Feel disappionted with the service, absolutely not recomended for a big gatherings as staff is very rude. I waited for more than 15 mins for the staff to get my order. Poor customer services experienced! Some staff are seems tired and frustated, thus letting it out on customers. Altough, food was nice but not worth every single penny paid for the treatment recieved. LEFT THE RESTAURANT WITH GREAT SADDNESS.

我每一次去食咖喱,都是那麼多的興奮,甚至是亢奮的。所以我時常說,我喜歡食咖喱程度已經是一件不可抗力的事。在尖沙咀,就有一間令我每一次來都亢奮一次的印度餐廳。這一間印度餐廳,帶點高貴,環境亦當然比起同區好多的印巴餐廳來得舒適,而這一個令人興奮的名字,同餐廳的中、英文名字都一樣,是非常開心的。這一個開心的名字,叫做《爵樂印度餐廳》(Gaylord Indian Restaurant)。這餐廳,絕對是一個快樂的地方,環境比較高尚,侍應的服務水平又夠細心。說價錢,是比較貴的,但坐得舒服,服侍得好,再加上食品出色,是值回呢一個 premium 的。再者,幾乎每一晚都有 live band 演唱。這一晚,就有一個哥仔演唱印度的傳統音樂。我還記得好多年前的一晚,是有舞者穿起印度的民族服裝跳舞。整個感覺,會令你有如置身在印度或中東的地方享受高級美食的一樣。食印度餐,最普遍的前菜就是 poppadom,香脆的胡椒餅,加上綠色的薄荷醬後是最美味的。而且,這兒的 poppadom 的胡椒味沒有過重,輕輕的辣口香脆,就是 poppadom 的誘人之處。來食印度餐,你要我選 Mango Lassi 以外的飲品?

食印度餐,最普遍的前菜就是 poppadom,香脆的胡椒餅,加上綠色的薄荷醬後是最美味的。而且,這兒的 poppadom 的胡椒味沒有過重,輕輕的辣口香脆,就是 poppadom 的誘人之處。

來食印度餐,你要我選 Mango Lassi 以外的飲品? 我只會以 Masala Tea 作為我的 second choice。所以,我們一坐底,就立即來兩杯他們的芒果特飲。這 Mango Lassi,芒果味香濃,乳酪的酸味味感覺也是十足。再加上甜味適中,既開胃又可解百辣。

食印度餐,有雞有羊是我本人的傳統。雞肉的就來了一個 Masala 香味的咖喱。Chicken Masala 用上了許多的香料,未食用已經可以從散發出來的氣味中得知這東西是十分的香。這兒的 Masala 是很微的辣,入口的味道是香甜的。把芝士及其他香料混一起後,味道更可口。

Lamb Madras,羊肉配濃郁一點的咖喱會是更好食的。所以,我點了味道濃一點的 Madras。其實,印巴人整的羊肉半點也不羶,但若是有一個味道濃郁的咖喱汁去配搭,會突然羊肉的另一種香味。

這一次,我們沒有點上飯,大家都以 Naan Bread 來夾肉食及點咖喱醬。我們點的都不是辣的咖喱,完全地沾好醬去食這一片極香口的烤餅,比起吃飯更滿足。我們加點的 Garlic Naan,多了蒜香的 Naan Bread,更加之可口。

I am Gay! 說出這話兒並不是代表我要出櫃,而是我每次來到《Gaylord》食完咖喱都得到一個很滿足的喜悅。而 Gay 在牛津字典的另一個解釋就是喜悅 (Joyful) 的古字。I love Gaylord,因為這店的咖喱,帶給我非一般的喜悅。

Many Indians comes for eating the homeland dishes, the environment is so comsy here haa, lovely and soft seatsOrdered Curry tiffin lunch, Vegetables salad is not really salad here, it’s just a lettuce and carrots on the top, lol and serving in the same plate with the main, lolll Curry chicken with rice and Indian pizza is pretty good but a bit spicy for me. My colleagues and I went to Gaylord on a business outing with some investors. they were able to accommodate 12 of us (with prior booking). The staff and service were exceptional. They tended to all our needs and even adjusted the food roll-out for late showers.  The ambience was just right to keep things balanced between professional and casual dining.We were lucky enough to try many different subjis and breads, since we were there with a big group. We were lucky enough to try many different subjis and breads, since we were there with a big group. My favourites were the Truffle Naan (haven't seen anyone else make this in HK!) and their Daal Makhani. While pretty much every Indian restaurant offers daal makhani, Gaylord nailed it.  The prices for the curries were very reasonable. 2 side-dishes should be enough for 3 people along with some naan.

We finished the meal off with some delicious Saffron Malai Kulfi. Perfect way to end the meal. It wasn't overly sweet. Overall, very pleased with Gaylord and I will definitely be coming back here.

My favourite had to be the Tandoori Gunpowder Potatoes which were soft and silky potatoes marinated in yoghurt.
Not sure if I am right but I seemed to taste some delicious bits of curd on top.

The Mock duck Makhanwala (no onion and garlic) JAIN was amazing, it was delicious soya chunk soaked in Makhanwala gravy best complimented with fluffy rice.

For carbs had the Lamb dum biryani which is served in a claypot which keeps it warm and fragrant.
Each mouthful was delicious with finely shredded pieces of lamb.

For Diwali, had Mithais (sweets) which were surprisingly nice because they were nutty and similar to energy bars.
The sweetness wasn't as sweet as I imagined so it was a good finish to dinner slowly nibbling at it with drinks.

Mango Lassi即是印度奶昔,是印度坊間常見的飲料,有鹹及甜兩款不同的口味。

印度人嗜甜,原先也擔心飲料會否做得太甜。不過上桌奶昔味道調得恰好,口感幼滑芒果香味濃郁,若然飲品可以再凍一點滿足度應會更高。

印度人傳統文化不吃牛及豬肉,因此這兩種肉類都沒有在餐牌上出現。羊肉成為印度料理中唯一的紅肉代表,繼燒烤菜式後再度出現。

相較燒烤羊肉卷,燴羊肉的味道相較普通。羊肉同樣羶味不多,不過煮汁亦是稍嫌過鹹,遮蓋了羊肉的肉味。煮汁拼香米飯或洋葱飽去吃可較為恰當。

奶球的奶味基本上已全被甜味掩蓋,質感潤濕,再泡在甜度甚高的糖水裡,感覺像發了水的甜麵粉球,對吃慣中國菜的香港人來說未必太能懂得欣賞。

同樣位處東南亞區,但相比泰菜及越南菜,印度菜始終不會是華人社會外出用膳時較熱門的選擇。

以印度菜來說,食店菜式定價並不便宜,但在個星期六的晚上,食店的入座率卻幾乎是百分之一百。觀乎是夜的座上客,差不多九成五都是上了年紀的外藉人仕。經過四十年的經營歷練食店已經累積了一批長期的老外擁戴者。

想偶爾體驗一下正宗印度菜的風味,食店會是值得一試的選擇。不過平心而論,食店所提供的套餐,價錢其實跟菜式分開單點沒有多大分別。所以食客大可放棄套餐,自己點選合自己心水的菜式還更合適。

If you like Indian food, come here, you can taste original Indian food.  When we arrived the restaurant at about 7pm, not so many customers inside.  We are totally have 7 people included 1 guided dog, therefore the restaurant had arranged a private room for us.  We first ordered appetizer,  the portion is so big.  Then we ordered our favourite nann bread and curry, it's so so so delicious that I can't find in other places in HK.  It is very relaxing to have a gathering in this restaurant as you

Paid a visit for buffet lunch using an OpenRice voucher.

A) Service

The servers were polite but could have been more attentive. I noticed that other diners were served with glasses of water without asking for them, but mine came only upon request. Also, a duo who came for the buffet at the same time as I did (and didn't pay with vouchers) were asked for their choice of bread, while my preference didn't seem to be much of their concern as I was served with a garlic naan without given any option. Note that it is stated in the ad that the buffet includes assorted breads, which I wasn't offered.

B) Food

Good varieties showcasing some veg and non-veg classics. Here's a list of dishes served on my day of visit.

1. Veg samosa (crispy shell stuffed with well-seasoned mashed potato, peas and cashews; one of the best I've tried in HK; my 2nd fav of the day)

2. Tandoori veg (nicely grilled and slightly spicy potatoes, tomatoes and broccoli florets)

3. Chicken tikka (flavorful and nicely grilled to the right level of tenderness; would've loved it even more had it been just a little more tangy; my 2nd fav if the day along with the samosas)

4. Fish tikka (aromatic and tender but a bit on the salty side)

5. Lamb rogan josh (my fav of the day; bursting with flavor and super tender; would have been perfected with a little more heat in my opinion)

6. Chicken masala (or I think it was; apologetically I didn't pay much attention to it as the exceptionally good rogan josh next to it just grasped my heart; I do remember it as a decent dish with tender meat in a mild gravy)

7. Palak paneer (they used some good paneer which had a rich creamy flavour. The palak wasn't particularly spicy though.)

9. Veg korma (a decent-but-not-mind-blowing veg korma)

10. Veg pakora in yellow curry (the soggy fritters and the bland sauce weren't impressive at all)

11. Dal makhani (too full to try it; it was a shame as it looked so creamy and yum)

12. Salads (3 choices: kachumber, mixed lettuces, and chicken with chickpeas) + papadums, puris, cucumber raita and chutneys

13. Desserts (2 choices I think: kheer and another yellowish dessert in cubes, both of which I didn't try because I'm no fan of sweet treats) + assorted fruits (cubed watermelon, cantaloupe melon and pineapple)

14. Saffron rice (nice and dry with hints of whole spices; again nothing mind-blowing but just right to my liking)

The package included one non-alcoholic drink. I had a hot masala tea without sugar, which was silky smooth and aromatic. Loved it.

C) Ambience

A bit dim but cozy. Quite clean (at least no bugs were spotted).

My first dining experience with Gaylord was generally positive. The food was very good for the (discounted) price whereas the service needed a bit more work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the buffet lunch to my friends and family. May come again for their a la carte options (the LAMB ROGAN JOSH for sure!) and hopefully they won't disappoint.

I had been to this restaurant once before for dinner and the food was really good, especially the naan (please do get the truffle naan if you get the chance, it's delicious!). We had the mayfare card (which entitles you to 20% off your total bill if you pay by credit card and 10% off on PH) which is why we decided to come. We came on a weekend so it's a little more expensive ($168 per person) but we also had the mayfare card with us so with 20% off it really wasn't that expensive at all. I think it's normally $128 per person on weekdays. There's a decent selection of meat and vegetarian options so you can bring your vegetarian friends along and won't have to worry about them feeling left out
Appetizers like samosas and salads and desserts are also available.

Lastly, I must mention that their service staff were wonderful and attentive throughout our meal. I would definitely come back again

一直好想試吓香港嘅印度菜, 選擇Gaylord 印度餐廳除咗因為歷史悠久之外, 亦被餐廳優雅的環境吸引,去到當然試下印度菜必食嘅烤餅(Naan) 啦,配返雞肉tikka masala, 味道可口,再食埋佢哋嘅咖喱羊肉, 沒有羶味而且肉質很好,除了食物之外,佢哋嘅環境佈置亦充滿印度傳統特色,我哋當晚仲有Live Music表演好有氣氛,但portion略嫌較少,而且waiter態度麻麻,要求叫一杯水反覆叫了六次以上都未有,有待改善。

It really isn't appetizing when u see a long strand of hair on the food you ordered. We had politely highlighted the hair in food situation and returned the food only to find another strand of hair in the replacement. Would have rated zero if possible.
