Never have I been so frustrated after eating a meal. I will never go to this over-priced, trashy food, awful decor restaurant ever again. The owner should be shameful for opening such a restaurant.Was browsing through Soho for dinner on Saturday night. Came across this restaurant and thought would give it a try...the restaurant was half empty and we waited for over 30 minutes for our three dishes...Ordered Singaporean noodles (cost around $100), the noodles stuck together with MSG flavoring and no content. You would think paying that price for fried noodle they would at least give you normal prawns or meat...There was a total of 3 prawns smaller than a 10 cents coin. The whole dish was vegetable scrap and noodles...Ordered their so call "Famous" beef....(Cost $188), a total of 4 blocks of beef which was covered in satay sauce...no meat taste, the sauce was disgusting....The restaurant was opened by an unknown model (I knew because the walls were covered with newspaper clippings. I am not sure how much the owner had to pay to get the placements there) I just want to know if she actually tasted the food from her restaurant before....she should just close it down for the well-being of Soho. 繼續閱讀

I found this restaurant while wandering around and thought I would give it a try.  It was completely empty which I thought was because it was still a bit early for dinner. Maybe everyone else knew to stay away. I ordered a lime soda, nasi goreng, and the satay sampler. All started out well. The lime soda was perfect. The nasi goring was very so-so...perhaps I should have asked for it spicier. The first few satay also tasted fine. Chicken was fairly good, steak just ok.  Then, I decided to try one last bite to see what I thought of the pork satay. That was a mistake. As soon as I started chewing, I could tell the meat had gone off. It was sour. I spat it out but the damage was done.  The next morning, i awakened early with an upset tummy that lasted a few days. Not pleasant, especially while travelling from place to place on business. Needless to say, I wilL not return.  繼續閱讀

Ordered beef rendang for lunch, and my half ordered S'pore noodles.We both know the dishes very well after more than a decade spent in this region of the world.Singapore noodles were average. Not the right choice of chili to me, and prawns were not very fresh.Beef rendang: huge disappointment, nothing compared with the Thai / Indon open restaurant in LKF, which is not already great. No flavour of coconut, not spicy, and beef was chewy and very fatty under a chunk of dry garlic. Rice was plain and too dry. Terrible experience.Drinks ? No fresh juices are available.Decor : pretty poor and random. Lights give a yellow look to the plate which isnt too nice.Staff was friendly though.Overall, i had high expectations to try this restaurant, and was very disappointed. Its a poor range of South East Asian dishes which are mastered at all at least for these 2 common dishes.Pergi ! 繼續閱讀

九月下旬‧晴跟我的前任上司吃午餐,地點選了這裡。因為想吃印尼菜,而在中環區差不多是唯一選擇之餘,這裡的水準也頗不錯的。還有的是在這裡吃東西用某Apps是有85折優惠的,真正一舉幾得。一時多到來,這裡人客不多,只見主理人蘇太在打點,是個氣氛悠閒的下午。舊同事先來,已醒目的要了沙爹及印尼炒麵,那我加個醬蛋豆腐及巴東牛肉就可以了。沙爹先來,除了賣相好之外據蘇太介紹還不是籍籍無名的,因為是CNN選出來的世界第十四位美食。是日要了的是雞肉,鬆軟而最好吃的就是沙爹汁,夠香而且甜美,只是如果熱度再足一點就更好。我很喜歡吃這裡的醬蛋豆腐,其實這就似是我們的潮式蠔餅,同樣是以鴨蛋為主不過就將蠔仔換上了豆腐粒,聞起來是香味十足的。蛋煎得鬆軟而配上清爽的豆腐粒那吃起來就不會太膩。這味菜配上的沙爹汁又跟串燒是不同的,同樣是香但味道帶甜,配合豐腴的煎鴨蛋就更好吃。巴東牛肉是餐牌上的大廚推介,以我來說其實都吃了好幾次。這裡的特色是不像坊間的店子用牛展,這裡用上的是牛腩,但因為炆煮得夠火候所以肉質鬆化而且入味。醬汁同樣是香味十足的,不過比較起之前的兩款就有一點辣味,吃起來就更惹味。吃著這個美味的巴東牛,缺少的就只是一碗白飯。都不要說,在香港吃了不少版本的印尼炒麵(Mie Goreng),坦白說我也不太知道那個才是最正宗的。這裡的用上的是粗蛋麵,加入蝦、菜及蛋絲再以蔥及蒜去調味。比較濕潤卻也夠味,雖然跟我們乾身有鑊氣的炒麵有分別,但易入口之餘也好吃的。這裡的食物份量十足,吃了不少但剩得也多,唯有請舊同事統統包走遲些再吃。餐後來一杯印尼茶,味道不算濃烈也是清清的,幾有趣的味道。埋單四百多,將帳單拍照再上傳就有八五折優惠,划算。朋友,世事多變,多多保重。 繼續閱讀

「So Bali」位於蘇豪伊利近街,吃正宗由印尼師傅主理的印尼特色菜,開業一年多。餐廳其中一個特色就是油畫處處,有不少更是 artists 的作品,例如江欣燕、林志美等等。能跟朋友邊吃邊喝邊欣賞油畫,不是一件很美麗的賞心樂事嗎?「加多加多沙律 Gado Gado」$78吃印尼料理的入門菜,通常各家餐廳都有自家特色。「So Bali」用上青瓜、豆角、芽菜、薯仔及蝦片,材料都很爽口,再下秘製的自家製醬汁,味道偏辣,花生醬味道則較輕,是個頗不俗開始。「沙嗲雞肉串燒 Sate Ayam」$98全晚我個人最喜歡這道串燒,而且擺盤亦的確令人很有亮眼的感覺!雞肉滿有炭爐香,肉質很 juicy,我個人就吃了三串啊。強推這個!再來兩款湯,一款味道相對較為清淡的是「印尼梳多清雞湯 Soto Ayam」$78,是印尼傳統雞湯,帶很清香的青檸味,配河粉吃應該頗搭配。另一款「印尼洋蔥牛尾湯 Sop Buntut」$78,湯真的很濃郁,而且牛尾肉帶筋膜位是好好吃!湯略嫌油膩,配白飯吃會較佳。炸物方面,點了「粟米餅 Perkedel Jagung」$78 及「素菜春卷 Lumpia Sayur」$68 。粟米餅吃到新鮮原料粟米,誠意十足;春卷亦炸得脆而不膩,很好下酒。「醬蛋豆腐餅 Tahu Telur」$78豆腐沾上蛋漿煎炸至金黃,再淋上惹味沙嗲醬汁,蠻有自家特色的。「巴東牛肉 Rendang」$188主菜的主打先來「巴東牛肉」,用上自家秘製醬汁炆足數小時,它肉質不是炆得碎爛那種,我吃的那件是鬆化如炆牛展,肉質帶筋,醬汁味道香辣濃稠,配青瓜及洋蔥片吃,味道剛剛好。「巴厘辣醬鱸魚,Ikan Goreng Bumbu Bali」$248鱸魚肉質甚嫩,辣醬對我來說有點過辣,嗜辣的朋友該會很對胃口。「印尼炒飯 Nasi Goreng」$108,飯粒炒得分明,鹹香惹味,也沒有太過油膩的情況。最後上的甜品「芒果黑糯米 Mangga Ketan Hitam」,的色可人,椰汁與芒果皆香甜。最後一提,油畫過後餐廳下一期的主題會是相展,相信下次來吃「So Bali」又會有份不同的感覺! 繼續閱讀
