I had visited “Trattoria Caffe Monteverdi” for dinner a few years ago. The dining experience was great but pricey. Therefore, I am not a frequent customer. Only after dining at its branch at Central in October, I planned to visit Sai Ying Pun shop again! And I finally did it in 2021😁. 之前我曾經係度食過晚飯,用餐體驗唔錯,但定價較貴,所以唔係成日幫襯。十月果陣去完中環分店食飯後,我就再次萌生去多次西營盤店嘅念頭!終於我喺2021年去咗食晏😆。Although SYP shop is much much smaller than Central branch, cosy environment is still available here! Although SYP shop is much much smaller than Central branch, cosy environment is still available here! I like the candle light🕯, the flowers bucket and table mat. 雖然西營盤店比中環店細得多,但環境其實都幾舒服,裝修用上蠟燭燈🕯,花花同枱布等,帶點復古嘅感覺。
Lunch set is provided even on weekends and prices are reasonable! A set includes soup or salad, main, drinks and dessert. There are 6 choices including pasta, fish and steak. But I was definitely up for pasta🍝. 餐廳假日都有提供午市套餐,價錢合理!套餐包括湯或沙律,主食、飲品同 甜品。午餐有六款選擇,包括意粉、魚同牛等。不過嚟得呢度,我絕對係嚟食意粉🍝。
Bread bucket 🍞 was immediately served after we got settled. 我哋坐低無耐,店員就隨即送上麵包籃🍞。
Pumpkin soup was the 🎃 daily soup. 是日餐湯係南瓜湯🎃。
Friendly staff offered us an additional salad 🥗 because he knew we shared meals. 店員好好人,知我哋Share食,仲送咗份沙律🥗比我哋。
Linguine Boscaoila ($138/ lunch) with sausage, mushroom and cream sauce was our first pasta. At first glance, it looked like Aglio e Olio 👀. Linguine tasted creamy and nicely served with minced pork. We expected the taste of the next dish would be stronger than the linguine. Therefore, we chose to finish this pasta first. 佢係我哋點嘅第一道Pasta。麵條用上扁意粉,配料有肉碎、蘑菇同忌廉汁。意粉個樣睇落有啲似蒜香意粉🤔,不過實際上唔係。我哋預期佢應該會淡味過另一碟,所以決定食佢先!
Chittara spaghetti with saffron cream sauce and shrimps ($220) was our second pasta. I always wanted to try this! Not surprisingly, both the pasta and sauce were good. Spaghetti alla chitarrra was a special one. Its texture was unique and I felt like steer-foam🤣. Little shrimps were added to make this not vegan food. I finally realised my wish to try this haha. 佢係我哋點嘅第二道pasta。呢碟嘅麵條比較特別,因為質感好彈牙,有啲似魚麵,又有啲似發泡膠🤣。重口味醬汁同意粉都好食,而且加咗啲蝦仔就令意粉冇咁單調。
Panna cotta was the daily dessert. It never disappointed me 🍮. 是日 甜品係🍮奶凍,口感超滑、超細軟,再次無令我失望。
A coffee ☕ marked an end to my relaxing Sunday late lunch. 最後,飲埋咖啡就為休閒午餐畫上句號☕️。
To conclude, I was more than happy to visit Monteverdi again. I really appreciate how chefs pair the pasta and sauce. No doubt to recommend this if you want an authentic Italian cuisine ☺️. 總括嚟講,我好開心再次到訪Monteverdi。我好欣賞廚師會將唔同款式嘅意粉同醬汁配對,唔係所有汁都用同一隻粉。如果您想食正宗意大利菜☺️,不妨到此一遊。
