Amongst the dozen of cakes available, Sachetorte, the cake covered in dark chocolate icing and filled with apricot jam bad attractive me most. The chocolate sponge cake was moist and layered with rich chocolate with a kick of white rum, as supposed to the traditional black rum commonly used in Austria, and refreshing apricot jam. And the inner layer, the chocolate sponge also soaked up the apricot jam, not too soggy, get it has softened up the cake from the moist 😍😍😍.
The latte wasn’t really to my liking , the espresso was too strong and tasted a bit burnt 😕, but I like how to come with a sweet treat you find at most authentic Italian coffee shops. Here, you’re given a butter cookie 🧈
Also picked up a pistachio croissant, huge size! It come with a lovely pistachio cream, and a buttery dough, but the crisp didn’t last overnight. Had it for breakfast the following morning just to find that the airiness and flakiness had faded.
