Newly opened Spanish tapas resto in cheung sha wan. I had not much expectations before, I just went with an open mind and it was surprisingly good! The menu wasn’t too extensive, We ordered almost all the available tapas to share, like mushroom croquettes, squid croquettes, fresh prawn with garlic oil, octopus, huevos roto broken eggs, meat balls, and we also tried seafood paella as main. The menu wasn’t too extensive, We ordered almost all the available tapas to share, like mushroom croquettes, squid croquettes, fresh prawn with garlic oil, octopus, huevos roto broken eggs, meat balls, and we also tried seafood paella as main.
I love both mushroom and squid croquettes, creamy and flavourful fillings wrapped by this crispy exterior, so good! The octopus was cooked perfectly tender, lying on the bed of this delicious organic mash potatoes..
the seafood paella was packed with loads seafood jus, delivered the strong umami flavour, but I think the soccarrat (the crusty bottom of the paella) can be more, other than that, I think this was an excellent paella.
And you must order their dessert, churros! It comes with vanilla icecream and chocolate dipping sauce, sooo good! The churros were cooked perfectly, so soft inside and crispy outside with perfect sweetness.
They also have a decent wine list at a bargain price, we tried both sparkling cava and Sauvignon blanc.
Overall, I think everything was quite on point, I honestly didn’t expect I could find this authentic Spanish taste in cheung sha wan. The owner is very friendly and attentive, everything was incredibly good at reasonable price, is such a great place to chill with friends in the hood. I would totally revisit whenever I miss tapas and lazy to go too far. I’m glad that I found this amazing neighbourhood resto.
