來到的時候差點找不到，因為外面搭著棚架，有點難發現。
進來之後頓時被餐車所吸引！！！！！這個跟外國那些售賣小食的貨車沒兩樣，在香港少見就覺得很有趣。不過在外國看到的櫃檯是完全大開，並不是分成數格。整個感覺還是讓人大叫新奇的，畢竟它是在餐廳裏頭。
環境實是舒適，有高枱椅又有低座。而且有多人大枱，更適合大夥兒來飲飲食食吹兩嘴。
半自助式程序，點餐之後會有一個大積木。置於桌上，其後職員會送餐上桌。而餐具及紙巾均是自取，早早在餐桌恭候。因此說到服務，沒有太多交流，但態度上還是不錯的。
Beet Fries $58
炸紅菜頭條果然是香脆酥感，拿上手還是熱燙的。紅菜頭原有的清甜愈是散發，青味不見，十分可口。炸完只有脆度，沒有多餘油膩感。沾上稠身濃郁的蛋黃醬，酸香幼滑，加上七味粉微微辣度，更是惹味。
Root Beer Float $50
根汁汽水不是自家製的，不說太多了。就是雲尼拿味汽水，入口溫和，沒有可樂的乸口刺激。至於雲尼拿味，說真的不算自然，不過未至於全然是藥水味。雲尼拿雪糕香滑利口，味道香甜，不會過份造作。雲尼拿味很親和，未及得上充滿雲尼拿籽的天然香氣，但還可以入口。
先來點小食熱身。
原條上檯的 Line-Caught Whole Red Snapper Tacos ($228) 鮮甜得很，更帶點燒烤風味，用Taco夾著魚肉﹑Saffron Rice 和幼滑的Refried Beans，別有一番風味啊。
USDA Flank Steak ($398) 偏熟一點但不失軟腍，但個人認為亮點在於7-layer Dip，味道層次豐富，滋味也。
個人很喜歡Holy Kimchi ($88)，Potato Bread 有點像Ciabetta ，但比其還要Airy，吃起來韌性較少，又帶點油香，夾著薄切咸牛肉和微辣爽脆的泡菜，實在惹味。
Spare Rib Taco ($148) 是當晚我最喜歡的菜式，因為慢煮牛肋肉極之鬆化，中央帶點膠質，吃起來軟軟糯糯，肉味香濃，愛牛之人不可錯過﹗
Tater Tots ($58) 炸得鬆脆，內裡的薯粒軟綿綿，很是香口。
Chicken Waffle ($88) 再配上3種芝士，賣相真的很吸引，可惜我手腳太慢，動手時發現它已被秒殺掉了，可見是有多美味，唯有下次再來吃吧！
香甜的Beet Fries ($58) 雖偏濕而非香脆形，但佔著散上七味粉的Mayo依然好吃。
Quesadilla ($78) 裡夾著半溶芝士﹑甜美的洋蔥和爽脆玉米粒，也不輸肉食啊。
甜品嚐了Icecream Taco，沒想到其中的雲尼拿雪糕軟滑冇冰粒之餘，Waffle Taco 依然保持脆身，加入椰絲和榛子香，簡單又美味。
Banana Nutella Waffle Sandwich 同樣吸引，不過那時實在太飽了，唯有下次再戰吧。
從上環走到中環，實在太小看當日的天氣。烈日當空下又要上斜路，不禁有點後悔的感覺。不過打開那陣門感受到那涼快的冷氣，悶意也隨即消走。店內的外國人非常友善，主動遞餐單給我們，於Boomshack可以無拘無束，讓在上班的日子過得輕鬆一點。
我想都沒想就選擇了Ice Cream Taco，哪管它飽不飽肚，當下當然是消暑最重要。在印有美式漫畫風格的包裝盒和紙把Ice Cream包裹著，只說那個美式漫畫的畫風，已經別具型格。
雖然有美式的漫畫風，但細心地能看到漫畫印有香港區旗，在充滿風格下也能加插香港元素，令人會心微笑。
Ice Cream Taco($40)以墨西哥卷的原理，以窩夫作為薄餅把雪糕圍著，再用朱古力醬封口，朱古力醬慢慢就會變成脆皮，脆皮層夾雜著花生，增添口感，首啖咬下去的感覺脆脆的，倒是挺有趣。
吃掉那層朱古力脆皮，香淳的雲尼拿雪糕就在Taco的內層了。起初，雪糕還未攤涼時還是硬硬的，大力咬都能咬出一口雪糕。但經過室溫與雪櫃之間的溫差，雪糕也漸漸溶化，變得軟身，更混雜著窩夫的脆口，非常好吃。
Vintage Burger ($78)看起來份量雖小，但小片的芝士味道濃郁，相當滋味，再夾上牛扒作主要材料，真是非常邪惡啊。而特別的是Boomshack的漢堡並沒有用一般的漢堡麵包，反用像烤多士的形式，也很特別。雖然沒有加入生菜，但感覺也不會特別的口乾，一流！
本想點個紅菜頭薯條，但怎料點錯了，那就將錯就錯試試這Tater Tots ($58)吧！可惜整口都似是充斥著油膩到不堪的炸粉，也不太吃到薯仔的味道，大概是薯仔和的味道不夠突出，跟炸粉混在一起也吃不出分別。味道和樣子不太討好，不是我的口味，可以直接跳過。
首兩款的食物也值得推介的，可惜某位員工的態度仍有待改善，也令我跟同事吃得有點不太愉快。會下次再「遠道」而來嗎？我想不了。
眼見套餐的選擇不算多，單點一個飽都要$80-90，而套餐就$118包( 野飲X1，炸紅菜頭X1 & Kimchi飽/ fish combo x 1)好似比較化算一點...
這天點了呢個Fish combo，味道好特別，裡面有椰菜絲&魚肉&菠蘿切丁，個汁酸酸甜甜配上芫荽有點墨西哥風味...
包裝盒內用了隔油層，外賣都唔怕漏汁，可保存耐d。
聽說紅葱薯條是健康食品，色澤金紅、香脆可口。Beet Root Fries $58
芝士漢堡包一咬肉汁四溢，回味悠長！
Artistic interior with lots of drawings. The design is very rustic and full of artistic vibe, you can never get bored while waiting for your food. The restaurant runs on a self service mode and the staff are really nice.
Comic like paper box, I was trying to understand the story though, although I think it may be more environmental friendly if a reusable container can be used for dine-in customers
Beet Fries was very crispy and crunchy. It is less greasy that I was expecting, the mayo has a kick to it with five spice added
This chicken waffle should be their signature dish with 3 cheese blend & ranch sauce. The waffle was slightly sweeter than expected, but it balances out with the slightly salted chicken fillet and the cheese sauce. We enjoyed it very much with our root beer!
The decor is quirky and colorful with an imitation of a food truck inside along with a few large and small wooden tables for seating.
For drinks, you can have your choice of weapon between beer, spirits or wine but I'm more of a cocktails kind of gal so I ended up trying a few of their cocktails which were all tequila based. I'm not usually a fan of tequila but all of their cocktails were quite delish to drink actually.
Habanero Corn ($90) - with ginger and tequila. This drink was sweet and spicy - great for those who love a spicy kick in their cocktails.
Mayan ($90) - with aji-amarillo, pineapple juice and tequila, this cocktail is perfect for those who love a sweet and fruity drink.
Holy Kimchi ($88) - with corned beef, house kimchi, cheddar cheese and baconnaise. OMG baconnaise! How can anyone resist bacon flavored mayo? But I thought this burger was a bit oily while the corned beef was a tad salty.
King Kong ($98) - with beef & spam patty, bok choy, provolone and XO mayo. I enjoyed the spam but felt that the beef patty could have been more flavorful.
Vintage ($78) - with house ground beef and three cheese blend, this is a ever classic burger with tomato, onion and pickle. It's a bit typical for sure but at least it never goes out of fashion.
TexMexican ($98) - with house ground beef, chipotle mayo, quinoa manchego, chili rellano, provolone and salsa verde. This was an interesting creation and I especially liked the chewy quinoa manchego cake but I thought this burger on the whole was quite light in flavor.
Beet Fries ($58) - one of the must-try items here - beetroot fries with kewpie mayo! The beet fries were a delicious shade of purple with a crispy exterior while the inside retained the freshness of the beetroot. It was sweet and soft which went perfectly with the kewpie mayo sprinkled with shichimi on top!
Tater Tots ($58) - this was a twist on the traditional tater tots with gouda cheese filling! Served with sriracha aioli, these were irresistible as they were light and crispy - I simply could not stop popping these into my mouth if not for my limited stomach space.
Kungfu Fish Taco ($88) - with pan-seared white fish, curry sesame dressing, sambol avocado, orange and mango, this was a refreshing option after the meaty burgers and fries.
Chicken Waffle ($88) - I was most excited to try this signature item here! While I wished the waffle could have been crispier, I loved how the fried chicken was slightly sweet with a honey taste which went quite well with the 3 cheese blend filling!
Ice Cream Taco ($40) - even though I was stuffed, I still had room for dessert! With vanilla ice cream, waffle cone and chocolate, the taste wasn't all that unique to be honest as it was just ice cream and waffle cone but the presentation itself as a taco left a more memorable impression. Maybe they can have different ice cream flavors to shake things up a bit.
Nutella Banana Waffle ($50) - no explanation needed: it's two pieces of sugared waffle with banana and nutella inside. It's nutella so nothing to complain here!
Verdict - hip, fun and exciting, Boomshack is the place to go if you want that food truck experience with a creative and off-beat menu.
These were addictive and moreish with the tasty salsa, guacamole and sour cream dips.
This is a new item with a colourful 7 layered dip made with refried beans, guacamole, cheese, salsa and olives.
The beef was juicy and delicious with the lime wedges that were given.

The beet fries are coated in cornstarch flour which gives them a lovely crispy coating while the beetroot is kept juicy and moist.
These were crispy mashed potato nuggets which had a nice crunchy and cheesy taste.
This is an improved version of the waffles I had before because the waffle is different and it had a nice sweet and savoury balance.
I liked this burger because it had spam in it.
