放假同友人閒逛中環,突然想食西式lunch就去了Soho看看有什麼好食。Openrice看到La Marmite都幾多好評又見不太多人就入去坐。環境很不錯,淡綠色的裝潢柔和舒適。坐底一會,侍應遞上一大張menu, 之前路經的餐廳都有offer set lunch...仲以為這裡都會有,點知無.....最後於大大張Menu Target了這部份。Order了差不多半個鐘先上碟,有點慢.......仲要催先話就快得。這是友人點的 Florentine HK$98, 我都試了少少,蛋是法國入口,都算有蛋香,但菠菜很淡口,包包亦沒有煎香,很普通.....所謂homemade的荷蘭汁偏酸,有總說不出的怪,不懂欣賞。唯獨幼幼的薯條還可以。我點了 CEufs au plat HK$159, 喜歡鵝肝的我試試這鵝肝煎蛋多士,煎蛋半熟,食時還有少少蛋汁流出,鵝肝不算大塊,而且煎得不夠香,反而底下的多士不錯,邊皮香脆,中間部分吸了鵝肝的油,軟軟的幾好食。總括而言,食材質素普通,簡單的煮法卻要等半個鐘先有得食,而且分量不算多,食完都不夠飽呢。。。以這價錢應該可以有更好的素質。

這是友人點的 Florentine HK$98, 我都試了少少,蛋是法國入口,都算有蛋香,但菠菜很淡口,包包亦沒有煎香,很普通.....所謂homemade的荷蘭汁偏酸,有總說不出的怪,不懂欣賞。唯獨幼幼的薯條還可以。

我點了 CEufs au plat HK$159, 喜歡鵝肝的我試試這鵝肝煎蛋多士,煎蛋半熟,食時還有少少蛋汁流出,鵝肝不算大塊,而且煎得不夠香,反而底下的多士不錯,邊皮香脆,中間部分吸了鵝肝的油,軟軟的幾好食。

總括而言,食材質素普通,簡單的煮法卻要等半個鐘先有得食,而且分量不算多,食完都不夠飽呢。。。以這價錢應該可以有更好的素質。

I came here because whenever I walk by it seems to have quite a few people and now that I have tried I don't understand why.Service was good.Had bacon potato salad as started, bacon was hard as rock but not crunchy but more like jerky.Beef Pasta main, quite nice, but the beef felt like it came out of can soup.Dessert was cheese cake which left a lot to be desired. The cheese cake felt like it had too much gelatin and it had texture of plastic/jelly like. Overall price was reasonable considering

Price was absolutely worth it for the lunch set. I had a creamy pumpkin soup and duck with potato scallops but by the time I was finished with my soup, I was already full. Sorry I meant once they gave us their delicious baguette with whatever spread it was, I was full. Love this place and the servers are nice.

My friend made reservations for this restaurant because one of her clients worked for the Aqua Group and said their lunch specials are pretty good. Obviously, I was excited since I hang out at Staunton St. a lot (lots of great bars there like Varga Lounge and Sashay ) and would love to discover more fancy eats there. When I jumped off the cab at around 1pm, I fell in the love with the beautiful, bright & open French facade of the restaurant. Our table was nice too because I had the perfect view

When I jumped off the cab at around 1pm, I fell in the love with the beautiful, bright & open French facade of the restaurant. Our table was nice too because I had the perfect view of the streets and the temperature was cool enough even with all the door opens (I can't stand to dine in a hot and humid restaurant--I would sweat bullets and trust me, people across from you would not enjoy THAT view ).

The prices of the lunch specials are pretty decent:
$98 for 2 courses out of 3 (appetizer / main course / dessert)
$118 for all 3 courses

First off, the complimentary bread was by far one of the best I've had. It was toasty hot, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. It came with butter and a very creamy but tangy dip on the side. We ordered an extra one after we devoured the first, and the manager, Helene, was happy to give us another one. I think we filled up on bread already after that.

I was ever a huge fan of chickpeas but I didn't like shrimp either, so the Chickpea Salad is the lesser of the two evil. HOWEVER, the chick pea salad is probably my favorite dish out of the whole meal--the dressing was absolutely delicious! It didn’t just have balsamic vinegar with olive oil, but it had herbs and something creamier and richer. LOVED IT!

I ordered the poached sea bream in butter & herb sauce because it seemed lighter for a workday lunch (I don't want to zzzZZZZZzzZzz after I return to the office
). The sauce was delicious and the fish was fresh even though I don’t feel too strongly for sea breams due to their stronger “fishy” taste compared to other fishes. Also, the fish came with the skin attached and that made the dish slightly less appealing (poached fish with skin makes it look slippery and a slimey—personal preference though).

After the main course, everyone was so full (probably from the bread) that we couldn’t even order the dessert. But, we did have a pleasant chat with the French manager Helene (also one of the designers of the restaurant’s menu). So, the whole dining experience was exceptionally pleasant and I will definitely go back again when I’m in the area

The wife and I dropped by for dinner and ordered the foie gras creme brulee, the pan fried foie gras, french onion soup and steak tartar. The fried foie gras was undercooked and the portion was tiny. French onion soup mostly consisted of bread rather than soup. Worst of all the steak tartar had a massive insect in it, when we complained to the chinese waitress she immediately picked up the plate and ran off with it, then after coming back asked us what we wanted to do about it. Worst of all the steak tartar had a massive insect in it, when we complained to the chinese waitress she immediately picked up the plate and ran off with it, then after coming back asked us what we wanted to do about it. We were like "what do you mean what we want? we are expecting you to apologize and respond with an appropriate gesture", to which she replied they are not going to do anything since it is an open air environment and they cannot control insects getting into the food. We told her to go away since she was not being helpful and subsequently a fat lady who presumably was some sort of manager came and said the same thing, by which time we were so pissed off that we told her to bugger off and get us the bill. If anyone reading this and despite the warning still visits this restaurant, remember to take a picture of the insects crawling in your food next time so that the restaurant can be reported to the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department for violations of the health code.

想食返餐RELAX既BRUNCH,大老遠出到去SOHO,行到近尾搵到依度,睇落幾舒服既地方,坐左係門口.2個人SHARE左2份.有EGG BENEDICT同PASTRY BASKET.只食面包好似悶左D,只食BENEDICT又好滯,依家SHARE就最正先講BENEDICT, 個包好鬆軟,CHEESE帶少少鹹,滯都停唔到口. 沙津有少少油,但係味道偏苦, 最後2個人都冇食晒. 而薯條好香薯仔味, 乾身冇油, 配上甜甜的茄汁, 好食.而個BASKET, 就有多士,牛角酥,朱古力酥. 配上牛油,2款果JAM. 包是暖暖的,又鬆軟,非常不錯.牛油一般,果JAM相信是自家製,有好多果肉在肉,配上多士,牛角酥都非常不錯,朱古力酥就不用了. 雖然對住路邊,但係過左休閒既2小時,加上食物味道都幾滿意.

Steak tartar with fries個人一向非常喜歡牛肉他他,來這裡吃一個午餐,環境非常舒適,有天氣日光照射。牛肉他他的肉質鬆軟,切得大小適中,配上自家調配的醬汁,帶點芥末的香氣,與手切的牛肉他他.非常合拍。

This is my third visit to this bistro, the atmosphere as well as the food keep me coming back again and again. A couple of my friends at this dinner have also eaten here before and their impression of this bistro is also quite positive.I was the only one who ordered a soup - baked onion soup with cheddar cheese. The Fregola pasta Bottarga style was a new experience for me, Bottarga is a Sardinian recipe for pasta using cured fish roe - exotic and unusual. The sea urchin emulsion was a daring addition which blended well with the pasta. It's probably not for everyone as sea urchin and cured fish roe are not widely craved by some of the people I know. nevertheless I thought it was the most inspiring dish of the evening.

都說我非常喜歡吃牛肉他他,而且也吃了不少不同的地方.這裡我也認為是不錯的.賣相很不錯,有大大隻蛋黃在牛肉上面.他他的調味亦是看得見的豐富.手刴牛肉,口感軟得來有彈性,證明是新鮮的.多種香料的調味,加上蛋黃,滑不溜口!唯一認為醬汁是有點多,如果可以少一點就更好!

這道小點是我試過最有創意的, cream brulee的賣相, 鵝肝的香味.
噢, 原來是凍的, 我本來以為是暖的. 可以放上隨碟的脆麵包片上一起進食. 美味!

最後少不了一個甜品作finish, 我們點了比較看得懂的Chocolate Fondant....... + Caramel Ice Cream.
心太軟是放在杯中的, 配合雪糕一起進食, 好match.

I love foie gras, so I definitely had to try their 'famous' foie gras creme brulee. It was really good - soft, sweet, yet still very much foie gras (and that melting and rich sensation it gives your mouth). It went perfectly with the dry and crispy sour dough. The other starter - baby artichokes, pan-fried foie gras and sausage was average. Lobster soup, normal. I quite enjoyed the lobster meat on top. Sea bass, good - rich, well-cooked.

I have no idea what this beef flank actually tasted like, because it was just covered in too much onion sauce. Personally, I'm not a fan of having rich sauces on nice steaks, because it really covers the true taste of it. Again, either supermarkets sell really good onion chutney nowadays, or the sauce on this beef just tasted too much like supermarket-bought chutney.

The Paris Brest was.. Strange. It might just be because I've never had anything quite like it before, but the pastry was cold and soggy. Is it supposed to be like that? I have no idea.

Other than that, a nice restaurant - good atmosphere, nice and friendly waiters who jumped at every opportunity to help or give their opinion.
