I like the feeling of this intense competition and the judges giving tough comment everytimes. That’s the time I start following Gordon Ramsay cause he having great passion on cooking. He blaming the participants so hard for their not-in-standard dishes. So me having high expectation on his restaurant. However Bread Street Kitchen and Bar disappointed us indeed heartbrokenly.


Searched their webpage, knowing that it’s the truffle season so now they offering truffle menu. As a truffle big fan, me looking for this so much. How come I get arrived and they said not offering? lol that’s pretty sad!

Signature dish is beef wellington with mashed potatoes and peppercorn. Waited for an hour for this most famous dishes, after having  all other dishes. However it absolutely disappointed us...
the quality of the beef is unacceptable, the texture is so bad the beef seem already getting rot. There’re four pieces but we can barely finished two of them...really like a torture eating them. Even I feel the coved crispy pastry isn’t bad with full butter flavor, the mushroom fillings aren’t bad too. But the core ingredient beef getting rotten is big concern.

Shepherd’s pie served with garden peas, Finally realised it’s made by beef after trying the upper part of the pie, I smelled strong flavour of beef, it’s a bit strange adding peas with the pie, it just simply doesn’t match

The warm lighting and environment giving you comfortable feeling, just in western style which i like.
Though the food quality is indeed overrated, even heard of many times that Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant isn’t in high standard but still wanna try it myself. It only brought us disappointment sad.

今天是我的生日,於是到山頂吃晚飯慶祝,我們就選擇了這家餐廳。環境方面:餐桌數量不算多,有室外座位,也有半開放式廚房。衛生方面:餐廳很整潔,可是有一些菜渣......食物方面:我們先吃了炸魚柳配炸馬鈴薯條,魚肉很嫩滑,口感挺特別。炸馬鈴薯條炸得很香脆。再嘗了牛扒,牛肉味很濃,很多汁。最後是炸雞漢堡包,麵包很鬆軟,雞肉嫩滑多汁,漢堡包裏的辣醬比較辣,不適合不能吃辣的人。我很滿意這次的生日晚飯,也很推薦大家來這家餐廳用膳。

最後是炸雞漢堡包,麵包很鬆軟,雞肉嫩滑多汁,漢堡包裏的辣醬比較辣,不適合不能吃辣的人。

我很滿意這次的生日晚飯,也很推薦大家來這家餐廳用膳。

兒子十分喜歡Gordon Ramsay, 所以星期日佢生日就帶佢黎呢度食lunch, 首先,一早已經訂咗枱及講左慶祝正日生日,但係估唔到西式餐廳竟然係乜都冇做,講一句happy birthday都冇。餐枱下十分多垃圾,可能因為山頂依家人流非常多,所以清潔吾切,要我們要求清潔地下才能坐,他們才掃地。食物好一般,叫左牛肉burger, 個漢堡肉太硬冇肉汁,頭盤叫左煎八爪魚, 咸到死,雞肉burger一般,下次唔會再黎!

炸魚本身的魚味非常甘香,在不點醬、剝走外層炸皮之下,試了幾口純魚肉,魚那股濃濃油脂甘味在嘴中爆發
,吃得出是很新鮮的高質魚。

配上的他他醬非常好味,用料豐富,我一點不漏吃光


而用了牛骨髓提味的青豆蓉,開頭吃是覺得還不錯,但越吃越覺得不太喜歡那味道,所以最後吃剩了。

Flat bread 原來好似pizza這樣上。

Guanciale是風乾豬面頰肉,第一次吃,肉質十分嫩滑,薄薄一片,看起來好像魚生。配上pesto醬、洋蔥和芝士,味道特別而美味


而flat bread就像薄底pizza,微脆而口感帶點煙韌。

總結,食物美味高質,絕對滿意,環境也優美,想再來

Dry 3 paper thin slices of chewy roast beef for $288. Dog food tastes better than this. Did not know yorkshire pudding was supposed to crispy - it was over baked. Ordered a burger and it was overly dry as well.This restaurant is meant for tourists. Locals would definitely not return. Friendly and staff though. Food was amazingly disappointing.

仲點咗個羅望子醬烤雞翼同紅菜頭雜穀沙律食住先

甜品當然係出名嘅蘋果批

要咗半支Champaign, 味道唔錯

落單後, 殷勤嘅侍應哥哥Jasper好快咁送上美味嘅麵包, 仲特別介紹佢哋嘅牛油係加咗好香嘅洋蔥同Bacon, 香脆內軟嘅麵包加埋特別加料嘅香滑嘅牛油, 正是這一頓美好晚餐嘅開始!

酥皮好香脆, 蘑菇醬好濃好香, 但略咸, 要加埋佢嘅Peppercorn saurce同薯蓉一齊食, 味道就啱啱好! 至於主角牛柳都好嫩滑, 味道唔同一般嘅牛肉
(佢哋建議係2人份量, 其實3至4人share都可以)
最後蘋果批登場, 外面嘅曲奇焗得好香脆, 蘋果餡料非常豐富有口, 我特別喜歡呢個味道, 酸甜適中, 非常可口

下星期就生日,咁就搞搞新意思搵個地方慶祝啦,今日同男朋友嚟咗山頂行吓🛤本身我哋諗喺中環食嘢先,不過之後覺得都好耐冇上過山頂,不如試吓山頂嘅新餐廳啦😆.坐低點左餐之後,職員就送咗呢個麵包過嚟🥖個麵包好新鮮啱啱焗熱,外脆內軟,旁邊嘅牛油好香,搽喺麵包上面一齊食,錦上添花!食完之後職員有問我地仲要唔要多個,呢個舉動都幾generous👍🏻.我點左一個英國熟成牛肉漢堡,而男朋友點左個fish and chips。先講我嗰份先啦,個熟成牛肉食落冇乜特別,冇乜牛味,調味亦都唔係特別出眾,成個漢堡食落嘅味道比較單一!反而薯條做得唔錯,上枱嘅時候好夠熱,外脆內軟,擔擔薯仔香味。男朋友就唔係太滿意佢嗰份fish and chips,原因係條炸魚份量較少,味道亦同普通冷藏魚柳無異,唔值呢個價錢。佢一路食嘅時候就講返以前係英國Swansea食過一個最好味嘅fish and chips🤣 咁回憶總是美好嘅🥰

It was a great choice to start the day. We chose (my favourite breakfast dish) the egg Benedict and a mixed berry pancake.

Egg Benedict
Loved it. The egg was done perfectly, set on the outside but running once cut open. The selection of ham used was a bit too salty to the taste, must eat it with the English muffin and egg with it to optimise the taste. I did loose some of the ham as we progressed.

Mixed berry pancake
Berries used were fresh and sweet. Especially loved the coulis/compote that came with the pancake instead of syrup. It was not too sweet and had a little bit of sourness from the natural fruit itself. The texture of the pancake was a little bit too rough from my experience. Nonetheless, the highlight was definitely in the pairing with the mixed berry coulis/compote.

We ordered a short rib as apetitiser which was very good, waiter told us later it is their popular dish & it is created in HK, I could taste the Chin Hoisin sauce marinate. I had a fried chicken with Frank’s chili sauce burger which was alright, a bit dry, need some more sauce, the country fries was tasty but slightly too salty.
