太古坊有條街叫糖廠街,沿途都有很多食肆林立。適逢星期五收工後想搵個地方Happy Hour,湊巧其中一間餐廳有位就入座了。Bib n Hops每日都有Happy Hour,時間由下午三點至晚上八點。我叫了杯White Wine - Torresella Veneto, Pinot Grigio, Italy ($58),酒色呈現淺黃麥稈色澤,入口味道偏淡,帶點酸味的清爽口感,偏dry,餘韻甜甜的。另外還叫了紫菜黑松露薯條($68),看似有點像shake shake薯條,不過不失,勝在即叫即炸。個人覺得環境不錯,適合和朋友聊天chill下。

The decor and seating are pleasant although it was very noisy with background. It was the entree that was totally disappointing. Not sure if the rice was burned intentionally or not. It was so hard that it was difficult to chew on and the veggies and meat basically did not have much taste.  Definitely not worth money and totally do not recommend it.

牛肉石窩飯味道都好好,足料,
個石窩夠熱,我地拌得太慢比較多飯蕉。

We ordered two skewers to start. First is Charred Pork Cheek Skewers ($88). The skewers are just grilled from charcoal, and serving on a wire mesh along with the vegetable and pickles to wrap with. The pork cheek is marinated well, with a crunchy texture and adding the chili paste and then wrapping in a lettuce helped to reduce the fatty feeling. A nice dish to start.

The second skewer is Charred Spicy Chicken Skewers ($88). Similarly served, the spicy chicken has some pesto sauce placed on top to add a herbal, basil notes to the chicken, which is juicy and tender. Wrapping in lettuce also, we finished both the skewers in no time.

Next is Chicken Thigh Stone Bowl or Bibimbap ($138). The sizzling stone bowl is holding different vegetables and in the center there are some tender chicken thigh. Mixing the rice with the ingredients together, then adding the chili sauce, enhanced the overall complexity and the vegetables also provided different texture and taste. The unique chili sauce has somehow adjusted to give an intense Sichuan chili characters.

Seafood Pancake ($148) is a Korea signature dish available in all restaurants. Pan-fry perfectly, there is a slight crispy rims while the body is still soft and smooth. The mixed seafood, red chili and Chinese chives work harmoniously, and pairing with the homemade dipping sauce, added further sweet and savory notes which is very appealing.

By now we were already very full, and we had regretted in ordering the Korean Fried Boneless Chicken ($118). There are five big pieces of chicken, all brown in color. On the side there are two dipping sauces, one garlic and the other chili, with also pickles. The chicken is juicy and tender but I found the batter too thick for my liking. Maybe it was the Korean authentic style?

The service generally is quite good, with the staff pleasant and helpful. The bill overall was $756 including two drinks. It is reasonably priced and in terms of quality and flavors I feel very satisfied. The restaurant has another outlet in Wanchai too.
