Despite growing up in hk, I have never tried 避風塘炒蟹 before - not until this evening that we are here to celebrate for a family occasion. We have ordered a signature crab (a small size $680), 1 mantis shrimp ($380), abalone and chicken congee ($168), abalone and chicken bowl ($388), a seafood tofu bowl ($198) and a crab oil fried noodles ($72). All in all, the overall quality is there, while the service quality is good too. We have to say the crab is incredible good - no wonder it is the signature

We have ordered a signature crab (a small size $680), 1 mantis shrimp ($380), abalone and chicken congee ($168), abalone and chicken bowl ($388), a seafood tofu bowl ($198) and a crab oil fried noodles ($72). All in all, the overall quality is there, while the service quality is good too. We have to say the crab is incredible good - no wonder it is the signature of the house and attracted so many celebrities dinning here back in 90s, even tho it’s quite costly, we’ve earned a 45% off discount via OpenRice booking 👍🏻 with discounted $374, this is a value-for money dish, as the grab is very juicy yummy and the deep fried garlic is so crispy and mouth-watering. We will revisit again just for the crab 🦀 and I recommend this to all seafood lovers.
