went here for birthday dinner last month This restaurant is famous for its waygu sando but when I came here, they said it was sold out. Well I booked in a friday at 7pm which is a normal dinner time that I dont expect the signature dish would be sold out. They should hv informed us when confirming booking but they did not even call to confirm bookings.

這次已經是第二次來這個地方,我很喜歡這裏的氣氛,亦都非常之喜歡他的食物,我啲同事亦知道,所以就訂了這個餐廳跟我慶祝生日。我點了上一次我覺得非常好食的,當中有Akamutsu鵝肝壽司,三種吞拿魚組成的吞拿魚壽司卷,還有cheese Burger壽司卷等等冷盤。熱食方面,我最鍾意吃他的和牛三文治,其實我已經在香港吃了好幾間做這道菜有名的餐廳,但是我覺得這裏的和牛三文治是全香港最好吃的。我也很喜歡吃carbonara,其他食物味道也很不錯,但未有出色到難忘。今次我點了幾個新的菜式,第一個是炸天婦羅蝦,第二個是帶子,這兩款味道普通,我應該不會再叫。最後一款新叫的食物是魚子醬壽司,我真心覺得這個壽司一點也不特別,也不是十分好吃,而且價錢非常之昂貴,我建議想這間餐廳吃的朋友就不要點這個了。最後我覺得甜品都是一般。總括來說,我亦非常之滿意這一餐晚飯的水準,我會再來幫襯。

其中一間最喜歡的餐廳就是中環的Silencio! 位於LKF Tower酒吧、私人gallery和餐廳林立的黃金地段,餐廳之間的競爭十分激烈。當然食物質素和環境、服務等都要做到最好先有立足之地啦!這間餐廳的定位是中高價位,來過兩次差不多試了menu上的大部分食物,覺得質素比很多貴價餐廳做得更好。晚上來到有live band,氣氛很舒服很適合和朋友聊天喝酒的地方,唯一是餐廳其實不大,live band聲音有時會蓋過聊天的聲音。食物方面,第一道是Pablo,即用咖啡浸過的鰤魚Hamachi刺身加上watercress puree 和柚子,柚子微酸提升了刺身的鮮甜味道,配搭得別出心裁! 非常新鮮甜美的還有帶子刺身和拖羅壽司,魚類及貝類的所有食物都在水準之上。最值得一提的是和牛三文治,在中環來說應該是個人最愛的和牛三文治,面包烘完塗上厚厚的鵝肝醬夠晒香脆,和牛的肉質鬆軟,口感和味道應該不下於任何一間餐廳。球狀的粟米tempura的做法比較創新,加上小小caviar帶一點微鹹,口感和味道上都有一點驚喜。比較不過不失的是價錢較貴的Russian,即魚子醬壽司,單純的就是在壽司飯上加上魚子醬,沒什麼

I believe foodie in Central will have learnt about Lily & Bloom – a restaurant used to reside at LKF tower. L&B was beautifully renovated restaurant with an impressive gorgeous bar at the entrance. Before arrival, I called to ask them for putting down my friend’s name on the dessert plates but they forgot about that when we ordered the desserts. I awkwardly asked about this in front of my friend (as she would know afterwards anyway) and the staff apologised and gave us an extra dessert with my friend’s name written on the plate.

I love the elegant yet vibrant atmosphere which embraces a sense of comfort and style with live jazz music🎷it’s just a mark off from the above incident. Other than that, I wouldn’t say the food was extremely amazing but generally speaking, I quite enjoyed the dinner at Silencio for the overall experience.

Fried chick’n
Saw this in an article saying that this was the best fried chickn in town and had to give it a try. Chicken is well marinated and reminds me of my childhood- the fried chicken my grandma makes at home, except elevated with sancho pepper, my new fav spice!

In the background is the other new dish we tried, foie gras marinated in Japanese whiskey over braised daikon and topped with some apples I think.

Otoro with Brie
New dish alert! This was another bite size surprise that was devoured swiftly by the ladies. Otoro complements Brie strangely well with the smoothness of foie but with a sweet aftertaste delivered by the sweet pickled chrysanthemum

- Onsen salad: our usual salad, clever rendition of Cesar salad with the onsen egg and ikura for bite / burst
- Cheeseburger roll: this is new for us, strangely good. No rice, meaty with a cheesy center. Reminds me of a kimbap but American style!

Recommend to just try them all. Love love love the new earl grey ice cream. But the matcha sponge cake is srsly addictive

Verdict
Great spot for a easy chill night with a bunch of friends and the live jazz was quite the treat. Space has a vibe reminiscent of an upstairs Japanese cocktail bar in ginza, tokyo. Seems like a place good for impressing a date with plenty of nice sakes / Champaign to keep the night going nibbling on small bite size snacks to keep bellies light and the mood sexy.

Hopefully we can expect some Japanese cocktails next? Paired with a small nibble just like how the Japanese cocktail establishments do it?

食物好味精緻,每碟都是tapas, 每樣野都可以試少少,1. 特別推介鵝肝和wagyu sandwich, juicy 多汁唔會乾。2. 黑松露壽司,很特別。3. 鵝肝白魚壽司,也是fusion 特色。一間值得再去的餐廳!!

Le Comptoir Group continues to expand its culinary territory this month. The hamachi sashimi, cured with coffee powder and sancho, was beautifully plated with watercress purée, pickled shallots and edible flowers while the wasabi yogurt, chive oil and fresh pomelo pulled off a sublime finish. A very well-executed dish and easily the best one of the night.

French ($180) - Akamutsu (rosy seabass) sushi sprinkled with shaved foie gras torchon was next. With Akamutsu's rich fat content, I thought it would mesh well with the richness of the foie gras torchon but I was totally wrong. The fact is, it works much better with some subtle acidity with yuzu quickly coming to mind.

Onsen Egg Salad ($130) - A Caesar-style salad with house-smoked salmon roes, crisp baby gem lettuce, onsen egg and crispy nori tossed in a creamy yuzu dressing. Not bad.

Yakisoba ($180) - A couple of noodles for my little nugget. First to come was fried Japanese soba with smoked duck breast, crispy shallots and coriander. This had way too seasoning (mostly salt) in it. Not a good start for my boy.

Carbonara Udon ($190) - Many chefs have tackled this combination before. Frankly, I always enjoy a fusion twist on my carbonara and this time, it was a Japanese spin with ham made with wagyu, udon noodles and bonito flakes. Pretty yummy~

Followed by the chutoro roll. So nice to enjoy the best of both worlds as chutoro is the perfect blend of otoro and akami. Very meaty, fatty and melt-in-the-mouth.

California Yoga ($100) - This looked like a California roll at first glance but the crab meat was replaced by cream cheese in the middle.

I was pleasantly surprised with the way the cream cheese, avocado and pickles all worked together. The spongy, marshmallow-like texture of the cream cheese proved to be a nice match with the sushi rice, creamy avocado and crunchy pickles while the extra cheesiness added another dimension to the sushi roll. Very interesting.

There were some nice surprises tonight (Pablo, California Yoga) but unfortunately, not enough of them to make this journey a memorable one. Pablo was a wonderful start to the meal but you could sense things were about to regress as soon as they ran out of surprises.

Our friends went to Japan earlier this year, then they started loving Japanese Sake since. Our friends went to Japan earlier this year, then they started loving Japanese Sake since. They know that my hubby and I are sake lovers too hence they invited us to come to this restaurant as their favourite sake brewer is in town this week.

We planned to join the sake tasting dinner however it was already fully booked, however we still managed to book a table for dinner and order the sake our friend loves. Kaze No Mori is the brand our friend is in love with and she highly recommended it. We ordered the Nama Sake and it was refreshing and fruity and it was lovely just by itself. We ordered quite a lot of food tonight. I personally love the sea bass best and the steak sandwich and the other dishes were OK. My hubby and I both believe that the food here is really nothing like an Izakaya place, actually far from it, it was more like a modern international with a light touch of Japanese. My apology that I do not know the name of the dishes as our friends ordered them all 😅. We would definitely be back for the food and it is quite a nice place for small group catch up with live Jazz.
