來到Bibo要留意的, 還是她那大量的當代潮流Artists的作品, 如Kaws, 奈良美智, Space Invader及Andre Saraiva等, 基本上來這裡是看作品多於吃飯吧! 這裡的菜式都是很Contemporary的西方菜式, 前菜出奇地都帶有強烈東南亞風, 特別是在醬料上, 例如是沙嗲醬配千層及帶子配喇沙醬, 味道濃烈但不過火. 主菜則是典型的當代風, 鮟鱇魚柳配上酸汁再加上火腿, 咸酸味道帶出了魚的油香; 燒鵪鶉肉質軟滑, 炭香較強, 炸鵪鶉蛋內裡流心, 水準和她的藝術展品一樣見得人. 甜品又是另一種路線, 是少見的中式元素, 日本桃配上腐竹和其汁液, 豆香和其甜味相映成趣; Dacquoise裡的Custard說是加了咸蛋, 但一點也不咸, 反而似是奶皇月餅的味道, 令我想起....中秋又來了! (笑)

For a fancy birthday dinner! We ordered a 6-step ‘food imagination’. The chef will ask your food preference in advance. As my friend is vegetarian, the set dinner are all veggie and seafood. The risotto is not risotto but a plant like celery, which is very tasty with a delightful taste of sea urchin. We enjoy this dinner very much!

文青朋友 提議 過來試試 日法式 fine dining入到餐廳 已經畀周圍嘅藝術品 同裝修 吸引住掛畫 雕像 形形式式 將餐廳形容為 小型藝術展覽館 亦不為過 因為 算係early dinner 時間尚早 第一枱客 咁我都行慢少少 欣賞一下餐廳佈置食物方面 不過不失 食咗八度菜 廚師發板 各有特色 冇話特別鍾意 同覺得特別好食 fine dining 法國菜 都係 presentation靚 食泡泡 同埋食唔飽 為主下次會約朋友 嚟happy hour因為呢度環境同氣氛 真係好舒服

再次到荷李活道開業了5 年的Bibo朝聖,一進門 Kaws 便向你打招呼,每件擺設皆是藝術精品。我和友人坐在吧枱,吧枱這支像真度極高的可愛老鼠很吸睛,看著它,喝著白洒,就是有種輕鬆、藝術生活的心情。我點了每天下午5:00-8:00供應的「oyster hour」,一杯精選白酒配3 隻oysters (加拿大、美國、法國產地的各一隻),盛為$98,絕對是不錯的happy hour 之選。生蠔質素不錯,不是頂級,但入口也鮮甜肥美,唊一口白洒,帶著微燻醉在蘇豪區chill 一下,星期日就是要這樣過吧!

賞心悅目在Bibo 門口研究了好一會,才知道怎麼打開門囗,進到餐廳。餐廳的每一個角落、樓梯、牆......都很有藝術氣息,充滿著玩味,我走了一圈看藝術品,非常賞心悅目。整個晚飯,每碟食物都好像藝術品,無論presentation 和味道也很出色!我們要了個3 course dinner, 由free開胃小吃、前菜、main、dessert 熱情果雲尼拿布丁 都很不錯。不過有感外間的中高檔路線餐廳,都越來越fusion, 越來越有驚喜,bibo 如果停留在「沒有驚喜、不會失望」的位置,那很快會被人遺忘了。

今次出個扼要精簡報告算今次我兩公婆同表妹兩公婆四個人食晚飯,大家都好滿意French fine dining 配合個輕鬆嘅環境 。服務方面有待改進,侍應嘅英文帶濃重嘅法國口音,加埋幾大聲嘅background music 根本完全聽唔到佢噏乜;未示意侍應已經埋黎落單兩三次實在唔恰當,而且大把吉枱根本無必要咁催客;主菜期間唔識主動換碟;到最後落檸檬茶又漏單(不過佢地好在主動free 左擰檬茶作賠禮) 。食物方面,六道菜嘅tasting menu要九百蚊一位唔抵,我地叫左五個前菜,三個主菜,六客甜品埋單連貼士至三千五點計都抵好多。

好朋友生日,想吃一頓特別的Fine dining , 最後終於選擇左上環荷李活道呢間叫Bibo既隱世法國菜。訂位時,由於我地訂的是8人枱,餐廳衹能夠供應6道菜的廚師發辦set dinner , 形式係Omakase style 但亦based on A La Carte Menu......即係法日fine dining ?! 甘都好既,因為既然都係廚師發辦,甘到時咪吾洗煩要點咩食囉!~六道菜出場時,大家都覺得每一道菜都好有驚喜,完全係藝術品既層次感,法國菜既特色係精緻細膩,加上日本菜既鮮味獨特,每一道菜都充滿着視覺上同咀嚼上的滿足,令人覺得成個晚餐都充滿着期待同驚喜,大家都食得好開心。同場仲有一段小插曲,朋友中有一位是pregnant, 我們要求餐廳特別預備另外6道菜給這位朋友,出來的效果都好好,每道菜都很合她胃口,沒有不適,盡顯餐廳的細膩心思。

有日經過上環,偶然發現呢間隱世法國菜小店,於是決定搵晚試下!因為book左檯,所以唔使等!沿著梯級下行,一路欣賞油畫同擺設,先唔理d野好唔好食,淨係環境都值回票價!因為果幾日佢都做緊set dinner,所以坐低等佢逐碟遞上黎,侍應好有禮貌咁逐樣菜式介紹,雖然D英文我聽得半懂不懂,不過殷勤服務就一定感受到!食物方面充滿法國情懷,雖然份量少(呢個都係法國菜特色),但佈置好考功夫,食落都係一流品味!總括黎講係無得彈既一餐!

Dined at Bibo for a close friend's birthday gathering and felt like I was dining in an art gallery. The eggplant, scallops, tuna toro, octopus, and waygu Miyazak were amongst the many things we ordered. Our favorite was the waygu. Overall, great service, cool decor, and amazing food.

Great cool and artsy restaurant.The scallop and abalone all had surprising twists to it and mains were delicious. Wagyu with sarasin pommel purée was my favorite . Service was very attentive with drinks and checking up on meal quality along with giving a detailed explanation (Ingredients, sauce etc.)  as to what you were eating before digging in.Overall really good experience.

My husband and I went to Bibo for date might in which the amazing art pieces created a perfect ambiance for as we love Kaws and Nara yashimoto! We ordered he oysters, pigeon, scallops, risotto, and Wagyu. They were all delicious, classically cooked with Asain interesting twists to each dish. Can't wait to be back again.

Bibo is a French fine dining restaurant located near the well-known stairs in Sheung Wan, with its entrance hidden on Hollywood Road. It did take us some time to find it, as well as a way to open the door to this artsy restaurant.We were greeted by modern art pieces once we entered the restaurant. In fact, the whole restaurant is decorated with lots of paintings, statues, and installation art pieces from famous artists. Second snack was a crispy cracker with chili powder sprinkled on top. The cracker itself was quite nice, yet the chili powder made the cracker a bit too salty for me.

First course was Scallop with Cauliflower and Haddock. There were three big pieces of meaty scallops. They were so fresh and juicy! Yum! What’s more, the creamy sauce in the bottom topped up the flavour of the scallops and made the whole dish really enjoyable.

Second course was Quail with Water Spinach in X.O. sauce. The quail was larger than I expected. It had crispy skin and was quite meaty indeed. I don’t normal opt for lots of seasonings, therefore, the X.O. sauce was kinda too salty for me. Nevertheless, the whole dish was very satisfying.

Third course was a dessert of Pineapple Genoise with Cream and Coffee Nibbles. I adored this dish most. The cake was soaked with pineapple syrup, which was so delicious! The cream and coffee nibbles just added texture and taste to the already amazing dessert. No wonder this is Bibo’s signature dish.

Thanks to Restaurant Week, I was able to try out this fancy restaurant without breaking the bank.

we ordered the tasting menu as the staff suggested. Bread 🍞 basket arrived before the courses, it is on the harder side but it was hot and fresh with a salty butter which came with it, we had two of this lol

first appetizer was the fresh Japanese fusion fish dish, along with corn 🌽 topped with some flower pieces. Just like an art piece.

second dish was the risotto which is not made with rice. Quite on the healthier side, and on top - truffle and cheese. Very special dish which I haven’t tried in other places before.

first main dish ‘wow’ us as the platting was like a sprint of art splashed on the plat - it was fish with sauce and green peas. This was great and I’m loving every single element on the plate.

second main surprised us, beetroot with wagyu beef. Never thought of a combination like this will match perfectly when you put it in the mouth 👄

last but not least, dessert 🍨, chocolate tart. It was so delicious!!! Overall, the meal itself was not outstanding but it was great & the experience itself is something that I’d recommend others to come and experience the vibe and the artistic side of a dining room.
