香料牛肉飯香料味道配合得非常完美。口感不是醬的感覺。是滿滿的汁和牛肉合體。燉煮技術好好,沒有乾和痴牙。煎蛋都很有火喉,仲會流心💯配菜有好種很懷念的味道。最神奇是菜雖然是軟吃下去是爽的。🌸🌸🌸肉卷外脆內,裡面多汁。食得出新鮮即製。小金杯好好食,裡面係有少少湯。做前菜好清新。仲有張相唔係我度。就係海南雞飯。出面食唔到既質素。係非常正爽脆多汁的肉質。奇妙的體驗。喜歡這道菜的人一定要試。請大家多多支持這間餐廳☺️❤️

Decided to branch out and try out Nyonya cuisine at Bibi & Baba, conveniently located at Wan Chai. Pic 1️⃣: Bibi & Baba’s Special Prawn Mee - $102 hkd 🍜 — A beautiful array of colours, flavours and textures in this bowl. Loved the combination of vermicelli and yellow noodles to give the dish a different dimension. Soup was very flavourful, and had a rich prawn taste to it, slightly spicy but definitely bearable. Could’ve been a bit more generous with the prawns, as they were served sliced in half

Decided to branch out and try out Nyonya cuisine at Bibi & Baba, conveniently located at Wan Chai.


Pic 1️⃣: Bibi & Baba’s Special Prawn Mee - $102 hkd 🍜
— A beautiful array of colours, flavours and textures in this bowl. Loved the combination of vermicelli and yellow noodles to give the dish a different dimension. Soup was very flavourful, and had a rich prawn taste to it, slightly spicy but definitely bearable. Could’ve been a bit more generous with the prawns, as they were served sliced in half as opposed to whole.


Pic 2️⃣: Hainanese Chicken (Half) - $178 hkd 🐔
— My favourite of the night! Chicken was super tender and moist, very well seasoned and flavourful. The dipping sauces that came with it were also delicious, and accompanied the chicken well.


Pic 3️⃣: Kueh Pie Tee - $78 hkd
— Super cute outlook! Had a nice crunch to it but wasn’t that flavourful. Most of the taste came from the coriander on top.


Pic 4️⃣: Vegetarian Fried Popiah - $78 hkd
— Slightly oily for me. The filling was nicely seasoned, but the spring roll was not as light and crispy as I hoped it would be.


Pic 5️⃣: Timun Sambal Salad - $68 hkd 🥗
— Loved this! Super appetising and addicting!! I couldn’t stop eating this despite the spice. The dried shrimp sambal was so flavourful and fragrant. Steer away from this if you can’t handle spice! 🌶


Pic 6️⃣: Vegetarian Nonya Chap Chye - $78 hkd 🥬
— Vegetables were cooked nicely and the dish was seasoned well. Small portion size and there were barely any glass noodles.


Pic 7️⃣: Ayam Goreng Istimewa - $128 hkd
— Expected more from this. Chicken was slightly dry and lacked flavour. Most of the flavour came from the crispy blue ginger.


Pic 8️⃣: Kueh Platter - $58 hkd
— Everything on this platter was super sweet! I didn't really enjoy the textures of some of the things on here 😂


Pic 9️⃣: Chendol - $58 hkd
— Overly sweet. Loved the creaminess from the coconut cream and chewiness of the mung bean jelly.


Pic 🔟: Cha Siu Man IPA (Lemon Ice Tea IPA) - $68 hkd 🍺
— An interesting beer. Really tasted like iced lemon tea which I enjoyed!

第五波疫情已經開始接近兩個月了,沒有晚市堂食,總要週末出來走一走,出來唞一唞氣。由於街上好多食肆都沒有開了,就走到船街來了。之前聽過有人說到這家 BiBi BaBa 還不錯,但一路也想不到合適的日子到訪。這天來到店子內還不是太靜且都有好幾枱客人,坐下了先知道原來他們星期天竟然還有set lunch,還只是$140一位,真的是生意難做。Set lunch 有小食和主食各一款。小食方面我們點了素菜春卷及小金杯,都很不錯,雖然是炸物,但香脆而不油膩。而主食方面我們則點了叻沙和海南雞飯,叻沙香濃出色,材料亦非常豐富;海南雞飯由於給了的是雞翼的一邊,吃的時候比較論盡,如果是雞腿或雞胸就較好了。不過飯味亦非常香濃,值得再次一試。另外這個set lunch亦包括了一杯飲品,有茶和咖啡的選擇,亦可選擇一些地道的東南亞飲品,在這個區來說都真的是頗為超值了。

服务也好,店员个个活力而热情,再补充一句,斜对面几步路的22 Ships(我超喜欢的tapas)也是JIA Group的餐厅哦。

I was recommended by a Malaysian to have a try of this authentic Nyonya restaurant.The restaurant looks cool and the team looks energetic.  I was seated at the bar table, which you could see them working at the middle.Lunch time was very full, they served lunch set at $140 with a starter, main and a drink.Both of the starters are tasty. These small plates are at $78 for a la carte, a bit pricey for an appetizer when comparing with the price of its noodles and some of its main courses.  So, it is good to try with the lunch set.

Bibi & Baba’s Special Prawn Mee – love its rich broth cooked with red prawn and pork bones.

會有啲出面無乜點見嘅馬拉菜,可以一試但唔會encore🙈Laksa, prawn noodle有好多配菜,配菜正常啦,但個湯底就比較一般,唔係好鮮甜同有啲淡,麵都唔係好掛到啲湯🙈Rendang beef: 燉到好嫩😋係幾好食但真係偏咸,跟飯食會比較好,同埋偏辣🙈Ngor Hiang出面係腐皮,入面有豬肉同一啲唔知咩菜?口感幾得意,因為有啲爽口野咬下Veggie同年初一食嘅齋菜好似🤣又係嗰啲蔬菜,同埋有南乳😂從來唔知nyonya都食呢啲🤣🤣鐘唔鐘意就睇個人🧐

叻沙用既係粗米粉,煙韌索湯,但太碎好難夾😓而配料有蝦、豆卜、魚片、蛋,豆卜有豆香,充滿湯汁好好食,蝦剝左殼食落好方便但蝦味好淡,魚片彈牙魚味一般,蛋亦冇蛋香😓以呢個價錢我期望配料會豐富同出色啲

重量超大的冰 偏清爽 為濃味的一餐作結剛好~ 吃到最後都已經吃不下了 特別喜歡其中的配料亞答籽 是一種植物的果實 甜甜的有點韌 帶膠質的感覺

Recommended here by a Malay friend, so we came with good expectations and we were not disappointed.Not the most “wow” Singaporean food you will ever have but definitely “staples done well”.The recommended dish is Curry Fish Head, if you like your fish heads. The Hainan Chicken was also very tender and tasty.

We had an ad hoc birthday dinner last week with some great buddies of ours. We were happy to secure a table at Bibi & Baba. The decor was beautiful on the outside, the inside had a bar vibe to it, with mostly bar seats with some tables surrounding it.We probably ordered everything on the menu, from satay to laksa, hainan  chicken to all of their desserts. We booked their singapore crab with singapore sling deal as well. It was okay, the sauce was spot on but the crab a bit small for that price,

We booked their singapore crab with
singapore sling deal as well. It was okay, the sauce was spot on but the crab a bit small for that price, and it came a bit later when we were pretty full.

Ngor Thang was crispy and delicious
We ordered one laksa to try, it was nongya style and very nice and soupy.

The hainan chicken was the best, super soft and tender.

I liked all of the desserts and we were lucky enough to have enough people to try all of them. My favorite was the chendol.

The only complaint was that our table was incredibly hot and I was sweating all night during dinner. They really need to bring in some fans or close up to the entrance to keep the place cool, especially when we were enjoying spicy foods.



Staff were super friendly and the vibe great, and we enjoyed our birthday celebration there.

Would definitely come again.

When there’s no hope for travel this year, we decided to come here and pretend that we are in Singapore/ Malaysia (at least for 2 hrs)🥲Speaking of Southeast Asian food, Laksa is definitely one of my favourites! Here their Nyonya Laksa Lemak ($102) didn’t disappoint! The soup was very rich, creamy and fragrant. Such a comforting dish😋 I also like their Ngor Hiang ($78), which are five-spice pork rolls wrapped with beancurd sheet, as well as the Grilled Satay ($88) (forgot to take pics😅). The Pork

Finally paid them a lunch visit after my bad experience with them on their first opening day. The service that day was very attentive and friendly that changed my mind. Guessed they have ran smoothly now‼️The 𝙉𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙮𝙖 𝙇𝙖𝙠𝙨𝙖 𝙇𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙠 was very nice with strong prawn flavour that lingered🦐 The balance of spice and coconut was archived that I very much enjoyed it. I also appreciate they cut the noodle so that you could eat with a spoon like the traditional way. While the 𝘽𝙚𝙚𝙛 𝙍𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙚 was pretty nice

The lunch set also included appetiser and drink. The 𝙆𝙚𝙪𝙝 𝙋𝙞𝙚 𝙏𝙚𝙚 (a puff with prawn and jicama filling) and 𝙑𝙚𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙣 (a spring roll) were both delicious.

Ordered an extra 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙡 for dessert. It was essentially a shaved ice🍧 with palm sugar in coconut milk. It was simple but so perfect for a summer afternoon. There were red bean and pandan jelly as condiments too! Highly recommend😝
