We came here to eat after an issue with another restaurant forcing us to abandon our reservation there.
The staff offered to carry my mother up the stairs in her wheelchair because there was no lift. Such a nice gesture.
We ended up just walking very slowly up instead.
We were pleasantly surprised by how friendly everyone was to us. Service was great. Helpful and attentive. Changed our plates a couple of times when it was full of shells or sauce.
As much as we enjoyed the service, unfortunately the food was a bit disappointing.
Fish was overcooked and quite tough to eat. Baked mussels were ok, a bit dry and bland. Pigeon was tender and tasty. The Portuguese chicken was decent tho the sauce was a bit more watery than usual and the salmon fried rice was better than expected. The best dish was probably the clams and the garlic bread.
Desserts were all quite bland. We got the Serradura pudding, Tiramisu, creme caramel and Napoleon. I'd skip all these and grab some tarts elsewhere.
Overall it is a good family restaurant. Not really authentic Portuguese food...more like catered to the Chinese crowds. Reminds me of the western restaurants in HK that's a mix of Hong Kong and Western culture.
Not bad but wasn't hitting the mark for us.
Overall it wasn't too expensive. Bill came to $1018 HKD.
