be primed to bookmark this tranquil cafe library - 𝙑 𝙞 𝙗 𝙚 𝙨 𝙩 𝙝 𝙚 𝙋 𝙡 𝙖 𝙘 𝙚 , with the sole intimate vibe all over the place. once stepped in, you have magically disconnected with the outer world - unwanting to leave this paradise, this forest in the middle of the crazy city.
a minute walk from sai ying pun b2 exit would bring you to this lovely, vintage-y, restful utopia you could never find in anywhere else in hong kong. this cafe serves nourishing light meals from slow cooked beef shin, keto foccacia toasts to greek yoghurt cheesecakes and vegan tiramisus.
walk in and you will be fascinated by their brownish, metallic furniture and props. this cafe mollifies all your anger and hastes (or, at least mine). when you're just sick of the work in front of you, simply lift your head up and take a deep, salubrious breath and look around the placid environment. it's near-perfect for studying, only that they lack wifi due to reconstruction problems.
if people say cheesecakes without cream cheese are mediocre, i'd surely mention this exception - greek yoghurt as its filling: viscid, whip-textured yoghurt topped with strawberry jam - tarty yet occasionally you bite into nips of strawberry seeds which gives you a sharp crunch. the base is formed with sticky, buttery digestive biscuits - summing up into a perfect indulgence to those who wants feign "cream cheese" cheesecake.
i am never a fan of tiramisu so even though it already tastes less sweet due to its use of dark chocolate and vegan components, it's still overly sweet for me. nevertheless, the subtle crunches of chocolate chunks did made me smile ◡̈ it's not an ordinary tiramisu. it's a vegan tiramisu. a cup made with love.
tried crackpot korean chicken accompanied with cous cous that is a rather bland but healthy choice of grains. the jar comes in smoll portions but filling, chicken comes in small bites - piquante and tangy.
matcha latte was so-so. a bit too sweet but smooth. they specialise in tea as well, so do try out their singing bowls, a new experience to sooth your soul and find inner peace.
