以前細個就已經開始去大會堂美心飲茶,絕對係童年美好嘅回憶,總共去左20年。 呢間係出左名一直受遊客,外籍人士,以及本地客都受歡迎嘅茶樓。 最近返香港再去食,連我呢種忠實粉絲都只可以講風光不再。論食物:好多以前好食嘅招牌點心一係就無,一係就要等好耐,而且細份好多。 比如招牌特點嘅點心炸魷魚,$75只有以前一半嘅份量,每次廚房只會出6碟,一出就已經無。 以前成個點心車都係,係一個超受歡迎嘅美食。 要等好耐。論服務:唔夠人+ 服務好差。坐低後一直無人開茶,連點心卡都無。點心車唔夠人推,搞到所有人直接行去囉,有時候客人直接自己做自己嘅服務員,攞住一個大盤將所有自己想食嘅點心攞返去抬。 搞到好混亂又危險。 總體服務水平差好多,志願服務態度又差,又唔夠人,等好耐都無人理。管理層應該好好反省,為什麼一間咁標誌性嘅香港茶樓今日會淪落到咁嘅水平。 好可惜,大會堂今日這個狀態某程度也反映左香港整體點解一路流失遊客,其他地方一直進步,呢度除左比人超越,仲一直退步。 好遺憾。

Service standards have fallen here. At peak lunch time, there are not enough trolleys so those sitting far from the kitchen will not have any trolley come by or a poor selection by the time it does. As a result, people are getting up to where the trolleys come out of the kitchen to pickup the dim sum items, resulting in a queue and is also dangerous as the guests weave back to their tables carrying the dim sum items. Our meal cost about HK$320 per head for very ordinary dim sum. We'll be lookin

I come here at least once a week for lunch. I love that they still keep the HK traditional style of food trolleys as this is becoming extinct in HK. Since you wont need to order from a Chinese menu, this place is perfect for tourists , to just point at foods in the trolley. No chinese needed and no communication barrier! The food here is always of very good quality and very freshly made. We usually have to wait for the food to be made and once the aunties come out with the new steaming hot dimsu

The food here is always of very good quality and very freshly made. We usually have to wait for the food to be made and once the aunties come out with the new steaming hot dimsums, everyone just rushes there to see whats new whats fresh. Truly an amazing experience that is unique to Maxim palace! Other places nowadays only have the standard menu or dimsum paper for ticking and this traditional trolley way of ordering is kept in Maxim palace up till now. Must try items here include siumai, shrimp har gow, phoenixs claws, cheung fun rice rolls, mango sago, sago egg pudding, cha siu pastry, egg tarts and their scallop egg white fried rice is really amazing. Every item is freshly steamed and piping hot while served.

My favourite thing to order is the siumai - its perfeclty made here, with huge chunks of pork marinated to perfection and fresh prawns wrapped into a thin dough wrapper. Its a piece of comfort food with the right amount of chewiness and freshness in one huge bite.

The deep fried dough balls - (沙翁)are also a must try - this is a sweet dimsum that isnt found easily in hk. The eggy dough balls are fried and become a puffy huge balloon kind of donut pastry which is rolled in sugar, and this dessert is so light it wont fill your stomach! The crispy outer layer is wrapped in sugar and once you bite into it, the inside is a fluffy egg dough which tastes really good and fresh. The grains of sugar on the outer coat adds crunch and texture to the whole dessert!

We will never eat here again!!Went for dinner, when ordering we had asked the staff multiple times whether our AE card can be used for a certain promotion and was told yes. When the bill came, we were rudely told our card cannot be used for the promotion, that we had to pay full price and there was nothing that could be done about it.One - we only ordered the promotion since the staff said it was fine, else we would order something else.Two - the staff collecting payment and the manager rudely

When the bill came, we were rudely told our card cannot be used for the promotion, that we had to pay full price and there was nothing that could be done about it.
One - we only ordered the promotion since the staff said it was fine, else we would order something else.
Two - the staff collecting payment and the manager rudely tell us nothing they can do about it, your card not applicable.
Ended up paying 50% more than we expected. Never eating here again.

令其他客人不能享受車仔推到自己身邊,破壞歎茶的原意😋

希望酒樓勸喻客人安心坐下等點心車過嚟吧😋

This Cantonese restaurant is located in City Hall and has been in this location as long as I can remember, certainly with a long history. It is still having dim sum carts at lunch, and a popular place drawing many people, for both the experience and the quality of their food. It is quite quiet with the restaurant opening only half of the space, and for this section it is only half full. The setting is typical Chinese restaurant style, brightly lit, but at least the tables are not that close to each other to offer some nice space for conversation. The overall ambience is clean and decent.

We order a few of the recommended dishes, starting with Sweet and Sour Pork 菠蘿咕嚕肉 ($128). The sauce is of the right balance in sweet and sourness, very delicious, with the deep-fried pork fillet having only a thin batter on the surface. While this is a common dish almost all Cantonese restaurants offer, it is a test of the chef’s skill and this one scores a good mark from me.

Next is Hakka Stuffed Tofu Pot 客家釀豆腐煲 ($158). I was pleasantly surprised to taste the salted fish mixed in the minced pork stuffing, as many restaurants nowadays are skipping that. Also, there are some large clams and a big fish head in the pot, along with meatball and Chinese celery, to increase the umami taste of the soup. Great to see how the chef is able to bring extra flavours to a common dish.

The final one is Steamed Leopard Coral Grouper 清蒸東星斑 ($388), which is offering at discount. The fish is quite big in size, and while for some people it might feel a tiny bit over-cooked it is actually good for me. I also liked the lighter soy sauce used.

For dessert my wife has Red Bean Soup 紅豆沙 ($40) while I go for Mango Pudding 芒果布丁 ($48). The red bean soup has plenty of bean beans and thick, quite good in taste, while the pudding is decent, wrapping up a satisfying dinner for us.

Service is good, with the staff friendly and attentive. Often in these traditional restaurants there is a feeling that the staff are not very happy, and that ultimately got reflected through the services, but it does not happen here. The bill on the night is $924 and overall good value for money, and we already start to discuss whether we should choose here for our regular group dinner in future.

You come here because- you don’t know the other choices in Hk- you have not tried getting dim sums on carts- you need to be in central- you are quite okay to have dim sums ordinary in both taste and quality.The que is daunting But, you can get around that by getting an advanced ticket on Gulu App. Assume that each 100 tickets ahead of you take about 1 hours . For lunch we had : - Steamed Radish cake (the best) - Minced fish ball - Beef ball - Glutinous rice wrapped in leaves - Salted egg yol

🌹7月1日假期,專登安排去中環大會堂的《美心皇宮》吃早餐,食店平日開11:00,假期及星期日會早開市,行山前去最合時機。我們提早15分鐘到達,大會堂門外已有十多人排緊隊,相信是等飲茶的食客,一路等條龍人數有增無減。🌹搭正9:00開門,大家都急步行上二樓,我們亦是,因為想坐一個心水靚位,幸運的可以坐到窗邊兩人檯,景觀一流,開心🥳!想吃點心便要等點心車推到你面前,童年回憶返晒嚟。蝦餃蝦肉爽灌湯餃料足但索價太高鳳爪汁味濃乾蒸牛肉牛肉淋鮮竹卷餡料足芋頭蒸鴨腳鴨腳配芋頭,汁液味濃整體用餐體驗不錯,但價錢較高。

朋友介紹嘅,我哋就第一次過黎食,覺得都唔錯。環境舒適,景觀好,坐得又夠闊落,不過呢啲碗碟就有少少唔夠乾淨,坐低換左兩份餐具,我哋點左個套餐。粉絲煲夠味道,惹味,份量都唔少。條魚新鮮嘅,賣相都唔錯👍唔會蒸得老。鮑魚鵝掌,好入味,豆杯墊底,四隻鵝掌,隻鵝掌呢好大一隻。鮑魚飯,濕濕地,唔會熱氣,因為我唔鍾意食芹菜,加左少少芹菜粒,所以我麻麻地,味道係唔錯嘅。呢個扣肉,好薄,唔肥膩。西蘭花蝦球味道都唔錯,蝦球夠大粒。最後仲有甜品食,唔錯👍服務態度好,值得一讚!
