One of the hipster spots that serve photo-worthy Cha Chaan Teng staples, with beautiful Hong Kong-style doorfront and interiors. This diner has plenty of funky local quotes, slangs and riddles printed everywhere, even on their tablewares. Don’t miss out on their satay beef menus cos they are very good. Don’t miss out on their satay beef menus cos they are very good. We had one with instant noodles and a double sunny-side up; and the other sandwiched in a cheese Lai’s Griddle hot cake. Satay beef was fluffy, cooked in a tasty satay sauce with roasted peanut chunks: it’s sweet, savoury plus a tad spicy mala kick, yum!

The eggs here are cooked very properly the CCT way: silky smooth, crispy on the edge, and very satiating. We loved the scrambled eggs & charsiu on rice so much, the shallot soy sauce was a highlight.

It’s weekend so we didn’t skip dessert: Ferrero Rocher French toast, coated in a golden egg batter and deep fried to crispy. Awed at the amount of chocolate hazelnut sauce and crunches, we cut the toast open and had our sweet tooth satisfied.
Special drinks: Iced red bean in coconut milk was nostalgic; Ovaltine with Ovo chrunchy was a kid’s favourite; fruit punch came in layered colours and was loaded with canned fruits.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, and the price was very reasonable as well. A little packed during the weekends.
