We came for the restaurant week lunch. Unfortunately, I was feeling a little sick beforehand, and in addition, them being understaffed did not help. In terms of serving time, the appetisers came maybe 15 minutes after we ordered, which was fine, but the mains came maybe an hour after, and they first served a table who were seated after us. As I chatted with the server as she put our mains down, I learned that not only were they understaffed in the dining area, but the kitchen as well. Knowing what that meant for her, I said sorry to her instead haha
Unfortunately, I could barely eat by the time the mains came. My friend doggy-bagged everything she didn’t finish, and did the same for the desserts. Their doggy bag system was pretty organised with a checkout system so you wouldn’t have piles of bags at your feet etc.
When the bill came, they seem to have accidentally charged us a top-up for one of our mains, which was not shown on our menu when we ordered. I asked about the charge to the same server and she came back instead with “actually, we‘re only going to charge one meal since you didn’t even eat”. It really wasn’t your fault, but thank you so much for the great service again, despite being understaffed, Chaiwala! Hopefully this situation was only for the day - I’d still highly recommend this place!
