Never have I been so frustrated after eating a meal. I will never go to this over-priced, trashy food, awful decor restaurant ever again. Never have I been so frustrated after eating a meal. I will never go to this over-priced, trashy food, awful decor restaurant ever again. The owner should be shameful for opening such a restaurant.

Was browsing through Soho for dinner on Saturday night. Came across this restaurant and thought would give it a try...the restaurant was half empty and we waited for over 30 minutes for our three dishes...

Ordered Singaporean noodles (cost around $100), the noodles stuck together with MSG flavoring and no content. You would think paying that price for fried noodle they would at least give you normal prawns or meat...There was a total of 3 prawns smaller than a 10 cents coin. The whole dish was vegetable scrap and noodles...

Ordered their so call "Famous" beef....(Cost $188), a total of 4 blocks of beef which was covered in satay sauce...no meat taste, the sauce was disgusting....

The restaurant was opened by an unknown model (I knew because the walls were covered with newspaper clippings. I am not sure how much the owner had to pay to get the placements there) I just want to know if she actually tasted the food from her restaurant before....she should just close it down for the well-being of Soho.

I found this restaurant while wandering around and thought I would give it a try.  It was completely empty which I thought was because it was still a bit early for dinner. Maybe everyone else knew to stay away. I ordered a lime soda, nasi goreng, and the satay sampler. All started out well. The lime soda was perfect. The nasi goring was very so-so...perhaps I should have asked for it spicier. The first few satay also tasted fine. Chicken was fairly good, steak just ok.  Then, I decided to try on

I ordered a lime soda, nasi goreng, and the satay sampler. All started out well. The lime soda was perfect. The nasi goring was very so-so...perhaps I should have asked for it spicier. The first few satay also tasted fine. Chicken was fairly good, steak just ok.  Then, I decided to try one last bite to see what I thought of the pork satay. That was a mistake. As soon as I started chewing, I could tell the meat had gone off. It was sour. I spat it out but the damage was done.  The next morning, i awakened early with an upset tummy that lasted a few days. Not pleasant, especially while travelling from place to place on business. 

Needless to say, I wilL not return.

Beef rendang: huge disappointment, nothing compared with the Thai / Indon open restaurant in LKF, which is not already great. No flavour of coconut, not spicy, and beef was chewy and very fatty under a chunk of dry garlic. Rice was plain and too dry. Terrible experience.
Drinks ? No fresh juices are available.
Decor : pretty poor and random. Lights give a yellow look to the plate which isnt too nice.
Staff was friendly though.
Overall, i had high expectations to try this restaurant, and was very disappointed. Its a poor range of South East Asian dishes which are mastered at all at least for these 2 common dishes.

九月下旬‧晴跟我的前任上司吃午餐,地點選了這裡。因為想吃印尼菜,而在中環區差不多是唯一選擇之餘,這裡的水準也頗不錯的。還有的是在這裡吃東西用某Apps是有85折優惠的,真正一舉幾得。一時多到來,這裡人客不多,只見主理人蘇太在打點,是個氣氛悠閒的下午。舊同事先來,已醒目的要了沙爹及印尼炒麵,那我加個醬蛋豆腐及巴東牛肉就可以了。沙爹先來,除了賣相好之外據蘇太介紹還不是籍籍無名的,因為是CNN選出來的世界第十四位美食。是日要了的是雞肉,鬆軟而最好吃的就是沙爹汁,夠香而且甜美,只是如果熱度再足一點就更好。我很喜歡吃這裡的醬蛋豆腐,其實這就似是我們的潮式蠔餅,同樣是以鴨蛋為主不過就將蠔仔換上了豆腐粒,聞起來是香味十足的。蛋煎得鬆軟而配上清爽的豆腐粒那吃起來就不會太膩。這味菜配上的沙爹汁又跟串燒是不同的,同樣是香但味道帶甜,配合豐腴的煎鴨蛋就更好吃。巴東牛肉是餐牌上的大廚推介,以我來說其實都吃了好幾次。這裡的特色是不像坊間的店子用牛展,這裡用上的是牛腩,但因為炆煮得夠火候所以肉質鬆化而且入味。醬汁同樣是香味十足的,不過比較起之前的兩款就有一點辣味,吃起來就更惹味。吃著這個美味的巴東牛,缺少的就只是

我很喜歡吃這裡的醬蛋豆腐,其實這就似是我們的潮式蠔餅,同樣是以鴨蛋為主不過就將蠔仔換上了豆腐粒,聞起來是香味十足的。蛋煎得鬆軟而配上清爽的豆腐粒那吃起來就不會太膩。這味菜配上的沙爹汁又跟串燒是不同的,同樣是香但味道帶甜,配合豐腴的煎鴨蛋就更好吃。

巴東牛肉是餐牌上的大廚推介,以我來說其實都吃了好幾次。這裡的特色是不像坊間的店子用牛展,這裡用上的是牛腩,但因為炆煮得夠火候所以肉質鬆化而且入味。醬汁同樣是香味十足的,不過比較起之前的兩款就有一點辣味,吃起來就更惹味。吃著這個美味的巴東牛,缺少的就只是一碗白飯。

都不要說,在香港吃了不少版本的印尼炒麵(Mie Goreng),坦白說我也不太知道那個才是最正宗的。這裡的用上的是粗蛋麵,加入蝦、菜及蛋絲再以蔥及蒜去調味。比較濕潤卻也夠味,雖然跟我們乾身有鑊氣的炒麵有分別,但易入口之餘也好吃的。
再來一個炒麵,滿足矣

這裡的食物份量十足,吃了不少但剩得也多,唯有請舊同事統統包走遲些再吃。餐後來一杯印尼茶,味道不算濃烈也是清清的,幾有趣的味道。埋單四百多,將帳單拍照再上傳就有八五折優惠,划算。

全晚我個人最喜歡這道串燒,而且擺盤亦的確令人很有亮眼的感覺!雞肉滿有炭爐香,肉質很 juicy,我個人就吃了三串啊。強推這個!

再來兩款湯,一款味道相對較為清淡的是「印尼梳多清雞湯 Soto Ayam」$78,是印尼傳統雞湯,帶很清香的青檸味,配河粉吃應該頗搭配。

主菜的主打先來「巴東牛肉」,用上自家秘製醬汁炆足數小時,它肉質不是炆得碎爛那種,我吃的那件是鬆化如炆牛展,肉質帶筋,醬汁味道香辣濃稠,配青瓜及洋蔥片吃,味道剛剛好。

最後上的甜品「芒果黑糯米 Mangga Ketan Hitam」,的色可人,椰汁與芒果皆香甜。

最後一提,油畫過後餐廳下一期的主題會是相展,相信下次來吃「So Bali」又會有份不同的感覺!

再來兩款湯,一款味道相對較為清淡的是印尼梳多清雞湯,Soto Ayam,$78,另一款則是味道濃郁的印尼洋蔥牛尾湯,Sop Buntut,$78。清雞湯加入了檸檬葉、香茅等香料來煲製,鮮味中帶出酸辣,但酸味又不會太過刺激,喝得醒胃。牛尾湯單看顏色已知道味道挺濃郁,牛尾肉十分軟腍,湯多帶點脂肪油份,所以跟上白飯做成湯飯會較好。兩者比較起來,個人較愛喝清雞湯多些。

粟米餅,Perkedel Jagung,$78,以新鮮的粟米粒來搓成,炸得香脆,又不感油膩,相比起之前的菜式,這個味道相清淡得多,想濃味一點,跟可塗上沙嗲醬或辣椒醬來吃,更倍添惹味。

醬蛋豆腐餅,Tahu Telur,$78,蛋包著豆腐後再煎炸,外層蛋漿金黃色的,微脆,吃著蛋香味濃,大家也覺得感覺很點像蠔餅,不過對我來說有點兒油膩。但伴上醬汁來吃,味道確是挺吸引的。

然而是主菜巴東牛肉,Rendang,$188,牛肉經過多小時的烹調,肉質十分軟腍鬆化,入口卻不會立即化開,仍帶有點嚼口。醬汁味道相當濃稠,牛肉非常香而入味,辣度適中,吃第一口時味道偏鹹了,其後再吃另一件則沒有了這個問題。

整體來說,食物也令人滿意,也會再來吃飯。而這餐廳還有另一特別之處,就是定期會有畫展及相展,牆上定期轉換上不同的畫或相,讓客人帶添一份新鮮感。

晚飯時間,人在蘇豪區,沒有西餐同日餐的意慾,蕩下蕩下見到呢到食印菜,又黎試試。沙嗲,肉燒得乾身,對我黎講都算好乾下,不過醬汁出色,有幾香花生味,都幾唔錯。燒原條魷魚,魷魚軟腍腍,係新鮮野,正常既爽口,配上甜甜地既醬汁黎燒,係幾好食。咖哩軟殼蟹,稀稀地既咖哩汁,不過食落係兩回事,唔係水水地果d冒充貨,除左咖哩味,仲有其他香料味,個味幾特別。軟殼蟹都唔錯,係東南亞餐廳食炸野普遍係有信心既。薄餅要黎配咖喱,夠鬆軟夠熱,好食。未係飲酒既時候,要杯芒果汁,無咩芒果味同幾甜下,下次都係飲返啤酒好了。食物都幾好食,特別係個燒魷魚。

However, you can find a very wide variety of dishes to be prepared for you. We each selected a different dish. The service was top notch service and we were not left wanting for anything. We all quite enjoyed each of our meals which consisted of the nasi goreng, the Bumbu Bali Chicken, and the Bell Pepper beef. As is typical in Hong Kong, the chicken was bone-in. But, it was a superb meal. The taste is quite authentic and it was noted that put of the several restaurants that our friend dined at during her seven day visit from India, So Bali Bali provided the best tasting meal. The portion sizes were nice healthy serving sizes and we felt that we received our money's worth during this vist. We so look forward to dining here again.

去過了峇里島,其實對印尼菜沒有太大的喜好,這天是老公難得找了雜誌介紹而前往這家印尼菜餐廳。點了芒果沙冰和青檸蜜,青檸尚可但芒果沙冰實在滲了太多的糖水,完全不合格!梳多巴雞湯,有許多不同的香料,味道雖複雜但清新,唯檸檬皮泡久了有點苦~印尼炒飯不錯,但最有「驚喜」的是餐牌上推介的咕喱羊肉,味道不似咖喱,有很獨特的香氣,味道是很特別的,但百多元一份的菜只有三「大」塊羊肉也太空虛了吧~

Having spent a lot of my childhood in Indonesia, especially Bali, I was really happy to see this place open up. All the dishes I tried are authentic tasting. The satay tastes just right and the sauce with it really tasty. And the presentation interesting. I had beef rendang, and gado gado which were some of the best ive had. my friends had corn cakes and squid curry which are not my favorite Bali dishes but tasted authentic too. Pisang goreng was delicious. Good selection of desserts too.

It was a nice suprise to find a Indonesian resturant in SOHO. Its not easy to one in HK. The food is very delicious. Try their satay, fried chicken & nasi goreng, they are my top picks!! Price is cheap consider its at SOHO. Highly recommended!!

最後要提的是燒原隻魷魚,雖已說是原隻,但我們實在沒料到它的份量卻比想像中還要大,燒烤雖不算是太難的煮法,但那醬汁真不錯而魷魚亦保持爽口。


其他的菜色都不俗,下次可以再試點別的!

I had read many mixed reviews prior to my visit but I was determined to give it a go none and give it my own unbiased review. Upon sitting down, we were served with menus that consisted of A4 pages stapled together; it gave me the impression of an amateur restaurant owner who did not understand the importance of restaurant aesthetics, especially in an area like Soho where competition is fierce. Upon sitting down, we were served with menus that consisted of A4 pages stapled together; it gave me the impression of an amateur restaurant owner who did not understand the importance of restaurant aesthetics, especially in an area like Soho where competition is fierce. Don’t get me wrong, I am definitely a fan of up and coming young restaurants, however, its prices were definitely high compared to its other competitors. Main courses ranged from the high $100’s to over $200 and starters were around $80 and above. I thought, ok fine, perhaps the portions are really large anyways. How I was wrong…

To add to the disappointment, descriptions of their dishes were far too simple - ‘Grilled Spicy Chicken’, ‘Spicy King Prawns on Skewers’, ‘Fried Indonesian Noodles’. I felt like I was sitting in a Chinatown restaurant overseas where food is geared towards Westerners at the expense of authenticity.

Anyways, here goes my review…

1. ‘Grilled Chicken in Spicy Sauce’

This was a rather small dish. There was only about ¼ of a chicken presented to us and not to mention, a lot of bones. Nonetheless, the chicken was tender and doused in a rich mixture of Thai fish sauce and fresh chilli and herbs.

Contrary to the description, the fish was not grilled but rather it was fish meat lightly fried in batter with mango sauce. The mango sauce was sweet and sticky, giving it a sort of marmalade taste and texture to it. To be fair, the dish was not bad, though I wish there were more mango sauce! Without the sauce, the fish was fairly dry and tasteless.

Contrary to the description of this dish, we did not find a single prawn but succeeded in fishing out decent portions of chicken and vegetables. This was very disappointing as we had specifically chosen the seafood option! To add insult to injury, the noodles were overcooked and burnt. This resulted in the noodles sticking together and the burnt noodles left an unpleasant after taste.

Our dining experience was a huge disappointment and there is certainly room for improvement. I think that it currently is in the wrong neighbourhood, given its prices and the food it serves. It is not value for money and lacks true Indonesian authenticity.
