Read some reviews to come here for “authentic pho”. I am a lover of pho. Not sure where these raving reviews came from , but I can assure this isn’t Authentic if you ever visited Vietnam. Low value for money for its portions; mediocre at best. It’s not Michelin star - but it’s Michelin recommended- There’s a world of difference there. But you want Chinese styled bone broth, it’s worth visiting. Let me elaborate:
1. Food: broth is okay, slightly on the salty side. Not much fragrance and aroma which should come from herbs otherwise in properly made broth. Also way too oily.
2. Food: noodles aren’t freshly made. They are the dried packaged noodles you can get at supermarkets. For 100$ a bowl id expect fresh noodles.
3. Food: herbs and sprouts. Depressing. I am not sure why they only give ONE basil, and SEVEN bean sprouts. Yes I counted. And probably half a lime.
4. Food: beef - probably the highlight of the bowl. Slightly on the fat side but decent.
5. Restaurant: decent ambience. But Remember to bring CASH. Otherwise you’ll have to walk down the flights and flights of stairs to visit the closest ATM ( aka 7-11) , and walk back up. They don’t even accept octopus. Not sure why a western restaurant doesn’t even accept electronic payment… kinda ridiculous.
6. Staff : decent but a bit rude.
7. Verdict: if you want some bone broth Chinese style you can come visit. But I won’t come back again.
