all I can say is I felt I got scammed. congee was not white... more like a soup with a lot of msg... have the option to have abalone but do not have fork or knife to cut. they only have plastic fork... the condense milk with bun... bun is the size of a 2 dollar coin and the amount of condense milk given was so cheap.. don't come here... go somewhere else

人,年紀愈大,對自己家鄉的文化,習俗,飲食等都會多關注,雖然在香港出生,在香港長大,但談到籍貫,也毫不猶豫,我是鶴佬人。對於家鄉食品,印象全來自孩提時代與祖父母同住的十年八載,但卻有刻骨銘心的記憶,畢竟腦袋仍新。看餐牌,潮汕食品為主,也有夾雜海陸豐食品,先點脆香小食拼盤,有三款小食,一口牙籤雞,巨型手打魚蛋,脆炸獅子頭。尤以手打魚蛋最能勾起鄉愁,味道正是祖母的版本,有鐵甫魚乾的惹味,魚蛋的結實質感,吃出回憶。而其餘兩種,因以前沒有試過,沒大感覺,但味道也可以。椒鹽鮮鮑魚,吃鮮鮑魚,吃的是鮮味,煙韌彈牙,以椒鹽來處理,惹味倍添。傳統鴨蛋煎蠔烙,份量很大,鴨蛋比雞蛋味濃,與蠔肉和地瓜粉混合,煎炸得很香脆,蠔肉飽滿,好香口,吃得很滿足。家鄉粉絲兜亂,用番薯粉做的粉絲,是最典型的家鄉食品,加了臘腸,唐芹,魷魚乾等同炒,十分滋味,吃著吃著,彷彿回到從前,真希望可以帶老爸來,但事與願違,有點遺憾。

最後,不得不讚下佢哋嘅員工,最矚目就係一位上菜嘅肥哥哥。全晚都攞住左手一煲右手一煲滾熱辣嘅菜或者粥,不斷穿梭全場。每一次上菜嘅時候都會好有禮貌地提醒食客小心被個煲辣親,好專業。另外,有樓面四眼哥哥,不停咁留意食客有沒需要碗碟或者加水,好細心。

與友人又逛旺中,走出商場,見到對面有間叫做心夜來潮的店子,我們都覺得店名很有趣,即決定一試。鹵水鵝肉厚而嫩,入味卻又不會過鹹。鹵水汁非常味美,鹵豆腐盡吸其味。此外的鵝肝以及鵝翼皆亦不俗。砂鍋鮮蜆的蜆超勁大隻,所以有很多蜆肉。蜆洗得很乾淨,沒有一粒沙,吃蜆肉,加口湯,一樂也。潮式炒飯跟一般炒飯沒多少差異,吃不出有甚麼特別之處。總之落了甚麼料都好,飯炒得不夠乾身,兼且頗為油膩,調味亦不足。菜茶是類似潮州擂茶的物體,卻非每家潮州食店經常會見到的。上湯裡有臘腸、冬菇、切碎的菜等等,加上米通和花生,一啖裏集齊脆口煙靭濕潤;是茶非茶,果然妙品。回頭的原因一定是為了菜茶。

原條鱸魚 已預先斬件, 並非原條上枱, 雖睇落無咁靚仔, 但斬件能更入味。潔白的魚肉片片分明, 肉質不算非常滑溜, 但絕不嚡口, 味道鮮味, 亦帶點檸檬酸, 不錯!。最喜歡是魚頭, 滑嘟嘟的魚眼和臉珠, 很吸引!

再來兩隻新鮮蟶子王 ($42/隻), 有三種烹調選擇, 包括蒜蓉粉絲蒸、豉汁粉絲蒸和潮式香辣魚仔炒。來吃潮州菜, 當然擇潮式香辣魚仔炒。蟶子差不多有我手掌般長, 難怪稱為蟶子王 , 其肉質爽嫩, 加入青紅椒、洋蔥 香辣魚仔 拌炒, 的確很有風味, 但味道很濃, 辣度十足, 蓋了蟶子的鮮味。
