The Bakery is not changing at all! I mean, I am always happy and satisfied with the bread, even though it's been a year already. I love this small, petite bakery with such a simple display, and I just have to grab quickly the bread I want -- The Almond mixed grain bread, the crossiants, the English bread, the baguette....I am not fond of flavours. I just like to eat bread and taste the pure taste of bread. Ceres must have a secret recipe! Coz I find the bread so different from other bakeries (even the upscale ones), in a way that it goes beyond ....well, bread just tastes like REAL bread here in Ceres, that's what I'm saying.
You will say: What's the point of going all the way from NT to KLN city just to buy a $30 dollar bread? Is it worthwhile?
I will reply: Any bread can make your stomach full without giving any joy to your bread-eating experience.
But Ceres' bread is a pure bliss. The moment you feel it in your mouth, you are softened and touched. You feel thankful, "OH, how wonderful this bread tastes like, it's a bread but it's a really really tasty bread. And I feel thankful for having this bread. Amen!" What a pure joy.
Every time I go to Ceres, I buy the bread not just for myself, but also for my family. I wanna share this spiritual bread-eating moments with my loved ones. After all, it's the kind of bread that makes you feel truly delightful!
I always go for the plain bread, for that unique softness and fragrance. Crossiants get strange every time I go, so I prefer the ones from Le Roubochon. You can be the judge yourself. After all, I'm just giving my own biased opinion : )
If you have time, do drop by their coffee shop next door, ppl are friendly there too. It's a shame I am always on a rush, always just grab my bread and go!
I cannot express how lucky I am to have found this bakery. so happy to have Ceres in my life, it....really does cheer me up from time to time. A joy to share. May it flourish and shine~ Amen!
