This dessert place is kind of small. After coming in with a group of 5, there was not much seats left. Menu serves a lot of dessert types which definitely covers Japanese, Westernised, fusion and traditional ones. We asked for the Tang Yuans in ginger soup, red bean monchi coconut pudding, mont blanc rice balls and sweet purple rice soup with tang yuan. Ginger flavour was intense. We asked for the Tang Yuans in ginger soup, red bean monchi coconut pudding, mont blanc rice balls and sweet purple rice soup with tang yuan.
Ginger flavour was intense. Personally found it too strong. Tang yuans was alright. Soft chewy glutenous rice with sweet black sesame stuffed. Wish the black sesame to be more runny but overall not bad.
Coconut pudding was quite good. Pudding was light and smooth. Personally not prefer having evaporated milk drizzled, ending up pretty soggy. Was hoping to have more red bean topped instead of monchi. Overall, more a sharing size instead of one person having it all. My friend was stuffed after.
Mont blanc rice ball visually was in a lighter brown colour. Chestnut purée was soft but overly sweet. Couldn't taste much of the chestnut flavour. Wish to be a denser richer chestnut purée. Rice balls were bland. Nothing stuffed. When eating with the chestnut purée, all I could taste was sweet and chewy glutenous flavour. In additional, portion was too many too much. It was a total 8 rice balls. Way too filling.
More likely, will try their croffle or matcha/ mont blanc ice cream dessert next time. Hopefully a better dining experience.
