walk

Suggested this restaurant to a good friend to celebrate his birthday and made reservations for the 6:30 seating.  Really looking forward to trying the restaurant due to reviews I've read and previous experience at On Lot 10.  Walked in about 5 minutes early.  We were reminded by the hostess that we had to return the table at 8:15, which we were fine with (little did we know what was in store for us...). 

The restaurant overall is small and intimate.  It's not on Hollywood Road, you have to walk down Peel Street and it's in a small Lane off of Peel.  There are two separate areas for seating - a more public front area with one table in the front and tables along the side, and a more private back area.  Bar is on the right when you walk in and they had showcased some brie and truffles under domes. 

We were shown a table in the back private room but felt like we were intruding on a private party and asked to be seated in the front area, which they accommodated.  Studied the menu - it's a short menu, and the dishes are meant for sharing.  We decided we wanted to try the fish of the day (sea bass in bouillabaisse) the uni pasta, the foie gras dish and the winter vegetables.  We were ready to order, but waitress was busy taking the order of the table next to us, then the table up front.  Finally able to get the attention of another waiter and asked him to explain the menu a bit, and how many dishes we should order - he said about 5, we ordered the 4 we had decided on and said we wanted to save room for cheese and dessert.  This was about 6:45 pm. 

Wine came quickly, bread took a longer time to appear.  Bread was nothing special, just good basic bread with a single pat of butter.  The table (next to us) that ordered about 10 minutes before us had their first few courses arrive and finished them. At about 7:15 (about 30 minutes after we placed the order) we had our first dish arrive - winter vegetables.  The food itself was actually delicious - roasted root vegetables that were seasoned well.  We finished it and waited for the next course.  And waited.  And waited.  AND WAITED.  The table next to us had more courses arrive.  Our waiter asked if my friend wanted a refill of his wine and was told yes.  Then he went to the private room to service the large table and no wine refill came.  We had to ask him again a few minutes later to get the wine refilled.  He then asked another staff member to refill the glass - it appeared that he had assumed that the person would have refilled earlier but there must have been a miscommunication. 

By this time (about 45 minutes after we placed the order) they had cleared our vegetables and our plates in anticipation for the next courses and still nothing came.  The table next to us received more of their food and ordered more items from the menu.  We asked for our food and they went to check. 

It's now A FULL HOUR after we placed the order and at this point we are both STARVING.  It's been half an hour since the first (AND ONLY) dish was served.  The table next to us gets served AGAIN, and it is the dish (sea bass in bouillabaisse) we had ordered AN HOUR ago. I can only assume it was meant to be served to us, but the server screwed up.   The staff looks totally confused and we both get up to leave, it just was not worth it to stay, no matter how good the food. 

The hostess was quite apologetic and said she understood and refused to let us pay for the two glasses of wine and the vegetables.  So at least someone wasn't clueless.  We would have however preferred to have actually paid and have a complete meal.

This is a very busy restaurant with two seatings and we had to wait 20 minutes, and which was 30 minutes beyond the second seating time we booked. 
So despite the wait, the fact this this was a hard restaurant to book can be a promising sign of good food to come. 
Unfortunately that was no to be. 
They had black truffles which they encouraged  you to buy and shave over your dishes. Dishes on the average were small and price from $120 to about $200. The dishes were not originally designed for the truffles season and are on their regular menu, but they picked the ones especially suitable for truffles and put them on a separate list.  Our piece of truffle was weighed on a small handheld scale and we paid $1,700 for it, for a table of six persons. I asked if this may be the tasteless kind and I was assured it was tasty. 
First up was toasts with lardo. Not the way I has them in Italy, like sliced prosciutto, but mashed on the toast. Pretty tasteless on its own, but also tasteless with the shaved black truffles, which itself had no taste. I was entertaining guests and so did not argue. 
The egg pasta was a small dish of simply boiled pasta, appetizer size for one. Without the truffles it would be tasteless and therefore strange to be offered it as a regular dish on its own, at $120!
Same for the dish of plain scrambled eggs. 
The spaghetti Carbonara with sea urchins did not taste like a Carbonara nor was there any taste of sea urchins. Stoggy yellow sauce. 
The Wagyu tartar was just OK and not to compare with the dish at Wine Beast where I had lunch. 
We had numerous other dishes and none were memorable. In fact so forgettable I can't really recall them the morning after and had to ask the other diners. 
But the chocolate cake was rich and very good.

用了和牛來做tartare,牛味是濃郁的,質感比較膠,而且牛的大小可以再細些,入口感覺其實有點怪怪的,調味上亦可以加多些香草之類;因為沒有蛋黃,所以未夠濕潤;雖然這款tartare的沒平日吃的tartare悶,但味道上我還是比較喜歡平日吃的那種。

Bone Marrow/ Kale Risotto $145

很愛Risotto,所以非吃不可呢;這款risotto與平日意大利式的risotto有點不同,沒有那的黏稠,因為沒有加入大量芝士吧,如果加入了芝士,應該會膩得過火,因為這risotto混入了bone marrow;bone marrow的味道不會過濃,當中加入了些綠葉,入口沒那樣的膩。

tete de veau "blanquette" $145

其實menu上的選擇不多,不知點甚麼下,我們點了這份燉小牛,小牛味道頗強的,還嚐到了那牛羶味,所以未必人人會喜歡這道菜的;而小牛的肉質是不錯的,還起膠,感覺充滿了骨膠原;不過味道有點帶酸,怪怪的。

對Gnocchi的興趣不算太大,但侍應說這裡的做得不錯;入口軟軟的,帶點薯香;而iberico ham帶點鹹香,為平平無奇的Gnocchi增添了不少味道,但個人覺得味道上可以再多些層次。

最後當然要一份甜品吧,朱古力mousse,底層有一片朱古力餅,那朱古力mousse十分幼滑,甜度亦適中,朱古力味亦濃郁;而那片餅亦很脆,不錯吧。

這是餐廳送贈的,外層帶焦香,質感煙韌,味道亦不會太甜,我很喜歡這個贈品喔。

眾多款食物之中,我最喜歡的便是Mushroom veloute,那味道與其他餐廳做的一點也不似,味道又特別又美味;而其他的食物味道也不錯的,但沒太大的驚喜;價錢方面,以中環來說,每人四百多元,吃得飽飽的,價錢上不算太貴。

We had Frog Legs Fritter Provençal to begin with. Provence sits in the region of South Eastern France near the Mediterranean sea. With an emphasis on herbs and vegetables and spices, the frog legs were prepared with an intense amount of tomatoes and herbs to further enrich the fragrant flavors. The frog leg drumsticks were succulent and meaty, which were nicely coated in crispy batter and it was awesome when served with a mixture of the sauce and the rich egg yolk in the middle!

Another signature dish was Tripe Gratin. The aromatic tomato sauce was slightly spicy, which was cooked with the tripe strips for a few hours which were left with a melting texture.

We tried Daily Fish in bouillabaise. This was my least favorite dish of the night. It was not the typical bouillabaise we usually preferd. The stew with rouille was more salty and slightly bitter. The fish was actually rather tender, but since we were not particularly fond of the broth. This was the only dish we could not finish.

We decided to end the dinner with its Chocolate Palette.There was a thin crust layer that was made of crunchy chocolate cookie crumbs. The top was so devilishly cream and rich for its chocolate ganache, which engulfed the cake with distinctive dark chocolate flavors.

For our first taste of Alba white truffles this year, Big and Small picked Neighborhood, a newly opened joint by Chef David Lai from Bistronomique and On Lot 10. The quaint and modern restaurant is situated next to a little park and quite hard to find at first. Once we were seated, we were presented with a bowl of "white diamonds" nestled on uncooked rice. We were like little kids at the candy store, so excited to pick our own truffle! Their truffles were HKD 26 a gram and weighed on a digital scale at the table. Our truffle was more than enough to go between the three of us. We were given a truffle shaver set to the thinnest setting and we shaved the truffle on everything except the cheese and chocolate dessert! 

We liked the al-dente Buttered Tagliolini for its subtle flavours that let the white truffle shine. The Wagyu Tartare didn’t have an overly acidic dressing and the raw yolk brought a great texture to the dish. The Homemade Gnocchi with Iberico and Parmesan was light and fluffy but could’ve had more potato taste. The Bone Marrow Risotto had large chunks of delicious fatty marrow throughout and the herbs cut through the fattiness, but the rich flavours sadly overpowered the truffles. For desserts, we liked the intense and creamy dark Chocolate Pallete and we used the last bits of our truffle on Vanilla Ice Cream, so decadent! They also served a great Fourme d'Ambert.

Overall I think the addition of white truffles elevated the food, but without the icing on the cake these dishes would still be delicious. The portions are small but reasonably priced, great for trying many dishes at once. The vibe is perfect for dates and there’s also a full bar. Their menu changes every week, so I'm looking forward to see what they have in store after the truffle season ends.

I kinda crashed my buddies' dinner as I had an hour between dinner and drinks. So I went there full - just tried their wines. The services were very attentive and staff friendly. They could also give good recommendation for food pairing or just having a wine by a glass. I was craving for something chill and asked the waiter what they have, which is not to sweet and more on the dry side. They said the pinor grigio, however it might be too young for me. Later they asked whether I wanted to try the rose. Usually I dont like it but this time they said it's not too bubbly, not too sweet but perfect for enjoying on its own. So I order that and it was indeed fruity, delightful, not too sweet and yet aromatic and quite nice to be a drink by a glass. 

Reminder, wines are more on the pricey side - which is quite interesting as my friend ordered steak and lamb, which were less than 200hkd each and tasty. 

Their menu changes weekly to keep guests delighted. I will definitely return to try their food.

Step in the doorway, we found the restaurant simply decorated in a tastful and modern way with gray wall and wooden furniture. Also, a mini cocktail bar facing towards the dinning area makes the space more lively for this little restaurant.

First come the appetizer as the Charcuterie platter $155 with chorizo, jamon iberico, saichicon and lardo. This platter is on my must eat list since they really taste terrific. Then come the Mushroom veloute $98 , this is one of the dish that should paired with the white truffle. The staff shaved the truffle onto the soup and the fragrance spread all over it . The aroma of white truffle really match with the mushroom veloute . With the truffle immersed into the soup , the taste of both turn out be delicate and irresistible .

The main dish Frog leg provencal $120 , though the juicy meaty drum stick coated with the crunchy batter which nestled on the gooey egg yolk and ailoi seems so tempted to me. It's pity that the whole dish turn out to be quite bland by not seasoning well I think.

Another main dish Bone marrow rossito $145 is the savoury dish which we cannot stop eating with truffle added to it. It's creamy texture of bone marrow and chewy Italian rice with white truffle added to it enhance the aromatic flavour of the whole dish.

As we dinning, chef David come over to his customers to say hello and was told by the restaurant menu changed weekly. I think it' s a great idea in doing that to add novelty value to the dinning experience.

For the most exciting part, here comes the Vanilla icecream $ 65 per 2 scoops with truffle peeled on it . Wow, it just a sinful dessert that I can't get enough of it !

Ended with some special treat minI caneles is simply perfect for both of us.

In general, a pleasant dinning despite with some staffs don't have much knowledge about their food serving to their customers. But the chef is very nice and come over to communicate with his customers and help us to peel truffle for the food while other staffs are busy entertaining other customers.

My Verdict : As compared to other local hotel restaurant, I think the price of the food here is reasonable and cheaper especially for the truffle dinner. Around $ 100 dollars per course for the general dishes is quite affordable. Since this is not the 5 star hotel restaurant, so don't expect the 5 star service here. But for people who want a warm family ambiance within a little restaurant with no service charge added into the bill and some decent Italian dishes it definitely worth to visit.
