'It's always tea time', said the Hatter with a sigh. World of Colour restaurant has opened for tea . This couldn't start as a better time than now, only just recently celebrating Alice in Wonderland's 70th anniversary. The Colorful Tea is opened from 3:15pm to 5:00pm. Just as the Queen of Hearts would sometimes believe in six impossible things before breakfast, you would find it hard to believe that the dishes offered were even possible to have before dinner. Though you're not expected to moooove dowwwnn for clean cups, you should expect to journey down the culinary rabbit hole of dessert samplers: from fruit skewers to Portuguese Tarts with Mochi. Then you have your choice of a savory dish. Popular choices such as the sirloin steak or salmon are offered but what was most intriguing was the ''pan-seared scallops on steamed omnipork siu mai with trio caviars and lobster foam'' (repeat that again 3 times, faster and without salivating). Though the name is a mouthful, it's definitely worth every single bite. For those looking for a kick in their meal, you may try the ''deep fried Vietnamese style spring roll with Mongolian style lamb loin skewer'' which comes with a traditional dipping sauce. To top it off, coffee or tea is offered.
We are absolutely pleased with the Colorful Tea Zone option as we have only tried their lunch and dinner services. We are happy to report that the experience is just as wonderful; if not better. The presentation of the food was gorgeous. We absolutely loved the choices of food and as always, the staff and their patience and helpfulness when getting to know more about the menu as well as which price package suited our party better.
While it's not exactly a Mad Tea Party, you'd be mad not to give it a try!
(*special thanks to Mike, Joyce, Edmond, Sam, Neville and Joe for making our dining experience/visit extra sweet!)
