朋友選了這餐廳作午餐地點,由於天氣尚未很熱,而女孩子又怕冷氣太凍,於是我們選了戶外的座位,很舒適悠閒。午餐是半自助餐形式,前菜和甜品是自助的,當然款式不算太多,但已十分足夠,款式很大路,有沙律、煙三文魚等,甜品是幾款蛋糕、生果。主菜有多款選擇,我和一位朋友選了5成熟牛扒,另一位則選了羊架,由於我不吃羊在此無法品評,但朋友二人則都表示味道不錯,且肉質也鬆軟。而我的牛扒感覺有點超過5成熟,但也可接受,配以芥末醬味道不錯,值得吃的,加上餐廳環境舒適,很有忙裡偷閒感!

13:30 去到,人非常少,環境幾好,坐得又舒服。揀左個最平既main course - cream pesto linguine with mushroom. Salad bar同dessert 係任食~ quality比我expect既好~salmon都幾好, 菜fresh, sauteed mushroom 好食,有幾種cheese任食,麵包冇試,仲有一杯仔南瓜濃湯,非常好味!$128既set, main course以為會heahea地,點知又好好食,同埋main course唔會咁快上, 等我可以慢慢食salad埋單$140~ 其實都幾抵食,所有服務生都有禮貌,絕對encore!!!

有一陣子經常到Mr Steak用餐,吃得舒服晚餐Set中有一款可以滿足你三個願望,分別有Wagyu Beef, 400 Days Grain Fed Aberdeen Prime Steak和 USDA Rib Eye當中最愛Aberdeen 400 Days Grain Fed,牛味、肉質、肉汁也是我喜愛的程度!單吃不點任何Sauce也很夠肉味這個價位的扒房個人覺得Mr Steak算是質素比較好和穩定的一間P.S 甜品可免則免,要Service好的請坐入內

香瓜火腿:火腿咸香,但較韌,哈蜜瓜甜蜜!
海蝦木瓜莎莎意大利包:海蝦爽口但無乜味,木瓜莎莎蓉好甜,意大利包比較乾!
飛魚子煙三文魚沙律:好細兜,份量少,飛魚子卜卜脆,脆青瓜絲加煙韌煙三文魚!好食!

中層:和牛漢堡、鵝肝漢堡、焗英倫蟹肉盅
和牛漢堡:厚牛肉味重但較乾,麵包鬆軟!
鵝肝漢堡:鵝肝係Mr Steak強項,煎得外脆,中間充滿油香,好味!
焗英倫蟹肉盅:熱食,面有蟹肉芝士,下面嘅薯蓉先驚喜,又香又滑!

頂層:鮮草莓撻、芒果朱古力杯、3.6北海道牛乳布甸
鮮草莓撻:撻底脆口,吉士醬配爽新鮮士多啤梨好味!
芒果朱古力杯:芒果肉甜,朱古力杯香滑!
牛乳布甸:牛奶味香濃,布甸香滑!

熱檸茶:我已經食到中段先叫,賣相好精緻,一啖就無,唔夠喉!加上今日天氣凍,所以凍得好快!


其實呢個hightea以咸點為主,嗜甜點嘅肥髀就唔係咁興奮!不過所有店員都好nice, 地方又舒服,所以我就好滿意!
咁嘅價錢享受到嘅質素!只需要埋單比多$20!

They did not serve the steak in a hot plate and everything got cold pretty quickly. my wife had a $400 USDA prime ribeye that is around half the thickness of what I expected (we all know a good steak must be at least an inch or slightly less to be cooked properly right?). my sister had a cheap pasta, we all thought that was awesome.
service: top notch, very attentive, both english and chinese. we were supposed to have a minimum charge for the "private" room but even though we missed by 2-300 they let us off.
deco/ambience: this is still causeway bay "foodstreet" its more for casual dining rather than a fine dining
overall value for money: i think this place is awesome for some snacks and happy hour, but i wouldn't pay this money for the experience here. i'd pay a bit more and stick with a proper fine dining steak house in central.

最後到甜品....上枱一刻, 又係呆左一呆....甜品都咁樣一碟拼盤形式上枱?

比高分, 係因為個布甸, 係真係好滑同埋好香奶味....真係好好味....全枱人都係瞬間就清左個布甸...
相比之下, 另一款甜品就變得好普通, 無論賣相同埋味道都係一D都唔突出既泡芙...不過因為布甸太好味既關係...所以都係比4分.

其實, 全晚既service 都好好, 食物方面, 咁既價錢, 有咁既質素, 已經算好唔錯.
只係, 如果可以改善埋D presentation, 會令成件事更加加分, 始終..食, 都係一個整體既享受.

Wanting a quick meal away from the 7s crowd, we headed to the Food Walk and, having never tried Mr. Steak, decided to give it a go. The initial welcome was attentive - we were shown to a table and napkins placed on our laps. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of this restaurant.My partner started with crab cakes. Not the best she'd had, but perfectly edible. Well presented, but a touch over-fried. However, when the salmon main came out, it wouldn't have been out of place in a sushi restaurant

Wanting a quick meal away from the 7s crowd, we headed to the Food Walk and, having never tried Mr. Steak, decided to give it a go. The initial welcome was attentive - we were shown to a table and napkins placed on our laps. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of this restaurant.

My partner started with crab cakes. Not the best she'd had, but perfectly edible. Well presented, but a touch over-fried. However, when the salmon main came out, it wouldn't have been out of place in a sushi restaurant. The fish was just off rare. We raised this with the waitress, requested it be cooked further and were informed that this was how salmon should be cooked. Aside from the fact that we didn't expect to be lectured by the waitress, my family used to produce some of the world's best smoked salmon, so I am pretty familiar with how this particular fillet should be served.

Nonetheless, they took the fish away and brought the plate back. The fish was now perfectly cooked. However, either they had used a microwave or placed the whole serving plate under the grill, as my partner described the accompanying polenta as 'nuclear' - so molten hot the US army could use it as napalm.

I started out with the pork belly. The taste was fine, but the texture was tremendously fatty. I appreciate that the belly pork is fatty by nature, but much of this should render during cooking. Perhaps I was just unlucky on the night, but they seemed to have cut the fillet so that it included very little meat. Given how many restaurants in Hong Kong get pork belly right, this was a real shame.

My main was beef cheeks. On the upside, there was plenty on the plate. On the downside the cheeks were overcooked and bland, with the sauce adding little flavour. Beef cheeks are meant to be a delicate, beautiful food, but this was like chewing my way through rubber.

In short, this was one of the least impressive meals we've had in Hong Kong in the last few years. Mr. Steak prices itself in the same bracket as steak houses like Tangos, but on this evening delivered none of the class and flavour you get with these other venues. If you're looking for a good meal in this price-range, go somewhere else.

came here at tea time and didn't expect there would be actually an afternoon tea set offering! Top - 
Chocolate fudge cake: a little too sweet, but done well in its texture
Icecream (for the waffles): normal icecream in vanilla flavor
Cream puffs: milky cream inside! Not great but still a nice sweet choice

Middle - 
Wagyu beef burger: could be done better for the beef steak as Mr Steak is well-known for its beef products
Foie gras burger: my boyfriend had it

Escargot with black truffle and mashed potato: yumyummm! escargot was a bit overcooked but the black truffle had such a strong taste and went well with the mased potato. 

Bottom - 
Waffles: too hard to chew but the icecream helped soften a bit. Not recommended though.
3 white breads->
Parma ham:not too salty, just so-so
Salmon: always the best combination with bread! Fresh enough 
Duck breast: savoury, like it how it was roasted and tasted just fine

Will come back for the lunch and dinner sometime

 朋友的定義是快樂高興的時候, 可以分享; 孤獨寂寞的時候, 可以相伴, 一起的時候, 最好是把酒談歡!我們的單身快樂時代, 不知到何年何月才會消失, 珍惜現在最好的時光, 最害怕是年華老去, 光陰不復返, 想一醉解千愁都力不從心, 我們來到銅鑼灣的名店坊, 食肆林立, 最近的一間坐下, 最開心的是有Happy Hour, 但其實happy hour便宜多少, 我們從來都沒有問, happy hour只可以坐outdoor, 但是吸煙區, 不抽煙的我有點難受, 但氣氛還可以吧! 點了兩杯house red, 只是酒精的味道, 沒有什麼可言, 總有些下酒菜, 我們最喜歡的生蠔, 有兩款, 大小差不多, 有海水味, 很鹹, 不夠濃味, 肉質有點削;雞泡魚乾, 醬汁燒得不錯, 下酒菜之選! pork belly, 半肥瘦間著的豬腩肉, 咬下去有點硬, 但醬汁蓋著還可以吧!說著說著已經過了一個early night了!

pork belly, 半肥瘦間著的豬腩肉, 咬下去有點硬, 但醬汁蓋著還可以吧!說著說著已經過了一個early night了!

知道朋友喜歡High Tea,所以喺團購網見到呢個套餐就即刻買咗相約嘗鮮,由原價$299 減到$138 + $13.8(加一服務費),因為團購野食都一定要早幾日Book定,所以都醒水早成個星期打去,當然輕輕鬆鬆有位。不過去食當日因為未去過呢間,所以都搵咗幾分鐘,因為門口唔係向大街,所以行咗成個圈先發現到入口。可能嗰嗰時段都係食呢個High Tea團購,所以我係第一位入場嘅客人,所以見到之後入嚟嘅客人都係叫呢個Tea Set。講翻環境真係唔錯,高貴、整潔,名副其實嘅高級地區食府,重點係門口對內街,睇翻出去個View幾好,而且亦比較靜。整個Tea Set共有3層,雖然外表睇落去唔係頂級精緻,不過看起來都相當唔錯。頂層嘅就係「英國皇室朱古力餅」、「比利時窩夫伴特級雪糕」嘅雪糕同「咖啡忌廉泡芙」, 雪糕溶得好快!而且同窩夫分開左放,令我完全唔記得左係一齊食嘅,所以就先食咗雪糕先。朱古力餅成塊朱古力磚咁,甜得好過份,要飲水沖淡翻浸味。反而個咖啡忌廉泡芙味道平衡得幾好,值得一讚。中層嘅就有「日本和牛漢堡」、「法式鵝肝漢堡」、「焗田螺伴黑松露薯蓉」同「芝麻脆蝦方塊」,漢堡只算係不過不失,反而焗田螺薯

最底層嘅就有3款唔同嘅香草蕃茄包(煙三文魚、蜜桃鴨胸、巴馬火腿),味道唔錯而且塊包幾鬆軟,意外地好食。而原本伴雪糕食嘅比利時窩夫就唔知點解放左係呢層,雖然無咗雪糕,但估唔到就咁食窩夫都好夠味,而且烘焗得軟硬度適中,第一次食到咁好食嘅窩夫。

Tea Set仲包2杯餐飲,就叫咗凍咖啡同凍檸茶,雖然就唔會有咩特別,但高級食店質素你明嘅。

整體嚟講可以百幾蚊有得High Tea,質素絕對唔差,而且份量算係多,我同朋友無食Lunch都食飽咗,加上咁靚環境,如果再搞團購真係要再戰!

很少會使用團購來買美食,看到是次有團購下午茶,而且打著mr steak的名號,便買來一試。甫一進入餐廳,感覺不錯,眼見左右都是在吃同一款的下午茶,就知道大家都是衝著這個團購下午茶而來。不消一會兒,waitress已經將下午茶放上台面。上層是甜品,中間是漢堡薯蓉,下層是各款包類和窝夫。先吃最下層的..包括有3文魚﹑鴨胸﹑巴馬大腿我覺得3款包的賣相都不錯看,但是包有點太乾身了,吃起上來并不鬆軟。但是3文魚算新鮮,鴨胸與蜜桃也是合襯的!所以味道均不俗窝夫過於乾身,而且更是毫不鬆脆,馬馬虎虎中間的是和牛漢堡﹑鵝肝漢堡及黑松露薯蓉!鵝肝漢堡-中間大塊的鵝肝乍看之下非常像雞扒,一刀切下去,才重新確認是鵝肝!鵝肝味蠻濃~~配會鬆軟的漢堡包,確是不錯!相反和牛漢堡,看上來牛肉乾身,吃上口也依然乾身,牛肉味的確是有,但是真的太欠肉汁!!脆蝦多士-很美味~~很脆而且蝦膠打得紮實!不過有點過油整個下午茶最美味的,我會認為是黑松露薯蓉。薯蓉焗得熱騰騰,配以味道極香濃的黑松露醬,非常滋味!!!最後是甜品層因為雪糕很快便會溶化,所以一上桌就先吃了。(本來應該是要配合窝夫的)vanilla味道不錯,蠻幼滑濃郁。咖啡

我覺得3款包的賣相都不錯看,但是包有點太乾身了,
吃起上來并不鬆軟。但是3文魚算新鮮,鴨胸與蜜桃也是合襯的!
所以味道均不俗

窝夫過於乾身,而且更是毫不鬆脆,馬馬虎虎


中間的是和牛漢堡﹑鵝肝漢堡及黑松露薯蓉!

鵝肝漢堡-中間大塊的鵝肝乍看之下非常像雞扒,一刀切下去,才重新確認是鵝肝!
鵝肝味蠻濃~~配會鬆軟的漢堡包,確是不錯!
相反和牛漢堡,看上來牛肉乾身,吃上口也依然乾身,牛肉味的確是有,但是真的太欠肉汁!!

脆蝦多士-很美味~~很脆而且蝦膠打得紮實!不過有點過油
整個下午茶最美味的,我會認為是黑松露薯蓉
薯蓉焗得熱騰騰,配以味道極香濃的黑松露醬,非常滋味!!!

因為雪糕很快便會溶化,所以一上桌就先吃了。(本來應該是要配合窝夫的)
vanilla味道不錯,蠻幼滑濃郁。
咖啡忌廉泡芙-我覺得味道還好,可能加上放得有點久,所以表皮都全軟了

朱古力餅-我反而很喜歡~原因是它是屬於硬身的朱古力餅,加上裡面有滿滿的果仁,
吃入口,即感覺到有層次的味道~不會過甜。剛剛好


團購的這個下午茶我覺得不過不失啦~~
但是享有了一個愉快的下午就已經很好啦~

落開銅鑼灣,就順便喺度食埋lunch。知道Mr. Steak Grill既lunch有semi-buffet,價錢又OK就黎試吓~自助salad bar選擇都算多,有生菜、蕃茄、青瓜、粟米、菠蘿、紅菜頭、荳芽、薯仔沙律、蘋果沙律等等,仲有芝士、煙三文魚、蝦、青口等,食完都飽左一半了。主菜係忌廉青口大蝦意大利飯, risotto尚算煙韌,個忌廉汁好好味,大蝦亦好爽口彈牙;分量一般,但味道都唔錯。輪到甜品喇, 有唔少選擇,樣樣都好似好好食咁!有焦糖燉蛋、tiramisu、朱古力蛋糕、曲奇餅、cheesecake等,全部都好好食,而且樣樣都細細件,可以試多幾款。雖然有dessert bar,但佢會額外送多個朱古力心太軟。個心太軟真係有朱古力流心架,好sweet好好味!最後到飲品,除左普通的奶茶咖啡之外,仲可以轉其他款既咖啡,唔洗加錢架!我點左一杯mocha,味道都幾特別! 以哩個價錢包括沙律、主菜、甜品同餐飲,而且味道唔錯,又可以坐得舒舒服服,感覺幾好!

With the ever-rising rental costs in Hong Kong, it is only understandable that some restaurants have to resort to increasing the prices they charge or cutting down on food costs. Under such market conditions, I am impressed by certain restaurants that are still able to serve decent food without charging extortionate prices, and Mr. Steak Grill is one of them.

Mr. Steak Grill is run by Mr. Steak Concept group, who also owns other restaurants in Hong Kong, including Mr. Steak Cafe, Mr. Steak Buffet à la Minute and Mr. Steak Seafood. Even though I am normally quite picky when it comes to food, I was surprised by the high quality of food that I recently had at Mr. Steak Grill, particularly given the reasonable prices.

Mr. Steak Grill was the first restaurant to introduce dry-aged steaks in Hong Kong. The decor of the restaurant is modern and laid-back, and my friends and I had an enjoyable dinner gathering in the private room of the restaurant, which can accommodate up to around 10 to 12 people (there is no minimum spend for the private room). We had a customized 5-course dinner menu at the restaurant and shared a few extra dishes from à la carte menu, and ended up only paying around $500 per person (including service charge), which was a bargain. The flavours of the dishes have been slightly adjusted to accommodate local preferences, but were still delectable.

(1) We started off with a Seared Sea Scallop with Garden Salad & Citrus Dressing, which was light and vibrant. The scallops were plump and delicate, and some greens and orange added summery flavours to the dish.

(2) The second course was the Grilled Zuwai Crab Leg with Seared Labeyrie Duck Foie Gras. The crab leg was marvellously grilled, and the foie gras had a skillfully seared, crispy surface; my only complaint was that the piece of baguette was not crunchy enough.

(3) Our third course was two half-portions of soup. The Sweet Corn Bisque with Puff Pastry was sweet and alluring, with a moreish puff pastry which was buttery and flaky. The Tuscany Vegetable Soup was hot and full of flavours.

(4) We ordered a bucket of Mussels in white wine cream ($198) from the à la carte menu, and the Australian mussels were huge and tasted incredibly fresh. The white wine cream was enticingly rich, and was best eaten with the baguette.

(5) One of the main courses was the A4 Saga Wagyu Beef with Grilled King Prawn Cajun Style. Simply seasoned with some salt and pepper, the Wagyu Beef melted instantly in the mouth. A4 and A5 are the top two classes of Wagyu Beef determined by the Japanese Meat Grading Association, so we were delighted to be able to eat these premium steaks at our dinner. The King Prawn, also minimalistically reasoned, was firm and tasty.

(7) I have visited Mr. Steak Grill several times before, so when it was time for desserts, I knew that I was in for some pretty amazing treats. Our dessert platter comprised of two of the restaurant's signature desserts, the Royal Chocolate, Mixed Nuts & Dried Fruit Biscuits Cake and the Hot Soufflé. The Biscuits Cake tasted like a cold, hardened fudge cake - it was indulgently rich, with a strong chocolate taste and some mixed nuts and dried fruits adding extra crunch. The soufflé was fluffy and ethereal, and the level of sweetness was just right. There was a hint of ginger in the sauce, which gave the dessert a nice kick.

(8) We ordered the Gratin Pancake with Fresh Mango ($88) in addition to our set menu - yes, we were very hungry that day! The pancake had a soft and stretchy texture, and the baked surface was scrumptious.

Mr. Steak Grill is a relaxing, cheerful venue that can satisfy your carnivorous cravings at very budget-friendly prices, not to mention that they also serve sinfully addictive desserts. Just like we did, you could customize your set dinner by picking your favourite dishes from the à la carte menu. Come with an empty stomach or don't come at all!

It was my moms burthday and we decided to go out for a fancy lunch buffet. My dad then told us about this resturaunt in Cleveland Street so we decided to pay there a visit. We arrived at 12:00 to eat the semi-buffet (meaning that you can order one main dish and then serve yourself with a limited salad bar and dessert bar) The atmosphere was nice and quiet, there was barely anyone dining at the moment. Main Course also comes with a tiny cup of mushroom soup and a drink. If you only serve yourself to the salad and dessert bar you need to pay $108 (meaning that obviously, it is alot cheaper to order one delicious main course
 

We sat down and helped ourselves on the salad bar. The choices of fruit salads, appl and potato salad and leafy greens were delicious and fresh. There was also smoked salmon, mussels, clams and shrimp. But i thought those were not that fresh

We ordered 5 main courses (one per person)
1 normal ribeye steak ($198)
1 Aged Grain fed 400 days Aberdeen Prime Rib eye Steak (Signature dish) (around $350-$400 i dont really remember)
1 chorizo and tomato fettucine ($128)
2 cheesy Angel hair with lobster and scallop ($280)

After tasting the noraml ribeye steak, we were not too satisfied with the taste. It was not very outstanding at all. so we were tempted to order a more expensive and exotic steak, hoping for it to be amazing. But it was TERRIBLY dissapointing. I could not tell the difference between the 2 steaks. Even a $70 steak from a supermarket taste better cooked by my mum (and shes not a great cook).

But boy the angel hair was a treat! I loved it. With genourous amount of the seafood and good quality noodles.

Usually after a buffet, dessert is not too enjoyable, beause you already feel so bloated you were about to pop. This is what I thought, but I was wrong. I couldn't stop eating despite how full I was. The desserts were amazing.

Pictured here is:
Tiramisu - great coffee and mascarpone flavor
Brownies - a little bit too dry, ut very chocolatey
Green tea panna cotta - strong matcha flavor, nice and smooth
Creme brulee - delicious, but unfortunately it was served cold

APPLE CRUMBLE- BOY, THOSE WERE DEFINATELY THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY. I would come again to eat plate after plate just for this delicious apple crumble. The apples are sweet and acidic but not too tart. The crumble was cinnamon-y and crunchy and perfect. Both blends in like a tast a heaven melting in your mouth. With a drizzle or vanilla sauce... URGHHH I CAN'T EVEN USE WORDS TO DESCRIBE IT!!!

so here you go, overall i thought it was a good semi-buffet. I would definately come and eat again.
