這間由港男黃長興做老闆的法國餐廳,位處天后橫街木星街的盡頭,其實位置稍為偏僻,幸好也不太難找。在這條大部分店舖略為陳舊的街中,這間以紅色為外牆主調,並以兩幅漂亮的七彩法國主題壁畫作點綴的餐廳,顯得份外奪目起眼。從餐廳門前黑板上以彩色粉筆寫下的午餐manu中,可見這裡的午餐價錢只由$68 -$98,已包括餐湯或沙律,主菜,甜品和餐飲,以走中高檔路線的西餐廳來說,可算甚為相宜。雖然早已訂位,去到的時候,我們只是被安排在最近店舖門口的二人檯。這本來也不是大問題,坐在這兒,正好可看到親近一下店子玻璃門上映照進來的陽光,但因為老婆仔不太喜歡這座位,所以我們便告訴這兒的一位靚女侍應希望可以轉檯,過不多時,當另一張較為靠近餐廳裡的座位的客人離開後,我們便立刻被安排換到那兒坐,效率很不錯呢!其實這裡的服務真是蠻不錯的,無論男女侍應的服務態度都甚佳,待客有禮而勤快,就連身為餐廳老闆的黃長興當日也有在餐廳內親力親為地招呼客人、傳遞菜式,並不時和附近一檯的女客人談笑甚歡,逗得那一檯裡的幾位中、老年女客人十分開心,原來有高大俊男親身招呼自己,是會吃得開心些的呢!叫了兩個午餐,先上桌的是質素不錯的麵包,這分成四

主菜方面,老婆仔的主菜是「焗青衣柳飯配白酒忌廉汁」。這焗飯賣相不錯,在烘得金黃色的鹹香的芝士外層上面舖著一些青綠色的牛油果粒。這些口感軟滑,入口即溶的牛油果粒與飯中夾雜著的金黃色粟米粒,加上比較稠身,奶味香濃的白酒忌廉汁,不但提升了這焗飯的味道,也豐富了這焗飯的色彩
。此外,作為這焗飯主菜的青衣柳的外皮也煎得香脆,裡面的魚肉則仍然保持嫩滑
,整道焗飯的水準著實不錯,難怪能讓其實不是太喜歡吃魚的老婆仔也對它稱讚一番

,鍋中除有大量的雞件外,還有紅蘿蔔、洋蔥等配料,加上灑在上面的烘麵包粒,所有食物在濃郁的紅酒汁浸泡之下充滿濃濃的紅酒醬汁味道

!原先我和老婆仔兩人都以為這裡的餐後甜品,還不是和大部分的西餐廳一樣只得一款是日甜品可以選擇,誰不知當我們告訴先前招呼我們,替我們更換座位的那位靚女侍應可以上甜品的時候,她竟翻過午餐餐牌的正面,有禮而詳細地告訴我們餐牌背面的各款甜品,除了其中一款這天沒有供應,會以另一款甜品代替之外,其他餐牌上的甜品,包括「炸香蕉雜草莓汁伴雪糕」、「橘子啫喱香茶汁」、「蜜桃酥皮卷伴雪糕」和「法式香橙斑戟」等,都可以供客人選擇,實在令自己和老婆仔都感到喜出望外,不禁對這餐廳增加不少分數


自己素來喜愛「法式香橙斑戟」,既然難得這裡的午餐竟然有得吃,當然不作他選啦
!這「法式香橙斑戟」賣相漂亮,以綠色小葉子、橙粒點綴著的淡黃色班戟皮,上面淋上了橙黃色的橙汁,外面更被一層顏色同樣鮮豔漂亮的橙汁包圍著,彷如一隻小船兒漂浮在橙黃色的大海中,煞是美麗
。至於味道方面,這班戟的皮厚度適中,內裡的忌廉也頗為幼滑,特別是把班戟切細後,蘸著味道酸甜好吃的橙汁同吃,更是十分美味,使自己不但在眨眼間便把整道美味的甜品吃光,還巴不得可以再來一份呢

焗青衣牛油梨粟米忌廉汁飯.牛油果粒在飯面,焗熟了十分淋,入口溶化,香味十足.青衣柳厚厚的2片,外皮煎得香,內面肉嫩滑,驚喜是比一般出面吃的魚柳重魚味
.忌廉汁比較稠,真的很有cream感,厚而且乳味濃,幸好汁和飯的比例剛好,加上粟米粒在中間點綴,中和了膩感.值得一提的是飯粒,圓圓胖胖的像珍珠米,嚼下去黏黏的,很有咬勁
.有焗東西少不了的咸香芝士,加上香草伴著,本身不太喜歡白汁也把整碟飯吃得乾乾淨淨

餐飲要了例牌的熱檸水,親眼看著侍應在bar檯弄的,弄完更細心用布把杯身沾到的水擦掉,絕不馬虎.杯子也很有趣,斜斜的像一件藝術品
.甜品有5款任君選擇, Tiramisu,豆腐芒果汁伴雪糕,法式班戟伴雪糕,燴車厘子伴雪糕和
法式燉蛋燴雜莓.每樣都想試,考慮良久,選擇了Creme brulee. 燉蛋和燴雜莓是分開的. 先嗜燉蛋,已經放涼了,焦糖微脆, 但略嫌太薄.燉蛋很creamy,跟平常吃到那種實身接近蒸蛋狀的不同.十分香滑,蛋味濃郁
,甜度也剛好.燴雜莓放在一個很漂亮的匙狀盛器,看上去像果醬,可清楚看到內裡面有很多一顆顆的莓籽.入口果味比一般果醬濃,酸甜莓味充斥喉腔.牙齒咬著一粒粒的莓籽,感覺過癮
.混著些燴雜莓與燉蛋一起吃,2者味道融合,比想像中的合拍

雖然無緣一會靚仔老闆,但也大飽眼腹.笑靨如花的侍應,餐廳內的裝潢和擺設,全都很好看.食物更是又睇得又食得.再發現一個吃飯閒聊的好地方,下次必要與好姊妹來Girls talk.

(其實個標題唔駛寫到咁明顯嘅,不過事實的確如此 )言歸正傳。由於有個港男黃長興先生做老闆,難免吸引到一班慕名而來的女顧客。鮮紅色的門面畫上法國風景的壁畫,令人未入餐廳已心情開朗。午市時候的餐廳仍然很有情調,其實光猛一點也可以啦。店內裝修以紅綠色為主,很有型的。來得夠早才有近門口玻璃窗的位置,再遲一點不訂位的這是一位難求的 。午市套餐由 $68 起,有飯、意粉還有牛扒等,但既然餐廳開宗明義賣法國菜,有得揀的話,當然揀感覺較法國的 - 例如這天的炸釀芝士火腿雞胸。套餐另配沙律或餐湯,茶或咖啡和甜品。前茶點了沙律,這天的 green salad 擺盤漂亮,有幾個切半的新薯,是難得出現的東西,爽脆清新。至於這個炸釀芝士火腿雞胸即是 Chicken Cordon Bleu (法文是藍帶的意思),在歐洲其他地方都有類似的菜色,但起了個法國名字,就當它是法國菜好了。其實它是兩片雞肉夾著芝士和一片火腿,裹上麵包糠炸成的。從表面看跟一個炸冬甩/沙翁/甚至是日式可樂餅沒多大分別,切開金黃酥脆的外皮,才知內有乾坤:兩片雞胸肉就像三文治的麵包般夾著火腿和融化了的芝士,熱辣辣的芝士流出來,好像鹹版的心太軟!雖說

至於這個炸釀芝士火腿雞胸即是 Chicken Cordon Bleu (法文是藍帶的意思),在歐洲其他地方都有類似的菜色,但起了個法國名字,就當它是法國菜好了。其實它是兩片雞肉夾著芝士和一片火腿,裹上麵包糠炸成的。從表面看跟一個炸冬甩/沙翁/甚至是日式可樂餅沒多大分別,切開金黃酥脆的外皮,才知內有乾坤:兩片雞胸肉就像三文治的麵包般夾著火腿和融化了的芝士,熱辣辣的芝士流出來,好像鹹版的心太軟!雖說是雞胸肉,居然沒有柴皮的感覺,肉質還挺嫩滑的啊。一口咬下去,即有脆、滑、香、軟四種口感,美味!吃著它,喚起了不少童年回憶,因為這是多年前去歐洲旅行時吃過的啊!旁邊還有一大堆雜果沙律,甜美但吃完都很飽了。

除了午市套餐之外,星期一至五每日另設一款 Chef Special 午餐,價錢較高 (約 $128)。如這個星期一 (睇餐牌學法文: 星期一是 Lundi) 的是 French chicken Fricassée stewed in Paprika Cream with Almond Rice(餐牌拍得太朦,中文名看不清楚)。配套跟午市套餐一樣,上次吃了沙律今次就喝餐湯。南瓜湯打得很滑,服務生會主動問我要不要加胡椒粉。餐包(照片不放上來了)兩次來都是暖的,是硬了一點,還算不錯的。

這次的雞肉倒是韌了一點,醬汁根據餐牌所示是用辣椒粉和忌廉煮成的,不過是不辣的,混有蘑菇,吃下去像是白汁煮雞飯那樣啦。飯呢,餐牌說是杏仁飯但我就吃不到有杏仁或杏仁味,而且有幾條煮得黃黃的荷蘭豆伴邊,因此整個飯都很有住家風味

Steaks in this venue are thankfully cooked on a Hybrid Charcoal and Gas Grill (半煤氣爐, 半炭燒). It doesn’t rely fully on burning charcoals, but is more dependant on gas flames blasting through the layer of charcoal, but at least it imparts some Charcoal flavours. This kind of hybrid grill can also be found at certain other places like Japanese Ramen & Bar Restaurant 一平安, which uses a similar grill in some of its outlets.

The Entrecote USA Prime Rib Eye Steak (note it doesn't say USDA Prime, which is ambiguous) here overall was cooked pretty loyal to Medium, as suggested by the shop and I concur with. Parts of the steak’s left hand side was cooked slightly too Rare, which means it was inevitably tough as certain proteins haven’t even melted ~ well marbled but slightly connective-tissues filled steak cuts such as Rib Eye really ought to be cooked to around Medium or 40-45% cooked before it becomes tender, when everything inside starts melting or hydrolysises properly. Cook it too well-done the otherway however and it loses moisture and the muscle contracts quickly, which also makes it leathery tough. On the other hand, leaner secondary cuts without gristles/tendons should be cooked rare to be tender. The more worked muscles with gristles however, should always be slow cooked!
Most chefs can’t seem to grasp these simple, proven meat science concepts?! Whoever said that all Steaks or Meat should be cooked Rare? Ever tried eating a raw Sirloin or Rib Eye, Poultry meat or a thick cut Lean Raw Fish before? You won’t be able to chew on it, and you’ll probably get food borne diseases. Cooking meat is all about Balancing between under-cooking and over-cooking. This steak was mostly cooked well and carried both meatiness as well as Charcoal flavours...

之前見到咁多好食評, 所以同同事黎試下個LUNCH, 試下好唔好食先至決定帶另一伴來品嚐晚餐.

裝修係唔錯, 紅撞黑. 下午都不少客人, 但不用等位.

我們共吃了 4個 Set:
French style baked pork chop rice $68
Oven baked garoupa rice with cheese $68
Char-grilled NZ rib eye steak $98
pan fried chicken breast $78
set 包括湯或沙律, 及餐飲.

為了試食, 所以有人選湯, 有人選沙律.

1. 個湯就 普通, 比起WOODEN TABLE淡而無味的湯, 算是OK.

2. 沙律很有問題, 一隻碟, 只放了三數片菜及兩粒車厘茄, 一點醬汁也沒有, 賣相真劣, 我們問女侍應要dressing, 佢話, 已經落左喎!
吓! 我睇唔到喎, 然後堅持要沙律醬或黑醋汁, 她轉頭只給我一小碟橄欖油, 真不知好嬲定好笑, 我最後係乾哽個几片菜.


3. 沙律的另一個問題是, 我們三人1:30pm先來吃, 另一個同事2pm先至到, 他的沙律比我的沙律簡直多了一倍份量, 而且有小小dressing. (請見相片) 真不明白為什麼會有這麼大的差別.


4. 四個主菜: pork chop , garoupa , NZ rib eye steak 及chicken breast 坦白說, 賣相散亂, 顏色寡調, 而且味道很雪藏, 到最後我們都吃不下全碟, 不止不值這價錢, 連一般餐廳質素也未到.


5. 咖啡真的是酸的. 只有檸檬茶沒有問題.

不好意思, 一間餐廳的基本要素是食物的品質和味道, 其他(如, 裝修, 種類, 靚人靚景) 都是次要. 所以暫時, 我都不會再光顧, 希望將來仍有機會吧!

今日下午打電話訂位,應該係老板親自接電話.8點鐘到達的時候,餐廳大約9成滿,如果要試的話記得要定位.我老婆食咗: 煎鵝肝、鮮蠔泡泡忌廉湯 , 烤法式羊鞍我食咗: 法式焗田螺、鮮蠔泡泡忌廉湯 , Cha-Grilled Entrecote牛排.煎鵝肝、鮮蠔泡泡忌廉湯, 法式焗田螺勁好食,但因為鮮蠔泡泡忌廉湯(Fresh Oyster Cappuccino)真係几濃,飲完個湯都飽咗大半,需然個牛排同羊鞍都唔差,但我哋都真係太飽,所以都食唔晒個main course... 唯有下次來的時候再試過PS: 餐廳傍有停車場,勁方便!!

we arrived around 8 ish. ordered the famous "entrecote"... and some side-orders. the entrecote was awesome, it just tasted so much better than other restaurants....although quite pricey but worths this price! environment was great and the sofas were comfy. services are good in a sense that the waiters will come in time whenever you need them. very polite and nice gentlemen, gave honest and good recommendations on choices of foods and know their dishes well!..definitely will come for second time

主菜之燒豬扒,除主菜豬扒之外,還有一些雜菜,薯仔等等.豬扒本身味道香甜,但燒得有點過火,入口感覺粗糙,沒有一點肉汁,反而邊位的肥膏,燒得香脆可口,女友不敢碰,如是者我吃個不停.記得上一次吃法式牛扒,就在銅鑼灣的法式牛扒屋,法蘭西牛扒其中一個特色,就是有個芥末醬汁,和伴薯條吃.基本上是日五成熟的牛扒,質素只是一般,肉質不夠細致,而且有點點硬,但這個午餐只是賣$98一位,很難去與晚餐水準相提並論.最後的甜品是"歌劇院"蛋糕,味道不如之前所吃的香濃,而且質感亦相對較輕.那些甜魔吃著,大約會同我喝罷磨菇湯的感覺相若.

女友事後要了杯咖啡,是否有那種"口內爆發"之感覺就不得而知,因我不喝咖啡,只顧拿著手上的凍檸茶,趟在沙發,外面氣溫好比焗桑拿,在室內喝一口凍檸茶,不能說不享受.

午市水準不及女同事之期望,相信下一次要她帶我來晚市,才能見出真章來.

I was just walking out from the fortress hill MTR with my husband and my daughter and got a flyer showing the address of the restaurant a la maison, as we were hungry at that time we decided to give it try.The restaurant was not very far away, it was very convenient. I was just walking out from the fortress hill MTR with my husband and my daughter and got a flyer showing the address of the restaurant a la maison, as we were hungry at that time we decided to give it try.

The restaurant was not very far away, it was very convenient. The design of the restaurant was very nice too, it really gave a comfortable environment which encouraged us to stay.

The food was great, we ordered different set lunches including baked graroupa rice, linguini pasta (very tasty), and NZ steak.

My husband, daughter and i thought they were delicious, and inexpensive as well ;)
will definitely go there again.

不知是否物是類聚,炮台山木星街向來是中價食店橫據,和隔離街全是中式茶餐廳互相輝映。日前見到此店新開,聽說是王長興開的食店,是日下午順路過來試試。午餐由$68-$88,包餐湯或沙律、主菜、餐飲及甜品,以法式餐廳來說,是頗為經濟實惠的。叫了一份沙律、一份餐湯,主菜一個是煎雞一個是豬柳,餐飲要了咖啡,甜品是一份不知名的多層蛋糕。餐湯是玉米湯,濃郁好飲。沙律是正式西式沙律,不是港式西餐的。主菜煎雞火喉剛好,配山玉米溶及黑椒汁著實不錯。豬柳2份肥8份瘦,配山的醬汁也很不俗。咖啡飲落不是即沖的,應該係機制的,頗香。坐得十分寫意,由十二點坐到二點都只有四枱客,裝修有部分浴用上手的,氣氛也很不錯,用作傾計很不錯。王先生都在餐廳打點,是有禮貌的。
