The Food:
Starter: For my starter I ordered potato skins. They were very crispy with melted cheese, sour cream, bacon bits and some spring onion to top it off. As I brought the food up to my mouth the smell of the bacon really overpowered everything else. As I put it in my mouth the sour cream spread apart and cooled down the hot potato taste. The spring onion was just a nice little condiment to top it all off I thought.
Main: For my main I had spaghetti with meatballs. When it was first brought out to me I really liked the original presentation, instead of having many little meat balls there where just two massive ones with a little bit of cheese sprinkled over the top. The sauce was a rich red color and smelt divine. When I tasted the pasta it was cooked to perfection.
Dessert: For my dessert I had a chocolate molten cake. The exterior was solid and firm but as I dug my spoon into it a warm gooey chocolaty substance come out. There was also a scoop of vanilla ice-cream on the side which I think worked really well with the dish because the molten cake was quite hot while the ice-cream cooled the mouth down. The texture of the outside of the cake was a little bit rough while the inside was a thick creamy substance that trickled down your throat as you swallowed it.
I saw many other appealing dishes that were being brought out to other customers and there wasn’t one thing that I didn’t want to try.
Overall I thought that the meal was very enjoyable. I enjoyed all three courses a lot and I would definitely recommend this restaurant! Its suitable for families as well as there is also a kids menu available which offers half portion kiddy sized meals which are great for the little ones.
